Meet Meadow!! This sweet angel is a snuggle bug and will take all the cuddles you want to give her. She is affectionate and loving and would like nothing better than to make your lap her home. Meadow has been neutered or spayed, given age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, is heartworm negative, and on prevention. If this sounds like the pup for you, please complete an application at https://www.saveastray.org/forms/form?formid=3635 Once the application is approved, a FaceTime will be set up for a virtual meet and greet. Since we are located in Mobile, AL, this will give you the opportunity to see the pet interact with other dogs, people, and see a bit of their personality. Transports leave every week alternating between the NE and the Great Lakes. We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. Minnie is ~5 years old, 25 lbs, female, black and tan patterdale terrier/beagle mix (best guess). She is a sweet and friendly gal who loves to get attention from humans! Everyone she meets adores her. While she is a tripod, she does not let that hold her back, she can be energetic & playful & loves playing in the yard. After a walk, Minnie settles down for a nice nap or a cuddle in your lap. She has done well with cats in her home. She is up-to-date on vaccines, crate trained, house trained. Minnie was found by animal control in NC with a leg injury. The shelter made an urgent plea to save her life. PetConnect Rescue came to her rescue, bringing her to a foster in the DC area and giving her necessary medical care, including leg amputation.Please get in touch to fill out a non-binding application to meet Minnie OR go to www.petconnectrescue.org (search for Minnie in adopt tab). Story
Rick is a golden retriever hound pit mix who is very food motivated! He works outstanding with any dog he meets, he play with any dog of any size and temperament. He is protective of the family which means while in the home, he is wary of guests. He does not like to be pet directly on the head (stranger danger!) He loves to snuggle with family and he is very effectionate with children and babies. Though it may take some time for him to warm up to his new family! Hes loves to hiking, running, and general play! Due to some personal matters and our first baby we are unable to give him the quality time and play he needs. Story
Chicken is a red heeler chihuahua mix with a huge personality and an even bigger love for fetch and I mean she loves it. She’s super affectionate and adores being close to her people, but she also appreciates her own space and downtime and settles well when it’s time to relax. Chicken does great with other dogs and is wonderful with kids, making her an overall amazing family dog. She’s never been around cats, so we’re not sure how she’d do in a home with them. She’s also a fantastic adventure buddy: she loves hiking, has great recall, and is the kind of dog that makes being outdoors even more fun. We recently welcomed a newborn baby, and as much as we love Chicken, we’re not able to give her the quality time, attention, and daily play she deserves right now so we’re looking for a loving home where she can get the time and companionship she needs. He's a sweet dog most of the time, but can be very stubborn when he wants to be. I could no longer keep him because he would always be erratic towards strangers and other dogs. And this made my tenant feel very uncomfortable. He can be very playful, I just personally could not risk his behavior worsening while I have a tenant in the home. It pains me deeply to let him go, but it must be done. Please love my boy, I'm sure he will bring joy to whoever his new family is.
