Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Buttercup is an adorable pup who is looking for a new home. She is currently with one of our sister rescues in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ soon with an approved foster or adopter. Buttercup’s story almost didn’t have the happy turn it deserved—but thanks to a compassionate shelter volunteer and our incredible rescue partners, this little girl got her second chance. Buttercup is a 13-pound Pekingese/Beagle mix with a heart just as soft as her name. She was on her way to a rural shelter alongside her older sibling, Daisy, when someone stepped in and made sure she’d have a brighter future. Now, she’s ready to find a forever home of her own. This sweet girl is the perfect blend of affectionate and playful. She loves being close to her people, happily soaking up attention, but also has just the right amount of spunk to keep you smiling. Buttercup is wonderful with other dogs and adores people of all ages, including kids, making her an easy addition to many different types of homes. At just 13 pounds, she’s the ideal size for apartment or condo living—and she won’t get any bigger. She’s already leash-trained and crate-trained, making her an easy, low-stress companion to welcome into your life. If you’re looking for a loving little dog who will happily be your shadow, your cuddle buddy, and your daily dose of joy, Buttercup is ready to meet you. Apply to adopt Buttercup and give this deserving girl the forever home she’s been waiting for. Buttercup is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Her adoption donation is $600. Adopting an animal is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these animals have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. How to Adopt Me!
