He thrives on close companionship, enjoys being near his people, and is naturally protective in a gentle, loyal way. He is vocal and expressive—he likes to “talk” and let you know how he is feeling, which is part of his charm once you understand him. Recent life changes, including the arrival of a baby, have proven overwhelming for him, and we want to ensure everyone’s safety and happiness. He would do best in a quiet home with experienced adult owners and no small children, other dogs, or cats—where he can relax and truly be himself again. This decision comes from love, not lack of it.
