Equal parts cuddle bug and brainiac, this girl is as smart as she is snuggly — and trust us, she takes both jobs very seriously.     Pumpernickel Swirl is a certified family favorite:  she adores kids, gets along beautifully with other dogs, and has shown no interest in stirring up drama with cats. Got an active household? Perfect. Pumpernickel Swirl would thrive in a home where adventures are on the daily menu — think backyard zoomies, long walks, and maybe even the occasional dog park outing. After she’s had her fun, she’s more than happy to “loaf” around with her favorite humans and soak up all the love.     Now, every special recipe has its quirks — and Pumpernickel Swirl is no exception. She has some food allergies and requires a special diet along with allergy medication. But don’t worry — she handles her routine like a champ, and in return, you get a happy, healthy pup who will love you endlessly.     If you’re looking for a loyal companion who is equal parts playful, affectionate, and whip-smart, Pumpernickel Swirl might just be your perfect match. She’s ready to rise to the occasion… all she needs now is a home to call her own. So, what do you say — are you ready to add a little Swirl to your world?  Apply today!  Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Story
Meet Montana This long-legged beauty is a 4-month-old bundle of joy who’s ready to find her forever home! Montana is a unique mix of Plott Hound and Great Pyrenees, which means she’s got the perfect blend of playful energy and gentle, loyal sweetness. Montana loves to run, explore, and play—her long legs make her extra bouncy and fun to watch! She’s still a puppy, so she’s learning about the world every day and would thrive with a family ready to guide her with patience, love, and lots of belly rubs. She would do great in a home where she can stretch her legs, play, and be part of the family. Whether it’s outdoor adventures or cozy evenings, Montana is ready to be your loyal companion through it all. If you’re looking for a smart, affectionate, and playful pup to grow with your family, Montana might just be your perfect match Reach out today to learn more about adopting Montana! Story
Current Location: Littlestown, PA Hello! My name is Cordelia! I'm coming to OPH on 3/13. Please check back soon for updates on my personality, and to see adorable new photos. I'm searching for... * someone who won't leave me home alone for more than 4 hrs, at least not until I am older. The older I am the more I can stay home alone. I just don't want you to get mad at me if I have accidents or chew things I'm not supposed to when you leave me for too long. I'm a puppy, so I get bored quick and when I'm bored I could get in trouble. * I am looking for my forever home, not my for right now home. So as I get bigger I need someone to teach me how to be the best dog I can be. I am young and still learning. You may want to teach me some new tricks like sit, stay, etc. Professional training will help me bond with you. That sounds like fun! * I saved the most important for last. I am hoping my new mom or dad will snuggle with me, play with me and love me forever and ever! I'm making my way north in search of my new family. Is that with you? If so apply today because this cuteness won’t be around for long!
