Story
Deuce is a handsome brindle who loves treats and goes potty right away. He is easy to leash up in the kennel and didn’t show anxiety inside or outside. He didn’t mind all of the barking dogs walking past him either. He will show his appreciation for you with his wagging tail. Deuce enjoys smelling the fresh air and grass and would love someone to take him home so he can roll on the grass at his new place! he loves to play with a ball. He’s a fun boy! When he is excited and sits for a treat, he almost automatically puts a paw up to shake ??

Story
Hiya! I'm Colossus, your friendly neighborhood goofball. I'm young, sweet, and a bit shy, but boy, can I play! I ended up here in the shelter due to a hilarious mix-up. See, I was playing hide-and-seek with my human, and I hid in a 'found pet' van. I won the game, but I also won a trip to the shelter! I'm not complaining though, it's been a blast! But, I'm ready for my next adventure. I promise to fill your life with laughter, slobbery kisses, and endless games of hide-and-seek. Adopt me, let's make memories!

She is a joyful and energetic gal who is on the hunt for a new forever home. Phoebe is a very smart lady and has mastered an impressive array of tricks and commands! She has learned to sit, stay, catch, fetch (catch and fetch can be played outside or from the couch!), jump, "touch" (her nose to your hand), and even find and retrieve objects hidden throughout the house by scent. Phoebe has incredible ball-handling skills, especially with soccer-sized balls (she loves playing monkey in the middle), and is equally happy lounging around or joining you on short jogs. She has grown into a medium-sized, funny, floppy sweetheart who brings smiles wherever she goes.Phoebe's socialization journey includes two Humane Rescue Alliance classes—basic manners and puppy kindergarten—which she passed with flying colors. She is particularly well-socialized with other dogs, exhibiting adorable 'resource-sharing' behavior by offering her toys to other dogs at the park.  However, Phoebe would ultimately do best in a cat- and kid-free home that can provide the stability and calm she needs. She would be the perfect additional companion to a home with one or more other dogs!If you would like to meet Phoebe, please submit an application today and change this beautiful girl's life forever!  Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.       Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME!  Help Save Lives!  Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13732Hi!My name is Mama and came up to Maryland on the 7/12 OPH transport. I’m guessed to be a Plott Hound/Lab mixed breed dog. I am a 3 years old and weigh about 51 lbs. I am a very sweet, low key girl. I have been an excellent house guest:***I sleep all nite in my crate and wait quietly until my family wakes up. I also will hang out in my crate during the day to nap. ***I haven’t had any “accidents” in the house and let my fosters know when I need to go out. ***I have not jumped up on the furniture or beds.***I know sit command. I’m a smart cookie and could certainly learn more.I really enjoy going on walks and hanging out outside. I get along well with my foster brother and have started playing with his toys. I almost forget - the pets - I love all the pets- head rubs, belly rubs , ear scratches- ❤️ them all!If you are looking for a well behaved, easy going dog, then I’m your girl. I can't wait to get to my forever home! Is that with you? Apply to adopt me today! This cuteness won’t be available for long!

Story
Bruce is a fabulous example of a forgiving and loving dog that was abandoned and found himself on the streets of a small town in Tennessee.  He had nowhere to go and some kind people took him in to hold him safely while Critter Cavalry Rescue takes time to find him the best home ever.   He is a Plott hound/Pit mix from what we can see in his markings and his stature.  He is 2 years old and 65 pounds and he is one special dog that is so handsome and is truly a gentle giant!  This boy has everything going for him with great house manners and housebroken as well.  He crate trained and is living in a foster home in an apartment.  He is a medium energy young man that gets along well with the other dog in his foster home.  He loves play time outside, as well as being a snuggly couch potato. Bruce is learning to walk on leash and will need daily practice to stop pulling. He loves to ride in a car, likes carrots and ice cubes. When at home he loves to look out the window and will do that for hours.  Recently he spent some time boarding and was a favorite with the staff and he demonstrated an ability to be very sweet and easy with some of the children of the staff members.  The only NO about Bruce is that he is not fond of cats, so no feline siblings.  He would probably do best with another gentle, playful dog of his same size.  He would be fine being the only dog and always center of attention, too!  Older children over 7 years of age might be best, but only because of his size.  If you are looking for a best friend and/or family member to run, hike, play, explore, and then curl up for some couch time, Bruce is your guy!  He is so beautiful and regal.  He looks around like he is surveying his kingdom and hoping that all is well.  You could really make his life a happy ending if you could consider adopting Bruce.  Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and ask all the questions that you need and also ask for an adoption form. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 26, 2024, 2:09 pm
