Dog's Name: Phoebe (PHO0724OWSFS)Estimated Breed: Plott Hound / Boxer MIX Approximate Age: 1-2 yearsApproximate Weight: 45 lbsCurrently Living at: FosterAdoption Fee: $400DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Phoebe! She is a joyful and energetic gal who is on the hunt for a new forever home. Phoebe is a very smart lady and has mastered an impressive array of tricks and commands! She has learned to sit, stay, catch, fetch (catch and fetch can be played outside or from the couch!), jump, "touch" (her nose to your hand), and even find and retrieve objects hidden throughout the house by scent. Phoebe has incredible ball-handling skills, especially with soccer-sized balls (she loves playing monkey in the middle), and is equally happy lounging around or joining you on short jogs. She has grown into a medium-sized, funny, floppy sweetheart who brings smiles wherever she goes.Phoebe's socialization journey includes two Humane Rescue Alliance classes—basic manners and puppy kindergarten—which she passed with flying colors. She is particularly well-socialized with other dogs, exhibiting adorable 'resource-sharing' behavior by offering her toys to other dogs at the park. However, Phoebe would ultimately do best in a cat- and kid-free home that can provide the stability and calm she needs. She would be the perfect additional companion to a home with one or more other dogs!If you would like to meet Phoebe, please submit an application today and change this beautiful girl's life forever! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
