Story
Men are from Mars :0 Remember that theory? Men from Mars and women from Venus?? So I AM MARS!! lol and I am a male!! SO MISUNDERSTOOD!! (all women rolling their eyes :) I am a big puppy... At the rescue again after being adopted in 2020!! :( I was returned by my "family" for something the rescue did before i left as a puppy- socialize me... SO, this is the thing... when you adopt a puppy especially, take the time to SOCIALIZE them all different situations and all different people and other animals.... it is your responsibility. WE committed to Mars so if his "family" gave up on him, we would not! He is back with the rescue and looking for his FOREVER HOME! Do NOT apply to adopt him if you are not committed to him, cause he deserves better!! He is a sweet and loving guy, active and BIG so must be a good leader and must keep him happy and exercised and loved!! Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
We got Robin from BARCS a month ago. She's silly, sweet, and very loyal, but unfortunately is quite reactive to other dogs. She would do best with younger, active owners who live in a secluded area without many urban distractions or stressors. From what we have observed, she is happiest as the only pet in the house.

Timmie is about 3 years old and 32lbs. He would do best in a household with other dogs around to keep him company. He does well on car rides and walks. He is house trained and crate trained and is ecollar trained. Once he warms up he is quite the snuggle bug!💖

Bittie was rescued from an overcrowded Alabama shelter and now safe with K-9 Lifesavers, he’s ready for his forever home. This handsome Plott Hound/Mountain Cur mix has a beautiful brindle coat and a playful, affectionate personality. He loves people, gets along great with dogs and kids, and already knows several commands. Active and athletic, Bittie would make a perfect adventure buddy and a wonderful addition to a loving family. Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Story
Sensitive souls like Frankie are one of a kind. They are extremely loyal and trust their humans completely. They are wary of strangers, however, and will require a bit of time to feel totally comfortable with them. Once you're in their circle of trust, you are a friend for life! This 3-4 year old 55lbs medium energy good boy sports a beautiful brindle coat with white patches and stripes decorating in strategic spots to give me my unique look. He walks beautifully on the leash, is potty and crate trained. Frankie LOVES walks and would be the perfect companion for anyone looking for a walking buddy or hiking friend. He equally loves to snuggle up on the couch and enjoy the quiet moments in life. He is quite adaptable, but would prefer quiet homes without lots of comings and goings. The city setting with loud noises and busy streets prove to be too hectic and stressful for him. Life in the suburbs (especially with a backyard) is more his vibe. Frankie is very dog friendly. When it comes to humans, it takes him a bit to warm up. He is a little cautious of strangers but is not above bribing. He just needs people to greet him respectfully and not invade his space. If you live in a quiet neighborhood in DC/MD/NoVa and are looking for your next partner in crime, Frankie will happily be your ride or die! Just fill out an application for him via the link below to begin the process: https://forms.gle/or8PCrfNVhSjanNj9
