Norman - Plott Hound/Heeler Mix - Male - 7 Yrs - www.twyla.org If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org Meet Norman: this delightful little guy is about 30 lbs, a neutered male Plott Hound and blue Heeler mix, we think. Norman does not have a tail and was likely born without one. He LOVES to run and play, likes toys and gets along well with other dogs and cats and loves kids of all ages. Norman walks well on leash, rides well in the car and is crate and house trained. Norman is looking for an active home that will take the time to exercise him regularly as he really likes to run. He is quite "slippery" near the front door and will take himself for a run if that door is not watched properly, especially with kids in the house. He would love a jogging partner, that will likely satisfy his desire to run and curb his interest for solo excursion. Mission: Woof Pack Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit working to improve the health, welfare, and safety of Houston's dogs. Our organization was started by one dog mom on a mission to help those animals in need. Our goal is to find loving homes for abandoned, lost, forgotten or mistreated dogs from the streets of Houston and surrounding areas. Currently being fostered in Houston, Tx with transport available out of state. Penny is an adorable, quirky little girl, about 18 months old, originally found in the middle of an esplanade on a busy street and made it across to the neighborhood side and huddled against the outside of a fence, terrified. We thought she had been spayed already, as she had a scar on her belly. Her ear was either bitten or snipped and she was/is missing some of the fur on her side. Since we originally had to board her, we soon found out, she was not spayed as she went into heat at the vet. The vet and all who have examined her agree, her scar was from having a c-section as she had definitely had at least one litter of puppies, possibly used to breed for the beautiful brindle coat she has. She is - hw negative, -spayed, - UTD on all vaccinations. - She is good with all the other dogs, small and larger. - she loves to be around people and her favorite yoga position is the "sploot". - she loves to lay with her belly flat on the floor and back legs straight out and somehow, she will move backwards in that position without seeming to move anything. - She has a very unique cross between a howl and coo. Don't be fooled by her small size, she's a sturdy girl and her head can scooch thru a slightly open door to go in the backyard before you know it. - She's a toy destroyer, so heavy chewer toys only or you'll find tufts of toy guts everywhere! But she saves the squeaker for you. She is a beautiful girl, her markings are like a tigress, and she has a beautiful heart that you can see when she looks at you with her big brown eyes. A furever home with a fur-friend for her to play with would be great, or she would be content hanging out near you while you work. **Penny is available to transport to Austin or out of state, preferably northern states.

Introducing Claire (fka St. Clair)!! Claire is a BEAUTIFUL brindle labbie mix. Sweet Claire was rescued from the same cruelty situation as her brother, Frank, abandoned outside after their owners moved away. Unfortunately like so many other amazing dogs in Houston, Frank and Claire both found themselves on the euthanasia list due to time and space. Scouts Honor stepped in after first meeting Frank, knowing we could NOT leave his sister behind!! Claire is a little shy, but loves other dogs just like her brother Frank. They are not a bonded pair- so can go to separate homes! We think she’s around 4-5 years old and probably should be closer to 60lbs once she puts on some weight! She is very eager to please, loves treats, and would be the perfect companion in any home. We are excited to give this dog a second chance at life to know the love she truly deserves. Claire would LOVE to be in a forever home! Let's show Claire love she’s never experienced before! We found Hoagie wandering around when he was a puppy. He was covered in fleas, had a swollen leg, and had a small collar on that needed to be cut off. After unsuccessfully finding his home we decided to keep him. We’ve had Hoagie for about 4 years but our senior rescue has decided he no longer likes him and tries to attack him. We now have to keep them separated. Hoagie is extremely smart and easily trained. He’s the most obedient dog we’ve ever had. He loves to play with our other dog and needs a yard to run around. He absolutely loves playing outside. He is also a huge snuggle bug. He does great with our 1 year old daughter. He is not up to date on his shots or neutered, but we will take care of this before placing him in a new home. It breaks our hearts to have to find Hoagie a new home, but we’re hoping to find the perfect family for him.
