Story
Meet Max! Max is an "honorary" beagle, but we could not pass up those beautiful floppy ears. Our best guess is that Max is mainly Pointer with a little herding dog thrown in. He's 7-8 years old, about 45 lbs, and neutered. Max is an active dog with an active mind, so he will need an owner who appreciates these things about him. He loves toys, games and running, but will do ANYTHING for string cheese! He's got a fun personality, loves people, and takes treats oh so nicely. Max knows a few simple commands and with the magic cheese is learning more. As a hunting dog, Max does have a strong prey drive, so we will not place him with cats, small dogs, small furry others, or reptiles. Max will do well in a home with a large, securely fenced yard. He didn't have the best life up until now, but thanks to the good folks at the shelter and Beagle Rescue he is on the way to finding his forever family.

ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13710My Royal SubjectsMy name is Kabir and I originate from the Kibble Kingdom along with my siblings. I am crate trained and use my doggy door when I need to go. I love to play with toys and in the water. I am still learning not to pull on the leash, but I love to go for walks. Our kingdom is a small one, but it is a whimsical and imaginative place that is ruled by cats and dogs. In Kibble Kingdom, kibble is our currency of choice and all creatures embark on epic adventures. Our epic adventure started in MS where we were born and spent the first 5 months of our life. On June 21st we started the next part of our journey North to the folks here at OPH. They have agreed to help us complete our journey and find our forever homes where we live out our dreams of a family of our own. While we are waiting for our family to find us we will be in our foster home showing our foster family all of our traits and learning all about home life. Please check back and see how we continue to grow. Some fast facts about me:~ I'm about 5 months old~ At my health check I was 34 pounds~ I'm a Pointer mixed breed dog. Their is likely lab in my heritage but what else is up to you to discover.~ I'm learning about home life such as crate training, leash walking and housetraining.~ I'm neutered~ I'm up to date on my shotsI hope to meet you soon!

Story
Milo has been the best thing to happen to my life, which is why it is very hard for my family and me to let him go. He forced me to explore my neighborhood, making me active when I used to stay indoors. Milo makes us laugh and sometimes mad when he misbehaves, but in the two years we've known him, he has brought so much joy. He loves meeting new dogs and is very protective of our home and us. Unlike other dogs, once he realizes you are not a threat, he becomes calm and non-defensive. Patience is key with Milo because he can be very energetic one day and lazy the next, preferring to stay indoors when it rains. He's well-trained, knowing to poop and pee outside and signaling when he needs to go. Impressively, he can go off-leash and never runs away. Letting him go is heartbreaking, but we know he will bring joy to his new home. Milo has profoundly impacted our lives, encouraging us to be active and providing endless entertainment and companionship. I just hope you all give him a chance.

Story
Lulu Lulu is an adult 5 year old Pointer mix. Her family adopted her in 2019 and was returned because they had a baby and Lulu just did not understand. Of course she is sad, guarded and trying to figure out what happened and why her family left her. We are working with Lulu, but she could use a placement in a patient and saavy home to help her be a happy dog again.
