His favorite things include curling up next to his person, sleeping snuggled in bed all night, getting his ears scratched, belly rubs, and happily chewing on a good bone. He’s confident, playful, and full of personality—the kind of dog who will keep you smiling and make you feel like the center of his world. He does best as the only dog in the home so he can soak up all the attention he deserves. He’s wonderful with adults and teenagers (not yet tested with little kids) and would thrive with someone willing to continue working on leash manners while enjoying all the love and loyalty he has to give.      This sweet, cuddly boy is ready to be someone’s devoted best friend. Apply today!Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Larry is an adorable, sweet boy who has a way of brightening anyone’s day with his happy personality, affectionate nature, and eagerness to show you everything he knows. Larry and his two brothers, Luke and Diego, found themselves where no puppy should ever be - a very full shelter in Alabama. Thankfully, K-9 Lifesavers stepped in just in time, and now Larry is safe, thriving, and ready to find his forever family. Could that be you?Larry is a handsome pointer mix (best guess) with an adorable white coat sprinkled with charming brown spots. But his good looks are only part of what makes him special. Larry is affectionate, joyful, incredibly smart, and eager to please. He is highly food motivated and has already graduated from a six-month training program where he learned an impressive list of skills, including sit, lie down, touch, wait, leave it, loose-leash walking, and waiting at doors and for meals until he receives his release cue. His recall cue is “here,” and when he hears it, Larry comes right away!Larry is also fully house trained and does well during alone time, making him a wonderful companion both inside and out. He absolutely loves people and enjoys other dogs. While he could happily live with a female canine companion, Larry would also be perfectly content as your one and only dog. When it’s time to have fun, Larry is all in! He loves playing with chew toys, playing tug-of-war, and exploring the world alongside his person. And when the adventure is over, he’s more than happy to snuggle up for some cuddles and belly scratches. He has the perfect combination of playful energy and affectionate sweetness. This wonderful boy has so much love to give. Larry is ready to be someone’s devoted companion, best friend, adventure buddy, and cuddlebug. He truly has the potential to be an amazing lifelong companion who will forever change his adopter’s life - just as they will change his.  Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. My name is Penny, and I’m a sweet little Pointer mix (best guess) with a big heart and an even bigger wiggle. I was found as a stray in rural Georgia, and when no one came to claim me, the kind folks at K-9 Lifesavers stepped in and rescued me. I may have had a rough start, but you’d never know it from my happy personality!  I’m your typical friendly, loving dog. I love other dogs, I adore people, and I’m always ready to hand out plenty of wet-nose kisses and enthusiastic butt wiggles. Making new friends is one of my favorite things! I’m also at a wonderful age for training, learning, and socializing, which means I’m ready to grow into the amazing dog I’m meant to be with a family to guide me. I just know my forever home is out there somewhere. If you’re looking for a sweet, happy puppy who will fill your days with love, laughter, and lots of tail wags, then I might just be your girl.     Apply today and change this deserving girl’s life forever — I promise to love you right back! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/  .
