Thankfully, an experienced foster took him in and gave him the time, structure, and love he needed to blossom into the amazing pup he truly is.He found what we hoped would be his forever home in 2020, but sadly, Skippy has found himself back with us—returned because his adopters couldn't provide the guidance he still needs. The one human who has ever made Skippy feel safe was his foster mama. She saw his heart, his potential, and never gave up on him.And we won’t either.Skippy deserves more than just another stop on his journey—he deserves his person. Someone patient, experienced, and kind. Someone who understands that trust is earned, not expected. He is a friendly, smart, playful, and obedient puppy who is doing very well with his training for his age\. He gets along great with both people and other dogs and has a wonderful temperament. He has received two of his three puppy vaccinations, with one remaining. He has been well cared for and loved since coming into my home. Unfortunately, due to my work schedule in EMS, I’m unable to give him the time and attention he deserves. I don’t have anyone available to help care for him while I’m working, and professional pet\-sitting can become costly. This is a difficult decision, but my priority is finding him a loving and responsible home where he can continue to grow, learn, and receive the care he deserves\.

She is a one year-old 60 pound Pointer mix that was brought into our shelter as a stray on 8/19. It looks like she’s been well cared for. She has an easy-going, fun-loving disposition. She appears to be smiling and her tail wags constantly. She’s friendly, enthusiastic, sociable, sweet, and affectionate. She occasionally jumps on you but gets down when told to do so. She loves to be in the presence of people and enjoys having her ears scratched. She did her business as soon as she got out into the yard. She walked ahead of me on the leash without pulling. She’s a special gal that would like to show you her playful side, get out to expend some of her energy and then come in the house for cuddles.
