Story
Looking for unconditional love? Meet Handsome Hank, the epitome of affection, cuddliness and playfulness combined! This charming boy is eagerly waiting to find his forever home and shower his lucky adopters with an endless supply of kisses and cuddles! Hank's playful energy is infectious. His active nature makes him an ideal companion for an adventurous individual or a family that enjoys outdoor activities, but he is also an expert in the art of relaxation. This beautiful boy is remarkably well-behaved, having mastered the fine art of house and crate training. With a calm demeanor that puts even the most chaotic situations at ease, Hank is the perfect sidekick for your home office. He'll be content to curl up next to your desk, offering companionship and warmth during those long work hours. Handsome Hank has a friendly disposition towards other dogs. While he hasn't had much exposure to cats or children, his adaptable nature suggests that with proper introductions and guidance, he could potentially thrive in a home with feline or youthful (11 yo or older) companions. However, it would be best to arrange a meet-and-greet to assess compatibility and ensure everyone's happiness and safety. Handsome Hank's affectionate nature, combined with his playful spirit and adaptability, make him the ideal addition to any home seeking a loyal and loving companion. Story
Hank is a super sweet and goofy boy. He was found as a stray in the country, just trying to survive on his own. People were very mean to him when he would come around looking for food.  Because of this, he is very shy/nervous in new places and around new people, but non aggressive.   Once you win him over, he will give you his entire heart.  He is extremely loving and affectionate, quite the big baby. Hank is loyal, and goofy.  He loves to play and loves adventure. His smile as is big as Texas and his little under bite is one of the cutest things you'll see! He would do best in a low traffic home. He has been fostered with a small (very dog experienced) child and is great, but he is a bit hyper and clumsy at times and can accidentally knock a small child down, (he's 80lbs), so he would do best with older children.  He would thrive in a home with another dog to play with in a big back yard, but does require slow introductions as he is wary of new dogs at first.  He is rambunctious with his dog friends and needs a friend that tolerate his ruff house play!  He has been with other dogs ranging from 15-65lbs.  Hank does well with non confrontational cats! Hank has a (back) foot deformity.  We do not know if it was a birth defect or if something happened to him, but he only has one toe on his back foot, which contributes some to his clumsiness.  He has been on glucosamine and joint supplements his entire time in rescue and it is recommended he stays on them his entire life to prevent early arthritis because of his foot.  It is not expensive and can be bought over the counter. If you're interested in meeting this baby, please reach out or submit an application on our website. Please be sure to include your phone number on inquiries and check your spam folder for email responses!  ##609473##

Story
Meet our girl Orchid! Orchid currently lives in boarding and is ready to find her furever home, or a foster home that will welcome her and show her life in a loving home! Orchid's life started out ruff, and when she was found as a stray with her puppy, she understandably had a lot of fear. Orchid is in the Good Canine Citizen group. Through her work in this group, she has gained her confidence back and has become a very happy, sweet girl, who is a calming influence on other dogs. Orchid may start off a bit shy, but once she warms up you will have lots of kisses and a loyal best friend for life. Orchid is excited to find a comfy bed and a special toy she can call her own. She isn't hugely food motivated, but she would like her new family to know that she does like hot dogs, string cheese, chicken and especially Gogurt!! She loves to walk, is great on a leash and knows basic commands. She just needs someone to step up and show her what life in a home is all about. She is smart and ready to please so have no doubt she would adapt quickly. She is mild mannered but just needs a little time to adjust. We recommend a home with no small children, as they do alarm her a bit. Don't miss out on this Certified Beauty! This precious mom and her sole pup were found as strays and brought to the shelter. Mom was emaciated and so frightened what her future held for her and her baby. They clearly had not known love and attention. The baby was so attached to mom and probably the only pup to have survived. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
Pipi, the love muffin! This girl is so affectionate and sweet; such a lover and so social. She is a favorite and looking for a foster home or adopter to invest in her. She so deserves that and has so much love to share! Pipi is well behaved, sweet, playful and a couch potato at heart! She is very quick to learn new commands because she is treat motivated. She is a lovely lady. Pipi is a solid little pocket pit who does really well with bigger dogs and proper introductions. Cats and littles are not a good fit. Pipi is a sweet, adorable, intelligent girl. Aside from the basics like come, sit, place and leave it she picked up shake, drop and spin like a champ. Who would love to give this girl the opportunity to let her personality shine. She loves playing with her toys especially balls, and greets you with her big beautiful eyes. Her confidence is improving and she has worked with our trainer on leash walking and reaction to visual stimulus like squirrels or cats. She has been incredibly teachable and redirects well. She is house trained. Her life before rescue had a lot of sad parts. She was found in a shelter with two babies who were very sick. She lost both babies, the only joy she knew in life. She has blossomed into the dog she deserves to be. There is just so much to love! For more information, you can email adopt@dallasdogrrr.org. Upon receiving your application please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
Archer came to our rescue after being picked up as a stray. He doesn’t know his front ankles aren’t ‘normal’ as he gets around just fine. This condition is Angular Limb Disorder and attempting surgeries to resolve could make his situation worse. While he wouldn’t be a great running companion he still loves going for walks and short jogs. Long or strenuous walks could make him sore, so his family would want to avoid that as he would go if asked. This handsome boy is a happy, outgoing, gentle soul. He loves humans of all sizes and ages. Being with his humans and getting attention is his very favorite thing. He lives with lots of other dogs and is fine with everyone unless they are nasty to him; he won’t be bullied by anyone. He is good around the cats in his foster home who are very dog savvy. Archer has excellent house manners and is crate trained. He is engaged with his humans and treat motivated so would do well with training. He already has great recall and will sit for treats. He loves going for rides and would be a great go-everywhere dog. Archer is fully vetted – current vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Story
Bianca came to us with a head trauma which resulted in the loss of her eye and surgery to repair the damage to her mouth/facial area, but she fully recovered and is a happy, outgoing, playful girl. This lovely girl gets along with other dogs of all sizes and ages and would excel in a home with other dogs to spend time with. She is great with humans of all sizes and ages also and loves getting attention. Though she is crate trained, she would rather not have to be in one; she’s not destructive and is only crated in her foster home for safety reasons. She has great house manners and will go to the door when she needs to potty.Bianca is fully vetted - current with her vaccines, spayed and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, and microchipped.
