Sweet, Gentle & Shy-Meet Elizabeth
Elizabeth is a beautiful, 6-year old Pomeranian who weighs approximately 25 lbs.
This sweet, gentle girl loves to lay outside in the shade or curl up on her cozy bed. She enjoys being in the same room/space as people, and likes to watch her human companions from a short distance.
Her tail and ears perk up when she sees other dogs! And she loves to roam around in the yard and house with other pups before plopping down into a corner for a long nap-complete with the cutest puppy snores.
Elizabeth is shy, but enjoys when you pet her head, gently brush her fur and speak to her in a soft voice-she even wags her tail a little! She also enjoys being carried.
In a short time she has already learned to go up and down the stairs, and her potty training has improved immensely (about 75% of the way there!). At night she sleeps in a pack-and-play and has had no accidents.
Elizabeth would do best in a patient home with another canine companion to show her the ropes.
If you're looking for a quiet, curious girl to keep you company as you garden outside, read on your porch or watch a movie on the couch, she is your match.
With love and attention, Elizabeth is sure to bloom into a sweet, vibrant dog!
Elizabeth is currently being fostered in West New York, NJ. Her adoption fee is $600.
Elizabeth is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well.

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
