**Meet Peaches! How a sweet little girl like Peaches ended up homeless at the beginning of her life, we'll never know. Thankfully, a kind Good Samaritan brought her to our door. She arrived tired, hungry, and far too thin, but now she's discovering just how wonderful life can be. She loves cozy blankets, fun toys, good meals, and the comfort and safety of living indoors. Peaches appears to be a Chihuahua, Pug, and Jack Russell Terrier mix ?. She is approximately 6 ½ to 8 ½ months old and weighs just 10 pounds. She is a little shy when meeting new people, but she has the sweetest, most gentle personality and blossoms with a little patience and kindness. Like any young puppy, Peaches will need continued house training and leash training. She has already learned the sanctuary routine and happily follows the other dogs through the doggie door, showing how eager she is to learn. This funny pup is named Theodore. He was born 1/2/2025 and originally came to our shelter with 2 littermates. He looks to be a pug that got mixed up with a large breed dog - very unique and nothing we've seen before! He looks like someone hit the "randomizer" option when building this boy. :) He has grown to a hefty 45 lbs, but still remains quite short and stocky. We know someone's out there who would love to have a giant pug! He was adopted as a pup, and unfortunately didn't receive the proper housetraining required for a puppy, so he still is working on that. He is back with us due to his family not being able to provide the proper care and training, as they did not have the time. He spent all his alone time in a crate, so we hope to find a home where he doesn't have to be in one again, and he receives the attention he deserves. He has many good marks on his record that they learned while he was in their home - he is a lovely, social boy who gets along with everyone, and he has many good experiences playing with other dogs his size. He loves a good car ride, and he enjoys a little off-leash running time at the local dog park. He is great on leash for walks as well. His favorite activities include playing fetch, snuggling with his people, and playing with rope toys. Meet Spencer, a sweet and playful Pug mix! Born in November 2025, Spencer is still very much a puppy at heart with plenty of playful, affectionate energy to share. Sadly, his previous owner had to make the difficult choice to rehome him due to rising apartment pet rent fees, so he's now searching for his true forever family. He's already fully housetrained! Bebe is a purebred 4 yr old Pug. At 7 years old, Furious is a sweet, affectionate boy who loves kids, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and is happiest when he can curl up in your lap for maximum snuggles. He has no problem putting his entire body on you to get as close as possible! Furious came to us as an owner surrender when his family realized their long work hours made it difficult to provide the care and attention he deserved. They wanted him to have the opportunity to find a home where he could enjoy more companionship. When we received him, we discovered that Furious has significant vision loss, with some remaining peripheral vision, which our vet later confirmed. He navigates his surroundings well, settles into new environments quickly, and enjoys toys when someone joins in to help him play. He's crate trained and potty trained, too! He was also diagnosed with bilateral ear infections and ruptured eardrums, which have left him with limited hearing. Despite these challenges, he navigates his world remarkably well. He will need patience and time to adjust to a new home and routine, along with a family willing to accommodate his sensory limitations. Furious is headed to Pug Hotel, our senior pug and hospice sanctuary partner in Ukiah, CA, where he can stay as long as he needs while we search for his perfect match. He's an incredibly loving boy who deserves a home that will appreciate his gentle nature, give him time to settle in, and provide all the comfort, companionship, and lap time he could ever want. Furious is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and has received a dental. He's ready for a new chapter with someone who will love him just as he is.

Bodie is a sweet, energetic pug with a big personality. He gets so excited when he gets attention that he can't help but tell you all about it. He's playful, curious, loves being around other dogs, and is already starting to discover just how nice it is to have people looking out for him. He loves playing with toys and bones and will jump on the couch for a nice nap. He loves walks and does well on a leash and dog parks are amazingly fun. He is potty trained to a dog door now as well. We estimate Bodie is 4-6 years old. He came to us from Oakland Animal Services after being found as a stray, and while we don't know much about his past, we suspect he hasn't had much positive human interaction. Some of his teeth are unusually short, which our vet believes may be from chewing on a cage or enclosure. He's also a little jumpy, fearful at the vet so may need some sedation for vet appointments which isn't uncommon. Bodie has learned that humans are much nicer than those he knew in the past. He will let you pet him, carry him and touch his face which scared him at first. At our recent Oakland pug meetup, he did wonderfully mingling with dozens of pugs, and we loved seeing how much confidence he gained simply from being around friendly people and dogs. While he was fine around children at the park and at another adoption event, we would recommend older kids since we don't know his past traumas. This sweet guy has come a long way from living in a cage to being in a loving foster home and will continue to flourish in his forever home we are sure. It's hard to know what Bodie experienced before rescue, but some of his behaviors suggest that life may not have always been kind to him. He can be anxious about what's happening around him, and all of this sudden attention, affection, new people, and new experiences are a lot to process. We think there's a very sweet, loving dog underneath that uncertainty, and he just needs time to realize that this good life isn't going anywhere. Bodie is looking for someone who will meet him where he is and give him the patience and stability to build trust at his own pace. He's high energy and would likely love having another confident, friendly dog in the home to show him the ropes. We'd especially love a home where his people are around most of the time or can bring him along for adventures.
