Story
Courtesy post Meet Rolo. He is a 12 week old Pug who somehow ended up homeless. Luckily he was quickly placed with a foster to has children, dog and cat so he is well rounded little guy. He is a baby so a home with someone home during the day rather than being alone for 8 to 12 hours per day is very important. Rolo is neutered and has had 2 vaccines. He is on his way to being fully crate trained and is doing great on the potty training. His new family will need to be able and willing to continue with his training. If you are interested in meeting Rolo, please contact us for an application and to set up a meet and great! dirtypawsanimalrescue@gmail.com

Story
Sunny Side Up is looking for a loving home! All puppies need extra help learning about the world around them, and to be comfortable with new people and new dog friends. We encourage all puppy adopters to enroll their puppies in puppy socials starting at 8 weeks, and puppy training classes by 10 weeks. Participating in these activities will help your puppy grow up to be a happy, confident, and a well-rounded adult dog. It is also essential to help them build positive association with the world, by pairing new experiences with delicious treats. Primary Color: Black Weight: 15.2 Age: 0yrs 4mths 4wks

Story
Pug / Dachshund Mix Age: ≈ 4 years old Female, spayed 15 lbs Adoption Fee: $125 (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) Cheerio came to the Sacramento County Shelter underweight and with an embedded foxtail in her neck. It was removed surgically, but post-op they had trouble stopping the bleeding. She tested negative for any blood clotting disorder - perhaps the surgery nicked an artery? Eventually, the bleeding stopped, but it left her anemic. The shelter needed a rescue group that specializes in medical cases to continue addressing her veterinary needs. Over time in foster care, her anemia improved and she gained her weight back. She is a very friendly, sweet dog. She likes attention and affection from her foster parents and volunteers. She likes roughhousing with the younger, larger dogs in her foster home. She doesn’t like being confined or kept away from the activities of the home. Crate training would be pretty difficult - lots of barking. Apartment living may not be the best option for her. We have no experience with her as an only dog. We would recommend that she go to a home with other playful, friendly dogs. Please note that we don’t adopt any of our dogs out to homes with children under the age of 13. Story
Have you heard the phrase, a face only a mother could love? Well, let us introduce you to the inspiration for it. Meet Guppy! This little guy may not have won the genetics lottery, but what he lacks in looks he makes up for in charm. He could be a pug mix, he could not be. Perhaps bulldog? Only a DNA test will reveal the truth. Do we really know his age? Could he be 2 or 7, who is to say? He was born without his right eye, has a uniquely shaped head, a major underbite, and an endearing wobbly walk. He came to us from the California Central Valley with a few other pugs after his owner went into a nursing home without a care plan. Guppy is looking for a home where he can chew on toys, lounge the day away, and follow his person like a shadow. Hes crate-trained, and while hes still working on potty training, a consistent routine will help him get back on track after being shuffled around these last few weeks. He's good with confident cats and dogs of all sizes, but we suspect he would be happy as an only-dog, too. If youre searching for a quirky, one-of-a-kind companion, Guppy just might be the pug for you! He's being fostered in Rohnert Park through The Pug Hotel.

Story
Jack came to us as a stray from the Central Valley and quickly won everyone over with his incredibly sweet nature. He loves being petted, cuddling, and being held, and he is always ready to give kisses. Because his vision is limited, Jack truly values human touch as both guidance and comfort. The vet thinks he's around 3 years old; his teeth are in good shape! Jack has limited vision in one eye, and the other eye was either underdeveloped or closed due to an untreated injury before he came to us. We believe he can see shadows, but he relies heavily on sound to navigate his world. Despite this, he gets around very well and takes everything in stride. He is great with other dogs, friendly with strangers, and unsurprisingly unconcerned about cats. Jack loves his meals and treats, does wonderfully in the car, and is currently working on potty training. If you are looking for a happy, affectionate dog to curl up with and share your life, Jack is a perfect match. He would do well in almost any home and is an easy companion to take along with you. Homes with stairs will need to use baby gates to prevent any accidental tumbles.

Story
Daisy is a pocket-sized pug, about a year old, and bursting with personality and energy. True to form for a young black female pug, shes active, playful, and always on the go. She would thrive in a busy, fun-loving home, especially one with other young dogs who can keep up with her enthusiasm. With proper introductions, Daisy does well with other dogs and quickly decides theyre her new best friends. Shes much the same with people too. She may be a little unsure at first, but it doesnt take long before shes in your lap, ready to cuddle. Sudden or quick movements can make her a bit skittish, so a calm and patient approach helps her feel secure. Because of her high energy level, Daisy will need an active home that can include her in outings like park visits, beach days, hikes, and other adventures. She loves to play fetch, so toys are a must! She is very much still a puppy, full of playful antics, nibbling on fingers and ears, and highly food motivated. Shell benefit from continued training to learn household boundaries and curb begging, along with ongoing positive reinforcement. Shes doing well with potty training but will need patience and consistency as she settles into a new routine. Daisy is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. She is currently being fostered in the North Bay near Marin and is ready to find her perfect match.
