Story
When the shelter reached out and asked if we could help this injured senior boy, our answer was an immediate YES. Meet the invincible Nelson Toothpaste. At 10 years young, this handsome boy went through what most have not. BUT, despite everything he’s been through, he has been nothing but sweet, gentle, and grateful. It is suspected that he was attacked by another dog, leaving him with a large puncture wound along with several bumps and bruises. Thankfully, our veterinarian is optimistic and believes he will make a full recovery with proper care and time. What amazes us most is his spirit. Even while recovering from painful injuries, he has remained a perfect gentleman—kind, patient, and trusting with everyone he meets. Now it’s our turn to help him heal. If you would like to contribute toward his medical care and recovery, any donation, no matter the size, will make a difference. Your support helps us provide the veterinary treatment, medications, and comfort he needs as he begins his journey to a brighter future. Story
Big is a bundle of joy and happiness. He loves everyone and everything he meets. He is all puppy and wiggly happy go lucky. He loves children gets along with other dogs and ignores the 3 cats he shares his foster home with. He wants nothing more than to be your baby, he is happy to be held or to cuddle up with you on the couch. Bug was found a stray in Fresno by a Good Samaritan, he was taken to Fresno humane while he waited for someone to claim him, once his stray hold was up he came straight to ruff day! How could we say no to those bug eyes!❤️

Story
I got Rupert in 2012 at a pet store in central Texas. He has been a great dog over the past 14 years with no behavioral issues, and little to no health issues (only occasional ear infections, and dental work which have been done). He is great around other pets (lived with a cat for over two years), and people including strangers. In his golden years, he is less energetic but still shows signs of his former self especially if there are treats involved. He currently has no health issues. We are looking to re-home him after the addition of our second child because we can no longer give him the attention that he deserves. An ideal new home would probably be one with an older adult looking for a lower energy pug for companionship. A family with young kids may not be the most ideal setting as he may not be able to match their energy level.

Story
Hi, I’m Feather. I am a 5 month old pug schnauzer/poodle mix. I love playing with toys and doing zoomies. I am looking for a forever home with a family that will be home with me often because I really love the companionship of my humans. I’ve grown up with my littermates so I love other dogs. I’m not sure about cats. I am neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Please reply with a bit of information about yourself: your general location, current pets, work schedule, and a quick overview of your household. My humans want to ensure that I go to the best possible match for the both of us

Story
Feather or Gus. Take your pick! We are neutered, chipped & fully vaccinated. We are Pug Schnauzer mix. Mom is 100% Pug & dad is Schnauzer/mini Poodle. We are 5 months old & our days consist of playing & taking naps. We are doing awesome with potty-training. Being 50% pug means we will shed. Even if you think maybe we won't because of our Schnauzer genes, it's better to assume that we will, because pugs shed a lot, so we won't be good in a home w/someone w/allergies. We are very playful. We are not crate-trained, although we do sleep in a playpen w/each other. We’ve never been alone before, so we will probably need to get used to it, or maybe someone will adopt who has a pup friend already. Tell us about yourself. Your location, your current pets, your work schedule & any info about your household. Adopt one... or maybe both!

Story
Pug / Dachshund Mix Age: ≈ 4 years old Female, spayed 15 lbs Adoption Fee: $125 (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) Cheerio came to the Sacramento County Shelter underweight and with an embedded foxtail in her neck. It was removed surgically, but post-op they had trouble stopping the bleeding. She tested negative for any blood clotting disorder - perhaps the surgery nicked an artery? Eventually, the bleeding stopped, but it left her anemic. The shelter needed a rescue group that specializes in medical cases to continue addressing her veterinary needs. Over time in foster care, her anemia improved and she gained her weight back. She is a very friendly, sweet dog. She likes attention and affection from her foster parents and volunteers. She likes roughhousing with the younger, larger dogs in her foster home. She doesn’t like being confined or kept away from the activities of the home. Crate training would be pretty difficult - lots of barking. Apartment living may not be the best option for her. We have no experience with her as an only dog. We would recommend that she go to a home with other playful, friendly dogs. Please note that we don’t adopt any of our dogs out to homes with children under the age of 13. For more information about Cheerio, contact nobodysperfektdogs@gmail.com
