Story
Bobby is a 5-year-old, 15-pound pug with the sweetest face and the softest heart. He’s new to rescue and still settling in, but he’s already showing us what a gentle, loving little guy he is. When Bobby arrived, he was dealing with untreated skin allergies and ear infections. After receiving medical care, he’s feeling so much better and finally getting to enjoy life. These days he loves soaking up the sun, relaxing in cozy beds, and being close to his person. His signature move is snoozing belly up with his tongue out on a plush bed like he owns the place. Bobby is affectionate and thrives on companionship. He does have some separation anxiety, so he would do best in a home with another dog or with someone who works from home. Since he’s in a brand-new environment, he’s had a few potty-training hiccups, which is very normal, but he’s catching on quickly and is already learning to stand by the door when he needs to go out. He’s been doing great on walks and has been friendly when meeting other dogs and kids. Bobby is happiest lounging at home, snuggling, and feeling safe. If you’re looking for a loving little companion who just wants comfort, stability, and a person to adore, Bobby might be your perfect match.

Story
Jax and Juno are two little cuties that came to us when a rescuer we work with had someone contact her who needed to surrender these puppies. She asked if we could help with taking them into our foundation and we said yes! Jax and Juno are approx 7 month old siblings that are friendly, playful, and so loving! They are a pug mix, possibly a Chug or a Puggle. Ideally, we would love to see them get adopted together as they do so well with each other, but we would also separate them into homes that have another sweet and playful dog. Owners that are not gone long hours during the day and a home with a safe and secure yard would be ideal for these playful pups. These little angels deserve the best forever home out there and we won't stop till we find it! Jax and Juno are vaccinated, microchipped, and will be spayed/neutered at the appropriate age. We only adopt in So California as an in person meet/greet, home check, and trial period are required. Please contact us at: gina@theforgottendog.org or 310-990-2020

Story
Meet Lily: The Queen of Zoomies & Snuggles! Looking for a pup who will shower you with love, keep you laughing, and turn every day into an adventure? Lily is pure love, sunshine and unfiltered joy. Lily has never met a stranger—just future best friends she hasn’t licked yet. And she loves with the enthusiasm of someone who just found out belly rubs are free. She’s never met a person she didn’t adore, a dog she didn’t want to be best friends with, or a snack she didn’t think was rightfully hers. Personal space? That’s a concept Lily simply does not recognize. Whether she’s zooming through the yard like a tiny tornado or flopping dramatically into your lap for belly rubs, Lily is all about living life to the fullest. If you’re looking for a snuggle- loving, zoomie-powered, joy-spreading best friend who will make every day more entertaining, Lily is your girl. Come meet her-you won’t regret it (though your personal space might.)

Story
Meatball is a 2-year-old English Bulldog weighing about 30 lbs, and he is as sweet as they come. He was surrendered by his owner in Lompoc and is now ready for a fresh start with a family who will love him for the rest of his life. He is affectionate, gentle, playful, and incredibly snuggly. He is expressive, communicative, and full of personality without being over the top. Overall, he is a happy, mellow guy who enjoys lounging near his people just as much as he enjoys a little playtime. Meatball is good with most dogs when given proper introductions. He does well with people and truly loves kids. He naturally bonds with them and likes to stay close. He can be a little protective of the children in his home, so he will do best with a family that understands his loyal nature and continues to provide guidance. Meatball is fixed, vaccinated, and microchipped. His foster tells us he seems crate trained and potty trained as well. Meatball is looking for a place where he can feel secure, included, and loved. He is a steady, sweet companion who will happily be by your side every day. ----- Looking to Adopt? Submit a Rescue Questionnaire! Please be thorough in your answers.
