Winnie the Chug is lucky to be alive. Kind strangers alerted our friends at HOPE FOR PAWS about an injured animal in the rain at the golf course. She'd been surviving on the streets for too long, attacked by an animal, old leg injury left untreated healed strangely, in heat, malnourished, yet still so grateful for kindness. She's on the mend for sure. Holds no grudges about her past. Very affectionate, gentle and calm. About 2 years old.

Bobby is a 5-year-old, 15-pound pug with the sweetest face and the softest heart. He’s new to rescue and still settling in, but he’s already showing us what a gentle, loving little guy he is. When Bobby arrived, he was dealing with untreated skin allergies and ear infections. After receiving medical care, he’s feeling so much better and finally getting to enjoy life. These days he loves soaking up the sun, relaxing in cozy beds, and being close to his person. His signature move is snoozing belly up with his tongue out on a plush bed like he owns the place. Bobby is affectionate and thrives on companionship. He does have some separation anxiety, so he would do best in a home with another dog or with someone who works from home. Since he’s in a brand-new environment, he’s had a few potty-training hiccups, which is very normal, but he’s catching on quickly and is already learning to stand by the door when he needs to go out. He’s been doing great on walks and has been friendly when meeting other dogs and kids. Bobby is happiest lounging at home, snuggling, and feeling safe. Rosco has already been through more than most dogs ever should, but you’d never know it from the joy in his smile. This resilient little Boston Terrier survived the heartbreaking loss of not one, but two owners who passed away. An independent rescuer in Bakersfield took him in, but with too many dogs already in her care, she reached out to our team so Rosco could finally find the forever home he truly deserves. We’re really hoping the third time’s a charm for this special guy. When he first arrived, we got him a much needed dental. The vet removed 5 of his teeth, but he took it like a champ! Rosco is 6 years old and weighs 16 pounds. He’s incredibly sweet, friendly, and loves attention and pets. He has wonderful manners, is very patient, and greets people with the cutest smile. Rosco also adores lap time, snuggles, and burrowing under the covers. He’s a great walker too! He loves to explore, and is doing great pottying outside. Rosco is also easy going, gentle and does well with other dogs and kids. He would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time. Fixed, vaccinated, and microchipped, Rosco is ready for a final loving and stable home to call his own! More from his foster: Roscoe is a sweet, calm dog with so much love to give.
