Story
Meet Jax and Juno! These sweet siblings came to us when an owner that was overwhelmed with too many dogs needed to rehome them and was about to just give them away to anyone he could. Thankfully, we were able to work with another rescue and we took the two puppies that we named Jax and Juno and the other rescue took the rest. These adorable puppies are Chihuahua/Pug mixes (Chugs) that are about 8 months old and around 11/12lbs. Of course, we would love to see them adopted together as they absolutely love each other and would transition wonderfully into a new home having one another. We would also adopt them out separately into a home that has another sweet and playful dog. Owners that are not gone long hours during the day would be ideal. Jax and Juno are such wonderful puppies with so much love to give. We know that their forever home is out there! Jax and Juno are neutered/spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. We only adopt in So California as an in person meet/greet, home check, and trial period are required. Please contact us at gina@theforgottendog.org or 310-990-2020
We'll also keep you updated on Juno's adoption status with email updates.

Story
Bobby is a 5-year-old, 15-pound pug with the sweetest face and the softest heart. He’s new to rescue and still settling in, but he’s already showing us what a gentle, loving little guy he is. When Bobby arrived, he was dealing with untreated skin allergies and ear infections. After receiving medical care, he’s feeling so much better and finally getting to enjoy life. These days he loves soaking up the sun, relaxing in cozy beds, and being close to his person. His signature move is snoozing belly up with his tongue out on a plush bed like he owns the place. Bobby is affectionate and thrives on companionship. He does have some separation anxiety, so he would do best in a home with another dog or with someone who works from home. Since he’s in a brand-new environment, he’s had a few potty-training hiccups, which is very normal, but he’s catching on quickly and is already learning to stand by the door when he needs to go out. He’s been doing great on walks and has been friendly when meeting other dogs and kids. Bobby is happiest lounging at home, snuggling, and feeling safe. If you’re looking for a loving little companion who just wants comfort, stability, and a person to adore, Bobby might be your perfect match.

Story
Meet Pearl 🤍 Pearl is a 2 year old pug who truly feels like a once in a lifetime kind of dog. Rescued from Downey Shelter, we believe she was likely used for breeding and then discarded, but you would never know it from the way she shows up in the world. Pearl is pure love. She has the softest, gentlest spirit and an immediate warmth that makes everyone around her feel at ease. To put it simply, Pearl is the dream dog. She is incredibly easygoing and adaptable, just as happy curled up beside you on the couch as she is quietly relaxing on her own while you are out of the house. She settles beautifully when left alone, making her an ideal companion for both working households and those who are home more often. There is a calm, grounded presence to her that feels rare, especially in a younger dog. Pearl embodies everything people love about pugs. She is affectionate without being demanding, playful in the sweetest, most low key way, and endlessly friendly. She greets everyone with softness, adults, children, and even babies, and has a natural gentleness that makes her incredibly trustworthy in a family setting. She is notably quiet and not a barker, preferring connection and closeness over chaos. She is fully house trained and has seamlessly transitioned into her loving foster home, as if she has been waiting her whole life for this chapter. Whether she is curled up next to you or resting her little head in your lap, Pearl’s love is constant and uncomplicated. She asks for very little and gives absolutely everything in return. Pearl is the full package, easy, loving, gentle, and ready for her forever home. Whoever is lucky enough to adopt her will be gaining not just a dog, but a deeply devoted companion. She has so much life and love ahead of her, and she is more than ready to spend it with a family who will cherish her the way she deserves.

Dave is fabulous. He's an owner surrender. Super snuggly and affectionate. Would prefer to Netflix and chill than run a marathon. Very food motivated (see 3rd pic). Not a morning person. Gets along great with people and dogs. He's a 3 year old CCC (Constant Couch Companion)
