Story
COURTESY POSTING. PLEASE CALL CAROLE PEARSON AT 310-850-0477 FOR INFORMATION; Meet Gherkin and Dillan: A Perfect Pair of Playful Hearts Gherkin and Dillan are one-year-old pug mixes who didn’t come from the same home, but you’d never know it. Since meeting, they’ve formed a bond that’s both deep and delightful. They are the best kind of duo: Gherkin is the brains – clever, curious, and always thinking – while Dillan is the lovable goofball, full of charm and comedic timing. Together, they’re pure joy. These two are like toddlers in dog form. They’ll play and play until they can barely keep their eyes open, then snuggle up and snooze like babies. Their days are filled with chase games, silly antics, and the kind of companionship that warms your heart just watching them. Gherkin’s intelligence means he’s quick to figure things out (including how to get into places he maybe shouldn’t), while Dillan is all about fun and bringing a smile to your face. They’re crate trained and doing really well with housebreaking. A secure yard is a must. Both because they’re small and because their inquisitive natures mean they’re always exploring. While they may be part pug, they definitely have more of that classic Chihuahua zip and energy: bouncy, alert, and always ready to play. Each morning, they greet you with uncontainable joy, squealing and wiggling like it’s the best day of their lives just because you walked into the room. They adore their people, and they’ll absolutely adore their forever family. We would love to see Gherkin and Dillan adopted together – they really are a special team – but we’re open to separating them if they each go to a home with another playful, friendly dog who can help fill the space left by the other. Gherkin and Dillan are ready to fill your home with laughter, love, and the kind of companionship that only comes once in a lifetime. If your home could use a little more heart and a whole lot more fun, these two are waiting to meet you!

Story
Paso's journey hasn't been easy, but he's a resilient dog with a heart full of untapped potential. Found as a stray and brought to a shelter, Paso faced several challenges, including seizures and reactivity towards shelter staff.Recognizing Paso's need for specialized care, the shelter reached out to us. While he was initially reactive with us too, after being with us for nearly a year now and with plenty of time to decompress and adapt, Paso has become a staff favorite! While he still has some anxiety about meeting new people, given time and patience, he warms up beautifully.Paso's seizure disorder is managed with medication, though he experiences occasional break-through seizures which is normal for his condition. An MRI confirmed he has idiopathic epilepsy, so he will need lifelong medication. His future adopter should be prepared to maintain a close relationship with their vet.Paso's journey has left him with some emotional scars, including a bite history. He needs a patient and understanding person to help him heal and build trust. Due to his history of reactivity, Paso cannot be placed in a home with children.Paso is social and does well with other dogs, especially puppies. He loves showing them how to play and cuddle.Paso is very food motivated and eagerly anticipates mealtime, singing and jumping in excitement. He's also a treat sleuth, so keep an eye on your stash! While Paso's journey has been difficult, he is worth every ounce of effort. With your love, patience, and dedication, Paso can bloom into the loving, faithful companion he's meant to be. If you are that special person willing to give Paso the second chance he deserves, please inquire today!

Story
Willow is a true survivor. This two-year-old girl gave us a real scare... right before her scheduled BOAS surgery, she went into respiratory distress and had to be emergency intubated. Thanks to the incredible medical teams who acted fast, Willow pulled through and is now recovering in her loving foster home. She’s still healing, but her sweet and silly personality is already shining through. Willow loves being near her people, snuggling up for naps, and taking it easy while regaining strength. She’s gentle, expressive, and full of quiet affection, the kind of dog who makes you smile just by being in the room. Because of her breed and medical history, Willow will need a family that’s committed to ongoing care and monitoring, especially during hot weather or high activity. But she’s so worth it. 🩺 Recently had BOAS surgery and is healing well 💤 Loves soft beds, cozy routines, and short walks 🐶 Dog-friendly with slow intros; prefers calm companions 🏡 Ideal home: mellow, loving, and familiar with brachycephalic needs ❤️ Willow is the ultimate cuddlebug, looking for someone to keep her safe forever Willow’s story is far from over. Now she needs her forever person to write the next chapter!
