Story
Hi! In March 2025, we adopted this handsome guy- from Pasadena Humane. I knew what I was walking into when adopting a shelter dog- but I wasn’t expecting a pug to be too difficult- especially since they are known to be chill. This guy is a ball of energy, after a year of trying to see if he can get acclimated with us- he unfortunately still struggles heavily with anxiety, presuming from being abandoned. We feel like we’ve exhausted all our options. He needs someone who can keep up with his chaotic and destructive behavior, leash pulling, always attentive, active, has a large space for him to around in. It’s absolutely heartbreaking to say that I learned that our lifestyle unfortunately is not a good match for him (scared of fire sirens and other city noises, busy schedules) He is on Prozac and Trazodone as needed to help but unfortunately it is not doing anything for him. I would love for him to go to a home with an experienced owner with patience and extra time on their hands.

Story
We got Peggy Sue(Her original name), a year backish because her owners were old and could not take care of her anymore. We took her in so she wouldn’t be on the streets, and renamed her Bertha. She’s very energetic and loves attention, like she’ll jump up into your touch. She does have this habit of biting her blanket, I believe it’s from being weaned off from her mother too early or stress. I would like for her to have a loving home with a place where she can run free, and play with toys. She does get into trash at time if not cleaned up.

Story
Meet Lukas Male DOB: November 20, 2021 Weight: 22 lbs Breed: Pug Neutered (Fixed) Vaccinated Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Lukas is a happy, loving little guy with a sweet personality and a heart full of affection. He enjoys being around people and has the kind of warm, cheerful energy that makes him easy to fall in love with. He has matured into a wonderful companion who enjoys both playtime and relaxing with his humans. Lukas thrives on companionship and would love a home where he can be included in everyday life, whether that means going for walks, lounging nearby, or soaking up attention and affection. As a Pug, Lukas may show traits such as: A loving, people-oriented personality Playful but companion-focused energy Strong emotional attachment to his family A social and affectionate nature Pugs are known for being loyal companion dogs who thrive when they are close to their people and included as part of the family. Lukas would do best in a home that can provide: Companionship and interaction Moderate daily exercise Routine and consistency Indoor comfort and stability Because Pugs are a brachycephalic (short-nosed) breed, they can be more sensitive to heat and overexertion, especially in warmer climates. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue dogs come from very different backgrounds. Some may have previously lived in homes, while others may have come from the streets, overcrowded shelters, neglect situations, or environments where they had little structure or guidance. Because of this, most rescue dogs arrive with only basic training at best, and some may have had no formal training at all. Even dogs who appear well-behaved in foster care or at the rescue are still adjusting and learning. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, socialization, and basic guidance, adopters should be prepared to continue training and support after adoption. Lukas will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Structure and consistency Patience during adjustment periods Continued socialization and engagement Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, stability, and love, rescue dogs often blossom into deeply loyal lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes daily exercise, companionship, routine veterinary care, training, mental stimulation, and financial responsibility. Lukas will need: Daily interaction and companionship Continued guidance and structure Routine wellness exams and preventative veterinary care A safe, stable, indoor living environment Because of his breed, special attention should also be given to: Monitoring breathing and overheating Maintaining a healthy weight Skin fold and dental care Consistent veterinary care, proper nutrition, preventative care, and emotional stability are all essential to helping him live a healthy and happy life. Lukas is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside. She is naturally people-oriented and will grow into a deeply loyal companion who wants to be part of everything you do. Breed Info As a Pug / Black Mouth Cur mix, Rubi has a unique and wonderful blend of traits: The Pug’s loving, affectionate, and people-focused personality The Black Mouth Cur’s intelligence, confidence, and strong bond with family This combination creates a dog who is loyal, expressive, and connected, while also being active and eager to learn. She will benefit from both affection and structure as she grows. Ideal Home Rubi needs a home ready for all the stages of puppyhood—training, patience, and lots of love. She will thrive with a family who wants an interactive, affectionate companion. Owner Responsibilities Rubi will need consistent training, socialization, routine, and care. Please ensure your time, finances, and lifestyle allow for the care she will need as she grows. Veterinary Care Rubi is fully vetted for her age, but we always recommend bringing her to your own veterinarian after adoption to continue her care. Important Note Rubi is an indoor family dog. Story
With a name like Champion Blue, you might expect a superstar...and this little guy sure lives up to it! At 10 years old and 17 pounds, Champion Blue has already overcome a lot in life, having been abandoned at a shelter simply for being a senior with a few minor medical needs. Thankfully, the shelter reached out to us to take him in and now he's ready to find the forever home he’s been dreaming of.Don’t let his age fool you Champion Blue has a spark of mischief and energy that will make you smile every day. He takes daily gabapentin for arthritis and an anti-inflammatory to keep him comfortable, but that doesn’t stop him from zooming across the room for treats, toys, or just to join the action. He’s a little wobbly on his feet sometimes, but his heart is full of courage, curiosity, and pure joy.Champion Blue loves the simple pleasures in life: cuddles on the couch, gentle pets, and long, lazy lounging sessions where he can soak up all the attention. But don’t be surprised if the quiet is broken by a sudden burst of playful zoomies or a funny little hop - he’s silly, spunky, and completely charming. He gets along with other dogs, especially calm companions who understand his pace, and he’s ready to share his home with someone who will adore him and help him age gracefully. Champion Blue’s perfect match is a quiet household, filled with love, patience, and lots of lap time. He may be a senior, but his heart is young, and he’s ready to be your loyal, goofy, and utterly lovable sidekick. He may have had a rough start, but his next chapter will be the happiest yet! Could you be the hero to his story? Please inquire today!

Story
Don't worry, he's much happier than he looks. Roddy has a serious case of resting grump face, but on the inside, he's all glitter and cotton candy. He likes to be the center of attention with both people and other dogs, but his spatial awareness is a bit.... um.... bulldoggy, so watch your knees. Roddy's two favorite things are a snack and a soak. After a hard evening of sous cheffing your dinner spread, he likes to complete the full nighttime routine, and has been known to sneak into his foster mom's running shower for a bit of a wind down. When it comes to activities, he's down for a (not so brisk) neighborhood walk, a car ride down the PCH, or a "let's stay in and you can rub my belly" kind of night. Get yourself lost in Roddy's fabulous face folds. You won't ever want to be found!
