Story
Meet Freya, a sweet girl with a heart as big as her adorable build! She's a crowd favorite thanks to her gentle, affectionate nature and loves nothing more than snuggling with her people, taking leisurely walks, and soaking up the sunshine. Freya gets along wonderfully with other dogs, loves people of all ages, and is mostly house-trained. Like any true foodie, she's very food motivated (mealtime is her favorite time of day!), so she'll happily work for treats. She is still learning to love car rides, and not announcing everything she sees when looking out the window.—but she's quick to settle and has been an easy guest in her foster home. After a big life change, Freya quickly blossomed once she realized she was safe and loved in her foster home. Now she's ready to find a forever family to call her own. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion to share your couch, your walks, and your heart, Freya may be the perfect match 🌟Please ask our adoption team about Freya's medical needs.

Story
We think Meredith is a Puggle mixed with an adorable bully breed. Basically… the recipe for maximum cuteness and fun. ‍ This adorable tiny low riding gal has the thick little trunk, a snooshy wrinkly face, and the cutest stubby legs. She’s truly one of those dogs that makes everyone stop and say “oh my gosh she’s so cute.”   Meredith is crate trained and absolutely loves other dogs. She’s active, busy, and FULL of personality and charm, so she’s looking for a home that can match her fun, boisterous energy. She would thrive with people who enjoy an active pup and maybe even another dog to play with. If you’re looking for a ridiculously cute, happy, upbeat and playful little companion, Meredith might be your girl. @1-3 yo//only 25 lbs crate trained and housebroken good on leash & knows basic commands active and upbeat personality altered, vaccinated & microchipped  fostered in Massachusetts  please remember we are all volunteers &  incomplete applications will not be processed Apply to FOSTER or ADOPT today & get approved to bring a dog home. Story
Meet Bates, a little puppy with a big personality who will still be a very manageable size when full grown. If you’ve been waiting for a charming small- to medium-sized pup, Bates may be your guy.   Bates’ breed results showed that he is 42 percent Australian Cattle dog as well as small amounts of 19 other breeds. Pug was the second highest at 13 percent, and he had small percentages of many other small breeds including dachshund, chihuahua, beagle, rat terrier and cocker spaniel. Bates’ parents were both around 30 lbs, so we think he’ll be 30-something lbs when full grown. Bates and his brother Wilder are the sweetest and most fun little boys who are attached at the hip. If they’re not following their foster mom everywhere, then they’re following each other. They love jostling over toys, and then collecting them all in their bed so they can take a nap with them. They love to snuggle with their toys, each other and their humans. They’re very friendly and affectionate with humans and other dogs. Bates loves treats and is very smart. Born May 19th, he’s almost fully potty trained and sleeps quietly in his crate at night at less than three months old. He is always looking to his foster mom for directions on what’s next. He’s very eager to please! If you’re looking for a good-natured puppy who will grow up and still be a very manageable size, please apply for sweet little Bates. If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/forms PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Our rescue pets are fostered in Southern foster homes (unless otherwise stated) and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama and New England States. Our adoption fee includes transport fee, spay/neuter, current vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test for animals over 7 months old, all necessary vetting and an interstate health certificate. Once an application is received, our team is happy to answer all of your questions and send additional pictures and videos. Thank you for thinking rescue!
