Story
Meet Charlie — 36 pounds of snuggly chaos wrapped in a Beagle/Pug mystery blend, aged 3 years and fueled entirely by enthusiasm, feelings, and snacks. Charlie is a professional cuddler, elite blanket burrower, and part-time zoomie athlete. He operates on two settings:
1️⃣ Full-throttle play mode — bouncing, leaping, and occasionally expressing himself with a little mouthy enthusiasm
2️⃣ Marshmallow mode — melting into your lap, pressing his face into yours, and tunneling under the covers like a cozy little mole He adores his people. Like, nose-to-nose, please don’t stop petting me, ever level adoration. Affection is his love language, followed closely by treats (more on that in a second). ✨ Training glow-up alert:
Charlie is highly treat-motivated, and it’s paying off in a big way. With snacks on board, he’s been doing great walking near people and dogs and has been friendly when meeting strangers. Public outings have become much calmer when treats are involved. He’s currently working with trainers at Tayls in Trails in Watertown, MA, and showing real progress. Snacks = success. The fine print (aka, Charlie’s boundaries): ·       🐶 Other dogs? Hard no. ·       🐱 Cats? Also no. ·       👶 Kids? Not a match — we’re looking for an adult-only home. Charlie wants to be your one-and-only. He’s not here for a group project; he’s here for a solo starring role. He will make his opinions known around other animals, so a pet-free home is essential. The good news? ·       💩 House trained ✔️ ·       🛏️ Crate trained ✔️ ·       ❤️ Loyal, affectionate, hilarious ✔️ Charlie has a big personality and an even bigger heart. With structure, continued training, patience, and a steady supply of treats, he’s going to be someone’s absolute soulmate dog — the kind who sleeps under the covers, follows you everywhere, and loves you like it’s his full-time job. Adopt Charlie — because beneath the spice is a gooey, devoted marshmallow who just wants to snuggle his way into your life (and your bed). 🐾💛 If you are interested in finding out more about Charlie, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Charlie is being fostered in Boston, MA. The adoption fee is $500. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

Story
Meet Boggle!Boggle is the sweetest older man looking for his forever home! 💜This little creampuff is about eight years old and, yes, he's a pug. He weighs exactly twenty pounds and he's in VERY good shape for his age...and for a pug. He's a social little guy that prefers hanging out with you over pretty much anything else...except maybe food. Boggle LOVES food. Food is love, food is life. He's very food motivated and could probably be convinced to do many, many illegal things for a snack. Boggle has no issues meeting new people and making friends and will hop up all over your legs to say hello. He's content to just be wherever you are as long as he has a treat or a toy to keep him occupied. He's got plenty of energy for his age and does appreciate walks even if he's still confused about the concept of a leash and will sometimes pancake at thresholds because doorways are TERRIFYING obviously.Boggle does well with other dogs because he's a polite old man and can do no wrong...again, obviously. We haven't tested him with cats yet but we're pretty confident he'd be fine because he's just a little raisin full of sunshine. We'd even be comfortable placing him with kids 5+ because he's so easygoing. He will have some lifelong chronic dry eye issues and will need eye drops 2-3 times a day for life. Breed experience (or brachy breed experience) strongly preferred. To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Once complete, you can email it to us at fpas1@foreverpaws.com or fax it to us at 508-677-9175.

Story
Introducing Reed! This adorable pug mix has gotten to Rhode Island to meet his foster family! His foster Mom says he is so sweet and a great puppy! He sleeps through the night in his crate. Reed has mastered using puppy pads but outside he wonders about this white stuff called snow. He thinks it is fun to eat though! Reed went out with Foster Mom and Dad for coffee on a cold morning. He met big dogs, little dogs, and kids. He did great with everyone and will make a great addition to a lucky family! Reed has been growing into a healthy, vibrant pup, eager to start the next chapter of his life with a family who can provide him with love, care, and plenty of playtime. He is always ready to cuddle when picked up and, when showered with affection, he will happily snuggle in your arms and drift off into a peaceful slumber. The ideal home for Reed would be one with a family committed to the ongoing training and development of a puppy. He might be a small guy, but he has a big heart, and he is not afraid to use his puppy eyes to get his way! Reed is heartworm negative, 6 months old, and up to date on his vaccinations. Apply for him with a free application @ www.americanlabrescue.com. Reed is looking forward to learning about what it means to be a part of a family, and he is hoping that family is yours!
