Story
This tiny guy is Scooby. He is a little thin and has a tongue that never wants to stay in his mouth! He is 4-5 yrs, he likes other dogs, is housetrained and is working on learning to use a pet door. Scooby is so sweet and just the perfect size to snuggle on your lap. He is a bit thin and we are working on getting weight on his little frame. This guy was too sick to be in the shelter for his normal stray hold in hopes of finding his owners. He was released due to medical concerns and was skin and bones. He is a small guy, and so sweet. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
Hi, I’m Bailee, a sweet and easygoing 2-year-old girl (23 lbs) who loves to play and relax with my humans and furry friends. I get along great with kids, seniors, cats, and dogs, but I’m a bit wary of bigger dogs. I’m super playful and love to hang out with my Boston Terrier buddy—though I am learning to be gentle, I’m a strong girl! I’m housetrained and non-destructive, so I’d be perfectly fine left home alone and loose. I love cuddles and snuggling up next to my dog siblings or humans when it’s time to relax. When I’m not napping, I love to play with whatever toy Janis has! I’m great on walks and in the car, but I also enjoy watching people and hanging out in a yard. My ideal home would have space for me to run and play, and I’d be happy with or without a dog sibling. I’m just looking for a loving, fun home where I can be myself! My adoption fee is $825. Thank you for your support in our rescue efforts!  If you are interested in any of our Boston Terriers or would like to be eligible to adopt a Boston Terrier through our rescue in the future, please fill out an application. Story
Hey friends! My name is Bella and I am a 1 year, 6 month old girl Frenchie. I am a low-energy gal and I love to be next to my humans. I had a tough start to life, I only have one eye. I don’t let that stop me, I can still run and play with the other doggies. I like to be the boss, so a submissive doggy friend would be best for me. I am still a puppy, so I would love a family that can continue my training. I am trained with the doggy door, and am good with kids and seniors. I am a quiet girl and I am so very gentle. My ideal home would have a backyard for me to lounge and run around with a doggy friend. I also need a family that understands where I came from and wouldn’t mind a sweet hearted girl with one eye. My adoption fee is $825 Thank you for your continued support in our rescue efforts! Story
Bonjour friends, Kiwi here! I am a 2 year old, 23 pound Frenchie. My name is Kiwi, but my foster mummy calls me Stella cuz she say I gets my Groove Back…or I have a groovy back…sumfing like that! I’m a fun girl and likes to get jiggy with my 2 Boston besties. I wants to play with the kitties but my mummy say Stella is too big. Oh well! I also like kiddos very, very much, and I am good with seniors! I’m a good girl, I am house and crate trained. I would luv a fun family of my very own, and they would love to have me lay in their lap! I went to see the doctor in the car…that was so fun! I had a special day, and now I have all the stuff done to make me ready to go to my forever home! I have funny knees that go ‘pop pop’ sometimes. It doesn’t hurt me now, but when I gets older I might need some help. if I have special treats forever to help my leggies, and not go to any discos it would be good! I also have allergies sometimes so I may need a shot for that a few times a year. If you want to say hello to me I would luv that! I hope I can find a family that is looking for a super cuddly, gentle girl like me! I also wouldn’t mind a furry friend to play with! My adoption fee is $825. Story
Hi, I’m Capone, the sweetest, happiest boy you’ll ever meet! I love pets so much that I go into a total state of bliss—I’ll never want you to stop! I get along with all dogs and will happily play with anyone who’s up for it, but if they’re not, I’ll just share my toy instead. That’s just the kind of easygoing guy I am! I’m crate trained, leash trained, and super cuddly—a true velcro baby. Because of a back injury, I use wheels to get around, and I wear diapers, but don’t worry, I don’t mind at all! I just need a few diaper changes a day and some time without one to prevent rashes. My dream home has plenty of space for me to zoom around in my wheels and a family who will take me on walks and to the park. If you’re looking for a laid-back, loving pup, I’m your guy! My adoption fee is $675. Thank you for supporting our rescue efforts! Story
Hi friends, Weezer here! I am a super sweet Frenchie girl, and just 2 years old. I love playing with my foster siblings big and small. Even though I love other dogs, I like to eat alone. I like relaxing just as much as playing. I am the best snuggle girl ever! I love my humans so much and my favorite spot is on their lap. I am house and crate trained, but I am still pretty young and would love someone who could continue my training. My ideal home would be an active family with a doggy friend to play with. My foster mom says my name is Weezer because I weaseled my way right into her heart! Are you looking for a gentle, smart girl like me? Story
Tyler is a gentle soul; one of the emotionally softest dogs you will ever meet. He had a hard start somewhere, we think he was pushed around and probably had a hard-handed owner in his puppyhood. Finally he’s learned to expect good things from humans in his life, learning to love belly rubs and head scratches. He lives with lots of other dogs and gets along with or avoids them. He seems to think the dogs that want to rough house and play might hurt him so while he could live with other dogs he wouldn’t be a good playmate for another kiddo in his home.Initially Tyler was terribly afraid of a leash but will now leash walk with gentle coaching, he can not be pulled or forced which scares him still. He will now go through doorways and use a doggie door but will need time to adjust to both in a new environment. His foster mom usually just leaves a door wide open for him or takes him through with a leash. He’s come a long way but still has work to do in those areas. He doesn’t have much vision in his right eye which may be why he has trouble with steps/stairs and should be in a home where he doesn’t have to navigate those on a regular basis. He is also a bit hard of hearing so getting his attention through sight is imperative.Tyler has learned to come when his foster calls him and how to suck up when he wants her attention. He is a handsome, English Bulldog and is very typical of the breed other than learning his true worth.Tyler is fully vetted - current with his vaccines, neutered, on heartworm and flea/tick prevention; and he is microchipped.
