Story
Ginny  is super sweet and playful, especially with other dogs. She's a little skittish at first and takes a little while to warm up, but once she's comfortable with you, she is sweet, a champion snuggler, and an all-around great companion. Energy Level?  Medium House trained?  Yes Describe how they are on a leash. Does well on a leash. Likes to stop and smell all the smells. Describe how they are with other dogs?     Ginny plays nice with other dogs and has lived with other dogs; however, she would do well as your one and only.   She loves all the attention. Have they been around cats or other animals? How were they?  Ginny has been in home with a dog-savvy cat and did very well. Commands they know?  She comes when called.  What are their favorite things?  Playing with other dogs, chewing on toys and treats, and snuggling with her people. She also enjoys being outside and exploring our backyard. What do they need to work on?   Ginny  is still learning what's okay and not okay to chew. She'll need lots of toys that are safe for chewing and some patience and understanding while she figures it out.  How are they when left alone? How long have they been left alone?  She has been alone for up to 8 hours and has been okay. She may howl briefly as we leave but then quiets down. She is generally happy in her crate and has a good view of all her foster fur siblings. Where do they sleep?  In a small crate in our bedroom. She sleeps well through the night and enjoys a morning snuggle in our bed when there's time. What is their ideal home?   Ginny 's perfect home includes at least one other similarly-sized dog because doggy playtime is her favorite thing. She'll need a family who can give her some time and space to get comfortable, as she can be pretty skittish initially. She'll also need patience as she learns what's okay to chew and what's not. Once she's comfortable with you and all settled in, she is an excellent companion and will reward you with epic snuggles and much love. Ginny should be in an adult only home. Story
Road Runner isn't just a name-it's a lifestyle. This merle-coated Terrier is equal parts speed, smarts, and charm. With a coat that turns heads and a personality that melts hearts, he's impossible to ignore (and honestly, why would you want to?).True to his name, Road Runner has energy to spare and loves a good sprint around the yard or park. But don't be fooled-underneath that turbo-charged exterior is a total lovebug. People are his favorite, and he greets every new friend like they've known each other for years.Whether he's showing off his signature zoomies, striking a pose with those movie-star looks, or curling up for some well-earned couch time, Road Runner is always the life of the party-and the heart of the home.Road Runner will be at Del Cielo Brewery Sunday 7/13/2025 from 11am-2pm for a mobile event. Located at 701 Escobar St, Martinez, CA 94553. Primary Color: Blue Merle Weight: 16.8 Age: 5yrs 0mths 1wks

Story
Meet Parker: The Former 'Street Dog' Turned Snugglebug! For 12 + long years, Parker roamed the streets of Pittsburg, known only as 'the street dog.' No one stepped in to help&#194&#151until he was an old little guy. He survived on the kindness of one woman who fed him every day, and when she sadly passed away, Parker would sit outside her home for hours, waiting.Thankfully, one of our incredible volunteers stepped up to save him, and now, Parker is finally experiencing the love and comfort he always deserved. This sweet senior boy has learned to love the indoor life&#194&#151snuggling under the covers, lounging in the sun, and being pampered. He's an easygoing, happy couch potato who just wants a warm spot and a loving human to call his own.✅ Great with dogs & cats (he even hung out with the cats during fireworks!)✅ Loves to snuggle and play with toys, will be your best cuddle buddy✅ Mostly house-trained (may need a little patience in a new home and transitioning )✅ The perfect companion for someone looking for a low-maintenance, loving dogParker's story is one of resilience, love, and second chances. Could you be the one to give him the forever home he's waited 12 +years for? Every senior dog deserves to have their own family to love them through their senior years. We think he is likely 12-13 years old. Parker is about 15lbs and we believe he is a Rat Terrier Chi mix. We feel he would do great with gentle older kids as he warms up to everyone who gives him a little love and attention. Story
Looks like: Rat Terrier mix Female, 13 years old (estimated), 10 pounds This precious little lady has really blossomed since going to her foster home. Her foster reports that she has been an absolute pleasure to have around and is surprised everyday that she has not yet been adopted. Some of her favorite things include napping the day away, going for slow sniff walks where she can truly stop and smell the roses, and greeting new canine friends politely on leash. She sleeps like an angel in her open door crate or comfy dog bed. Lavender does great with other pups and is very fond of the dogs in her foster home. She has had a dental that has left her with 5 healthy teeth so she mostly eats soft or wet food. This sweet girl joined us from the Santa Cruz County Animal Services so we could address her medical needs.

Story
Looks like: Chihuahua mix Male, 16 years old (estimated), 10 pounds Meet the regal mister Russell! This sweet frosty faced boy is searching for a loving forever landing spot to spend his senior years. Russell loves his people! He enjoys a good walk around the block and loves to sink into a cozy bed for a nap afterwards. Looking for a pup to snuggle with while you watch TV? Russell is your guy! Russell does well around other dogs, but we don't know yet how he does around cats or kids. Russell joined us after being surrendered to Santa Cruz County Animal Services when his guardian fell ill and was not able to care for this sweet boy any longer.
