He likes to take his time warming up to new people but once you have his trust, he is a snuggle bug who will follow his people everywhere giving kisses and asking for pets. Omelette is playful and gentle with other dogs, even dogs much larger than him, and could use a doggy-sibling of any size to help him build his confidence. He enjoys taking easy and quiet, neighborhood walks. Cutie Omelette is potty trained, loves treats, and okay at home alone for a few hours in his foster house. He is estimated to be around 6 years old and weighs 12 pounds. Omelette is available for adoption by appointment so send in an inquiry to adoption@oaklandsanimals.org. Check him out on his foster's Insta @fosterpupsbayarea         View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by Adoptable Pups Bae Area (@fosterpupsbayarea)  March 27, 2024, 9:03 am

Story
Ginny  is super sweet and playful, especially with other dogs. She's a little skittish at first and takes a little while to warm up, but once she's comfortable with you, she is sweet, a champion snuggler, and an all-around great companion. Energy Level?  Medium House trained?  Yes Describe how they are on a leash. Does well on a leash. Likes to stop and smell all the smells. Describe how they are with other dogs?   Ginny  LOVES to play with all her foster fur siblings! She'll also snuggle up with them once they're all tuckered out. Have they been around cats or other animals? How were they?  Unknown Commands they know?  She comes when called.  What are their favorite things?  Playing with other dogs, chewing on toys and treats, and snuggling with her people. She also enjoys being outside and exploring our backyard. What do they need to work on?   Ginny  is still learning what's okay and not okay to chew. She'll need lots of toys that are safe for chewing and some patience and understanding while she figures it out.  How are they when left alone? How long have they been left alone?  She has been alone for up to 8 hours and has been okay. She may howl briefly as we leave but then quiets down. She is generally happy in her crate and has a good view of all her foster fur siblings. Where do they sleep?  In a small crate in our bedroom. She sleeps well through the night and enjoys a morning snuggle in our bed when there's time. What is their ideal home?   Ginny 's perfect home includes at least one other similarly-sized dog because doggy playtime is her favorite thing. She'll need a family who can give her some time and space to get comfortable, as she can be pretty skittish initially. She'll also need patience as she learns what's okay to chew and what's not. Once she's comfortable with you and all settled in, she is an excellent companion and will reward you with epic snuggles and much love. Ginny likes kids and has done well with her foster siblings (ages 3-8), but she may also need some patience in learning appropriate playtime behaviors with them. March 17, 2024, 2:11 am

Story
Trinity, the adorable 8 pound rat terrier is a survivor! She has survived being hit by a car and sustaining many fractures and a badly broken leg/ hip before ending up at the shelter and has needed some time and vet care to heal before we could spay her. She will need a special home as she is a little bit wobbly but she gets around incredibly well and our vet is very happy with how she's doing and finally cleared her for her spay which went well! Trinity is now officially ready to find a family of her own. Trinity likes other dogs and while she tries a little bit too much to play with the cats and mouth them even at times, she has been adjusting to them. We recommend she go to a home with older, gentle children 12 and up being that she has had such injuries we don't want to risk her getting hurt or snapping if they're too rough with her. Sometimes she will guard her little stuffed animal toys. They are her favorite thing in the world. She is actually quite obsessed with carrying them around everywhere.. it's adorable. Her injuries included a broken leg on one side and a torn ligament on the other as well as pelvic fractures and road rash on her head. She needed quite a while and a lot of crate rest and meds while she was healing but she is thriving, super playful, snuggly and happy as can be. We do notice that her depth perception seems to be a little bit off, but other than that and being a little bit wobbly, she doesn't seem to have any other issues. we aren't sure how old she is. The Shelter estimated she was 2yrs old, but our vet thinks more like 4 to 6 years old is likely. This little girl is hilarious. She has a big personality that will crack you up all the time and she will make a great companion. She is crate trained and doing well on potty training although she does need to go out often or she will have an accident. Trinity is being fostered in the East Bay area. We would really appreciate if everybody would share her and help us find her a wonderful home. If you think you may be the right fit for her, please do send us an application and tell us all about you we would love to find her a forever family of her very own! Our application is on our website www.K9ppr.orgMarch 27, 2024, 11:15 am
