Story
Selena is one of the most sweetest and friendliest dog you can ever meet. She is very mellow, quiet, and a bit shy. But she is also very affectionate, loyal, and well-behaved. She is not looking for adventures or excitement, but rather a quiet forever home where she can receive lots of attention, love, and affection. She is about 2 years old and weighs 30 pounds. Selena has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She walks well on the leash, enjoys car rides, and loves to cuddle. She's great with kids, cats, and other dogs, and she would be a wonderful addition to any loving family. She doesn't ask for much other than a chance to be in a safe environment where she feels loved and cared for.

Story
Bean is a wonderful 7 year-old, 17 lb terrier mix. Bean is a classic terrier, with a big personality in a little body! He is energetic and loves hiking, playing with toys, and is very smart. At the end of the day, Bean loves cuddling and making blanket forts. Bean is an intelligent guy. He knows all basic commands, and even knows how to dance on command. He is food motivated, crate trained, potty trained, and learns new things quickly. Even though Bean has plenty of energy, he is pretty low maintenance and does well around an hour of exercise per day. Bean also does well left alone at home. Bean does well with other dogs out and about, but wants to be the king of the castle in the home. He has been indifferent around cats. Bean would do best in a home without children under 12 years old.

Story
Luna is an active 9 year old Rat Terrier in good health. She was rescued from a shelter in May of this year & I was asked to take 2 dogs because they came in together but were NOT bonded---as the shelter had told me. Neither of them was dog or people socialized which I also did not know. Both have gone through extensive training & are not living together anymore. Luna loves to be outside & loves to chase a ball just run & explore but she could not do that at my house because my community does not allow fenced yards. She is currently living at a Board & Train in Salinas. Her trainer also runs a farm & Luna has been fine with the other animals She is very affectionate with women but is wary of men until she gets to know them. She is not good with cats or children. She loves to go for walks & hikes. She is a terrier & will react to small animals wanting to chase them if possible but she responds immediately to her name when corrected. Luna has done VERY well with her training & her trainer would be happy to speak with any potential adopter. She is very smart & knows several commands. Her previous home must have spoken Spanish because she understands commands in Spanish. She gets along with other dogs but would prefer to have her own 'person'. We are helping Luna's current guardian to rehome her. Please fill out our online application and we will forward to them. Adoption fee would be minimum $100 donation to Furry Friends Rescue. If you have specific questions please send them through and we will put you in touch with her current guardian.September 16, 2026, 1:36 am

Story
*Adoption fee sponsored by a generous volunteer! *Weight ~ 23 lbsMeet Poppy! Bright, spirited, and incredibly charming, Poppy is a smart girl with a playful personality and a quick mind. She loves fetch, is a great car companion, and has a blast learning games like “touch,” “find it,” catching treats, and weaving through cones. She’s also enjoyed hikes, park adventures, pup cup runs, and plenty of quality time with her favorite people.Poppy recently spent two weeks in a dog-savvy foster home, where they got to know her even better. Their report? She’s super smart, curious about everything, quite the snuggle bug, and a whole lot of fun. Once Poppy knows and trusts you, she forms strong bonds and loves being part of your world.Poppy does have some quirks that mean she won’t be the right fit for every household. She can be reactive to other dogs and busy activity, can be possessive of certain favorite things, and has some clear opinions about when she does—and doesn’t—want to be touched. She’s a good communicator, and life with Poppy gets much easier once you learn to listen to what she’s telling you.Poppy thrives with routine, positive reinforcement, mental enrichment, and people who appreciate a smart, sensitive dog. She’s looking for an experienced, adult-only home where she can be the only pet and enjoy a lifestyle that gives her plenty to do without overwhelming her.Poppy may not be everyone’s dog—but she could very well be someone’s perfect dog. If you think you might be her person, come meet her or give us a call. We’re open Tuesday–Sunday, 11am–5pm!

Story
With a very heavy heart, I’m looking to rehome my sweet girl, Cali. She was born in March 2025 and is such a loving, playful, and special dog. This is an incredibly difficult decision, and I truly wish circumstances were different. I’m asking for a small rehoming fee to help make sure she goes to a loving and responsible home that is committed to caring for her. My biggest priority is finding Cali a family who will love her, keep her safe, and give her the attention and care she deserves. ❤️ If you or someone you know may be the right fit for Cali, please message me privately with a little information about yourself and the home you can provide. Please be kind—this is a heartbreaking decision. 💔🐶

Story
What’s the best prescription for a happier life? Doctor Goodwin has the answer, and it comes with four paws, a wagging tail, and plenty of charm! This handsome 12-pound Rat Terrier is making his rounds, carefully inspecting every new sight and smell with adorable curiosity. His standout ears seem to have a personality all their own, always perked up for the next exciting discovery. While he enjoys exploring his surroundings, he’s just as happy making new canine friends and greeting people with a friendly attitude. Whether he’s investigating the backyard or checking in for a cuddle break, Doctor Goodwin has excellent bedside manner and a heart full of kindness. His diagnosis is simple: your home could use a daily dose of this lovable little doctor. Here's some notes from his foster : Doc loves to be nearby, often sharing my chair. He will go stand by the back door when he needs to go outside. He is curious with the cats but not aggressive, though he will sometimes play a chase game with the frisky one. He is very neutral with our dogs. He hasn’t engaged with toys here but gets silly if you throw a cover on and off over him. He is very food motivated.
