Cosette is about 2 years old and 13 pounds. Cosette earned the nickname “Cozy” because she truly embraces the art of slow mornings and long naps. She never pops out of bed without a full routine of big stretchies and sleepy squinty eyes. She sleeps deeply (with lots of adorable dreaming) and loves resting her chin on your leg.   Her personal motto might be 'sleep hard, play hard' because while she rarely uses her bark (I’ve only heard it during her dreams!), she becomes a happy little noise machine during playtime when her spicier side comes out. She absolutely loves squeaky toys — especially if she can manage to find the squeaker herself.   She is still working on her play manners and can become a little rough and overly nippy when she gets going, so she would do best in a home without young children. She responds well to calm, consistent correction and has already made progress. When very excited, stressed, or overwhelmed, she may want to hump you, but this behavior has *mostly* subsided with gentle verbal commands and as she’s gotten settled in.   Cosette loves other dogs and wants to greet every pup she sees. She would likely thrive in a home with a playful dog friend to help her burn off energy and continue building confidence.   Training-wise, she doesn’t seem to know basic cues like “sit” yet, but she’s attentive and eager to connect. She knows “no,” responds well to it, and has decent recall to kissy noises. She is fully house-trained and has had zero accidents in her foster home.   At her core, Cosette is a sweet, sensitive girl who wants to feel safe and connected. She’s looking for a loving home that will give her clear guidance, plenty of squeaky toys, lots of ear scratches, hopefully a pup friend to play with, and most importantly, a cozy spot right next to her person. Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The newest arrival at SFACC has what it takes to be an Olympian! Athletic, clever, and graceful, Alysa Liu is ready to go for gold and take the Bay Area by storm. Unlike her human counterpart, she is still working on her triple axel, but she mastered the `sit stay` in just two minutes, so we know there are medals in her future! Buddy lost his Mom and Dad last year and we were hoping we would be able to keep him. He is 9 yrs old and weighs 9 lbs. He is the sweetest , most loving dog you will ever find. My sister and I have realized, Buddy needs a home with a yard and maybe children that can keep up with his energy level. He is very obedient and loves everyone. He sings with sirens and loves attention, which is something he can never get enough of. He is just a wonderful dog.

Meet the adorable Frankie. He is a 9-month-old (DOB 04/08/25), 10-pound, Rat Terrier/Chihuahua/Spaniel mix with warm brown eyes (his mother Rosie is a Spaniel/Corgi mix) his father must have been a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua. He is slightly shy but once he’s used to you, he is loving and attentive. Frankie is friendly with other GENTLE dogs and would do well in a home with an existing dog. He prefers dogs his own size. He is a playful loving little guy. His pregnant mom Rosie was rescued by a local groomer. He was born in her home and she found homes for the rest of his litter but Rosie and Frankie came to AFC. FOSTERING SAVES LIVES! He uses a doggie door to go outside to potty but may need some additional house training. He is leash trained has been neutered. He is micro-chipped, currently vaccinated and ready for his new home. Frankie is a special little guy and will be a wonderful companion.
