You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Online Adoption Application Maybelline came with her baby. Baby was adopted.  She is a quirky dog,  typical Jack Russell type,  she gets along with other dogs but needs a few days to get to like the new dog as she feels she is queen bee.   She is very active, loves running around and playing with toys and other dogs, not really great with cats or small animals,  typical rat terrier jack russell.  Would do great with other Jacks or Rat Terriers or alone as well but needs time to adjust to new surrounding. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 19, 2024, 4:06 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.wagoninn.rescuegroups.org Toffee is an adorable girl who is looking for a home! Toffee is now in a foster home in NJ. Toffee was found very pregnant last November and taken in by our partner rescue, Atchafalaya River Rescue. She gave birth to 8 puppies the next day!  After she gave birth she was diagnosed with IMTP, an immune disorder which required treatment with steroids. She has recovered and her last 2 blood tests have been normal. Our vet isn't certain she really had IMTP last fall and recommends re-checking her blood in 6-12 months. Toffee is a happy, sweet and playful girl who loves to run around, especially with another dog! After playing she likes to crash on the couch, preferably on your lap. Toffee has never met a stranger! This super gentle girl is good with everyone... dogs, cats, kids and adults! She can be shy initially, but warms up quickly. Toffee is house trained, crate trained, does well on leash and also in the car. Toffee is fixed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. She completed treatment for heartworm. Her adoption fee is $450.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.   How to Adopt Me! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. wagoninn.rescuegroups.org Jack is a handsome senior who is in foster in NJ. Jack came to us from the East Orange Animal Shelter. Jack is a sweet, gentle boy who likes other dogs. He is affectionate and likes to cuddle. He also does well on the leash. He fit into his foster family pack with ease and was very grateful to be out of the shelter!  He is deaf but still has plenty of energy for an older gentleman.  He still seems to see very well and there are no signs of cataracts at this time.  He is a super sweet senior who will make someone a wonderful companion!  Jack is fixed and up to date on vaccines. We are working to get him microchipped and get a heartworm test. His adoption fee will be $300. Story
Bailey (born 6/20/2015) is an 8-year-old, 14 pound, housebroken, Rat Terrier mix. Because Bailey came from an abuse situation, he has trust issues. If you want to adopt him, you would need to visit with Bailey a few times to become friends and gain his trust. The deal here is that Bailey needs to know you before he can trust you. Once Bailey knows you, he is a very affectionate and loyal friend, but he will also be protective – so he needs to know that you will be the one to protect him. We really appreciate that you want to give a shelter animal a home. The Humane Society of New York was founded in 1904. The Vladimir Horowitz/Wanda Toscanini Horowitz Adoption Center is a no-kill shelter. Our on-site clinic and staff of skilled Veterinarians looks after the health and well-being of every animal here. We also have a great adoption matchmaking team who will gladly take your profile and match you or your pet with just the right cat or dog companion. We start the process once you have submitted an application to us. FOR AN APPLICATION, please visit http://humanesocietyny.org/adoptions/ and download then email your application to hsny.adopt@gmail.com. Our one and only location is: 306 East 59th Street (between 1st & 2nd Avenue) in Manhattan. If you'd like to sponsor Bailey, please email amk.hsny@verizon.net. You can give as much or as little as you like. Your donation is tax deductible. Thank you! For additional information on the Humane Society of New York, please visit: humanesocietyny.org. Thank you!

Story
Meet Imp! He is lovely girl rescued by our team from High-kill shelter in Korea. She gave birth to his babies in the shelter. Behaviours from the previous foster: She is so gentle that she doesn’t bark at all and doensn’t have any aggressive behaviours. She loves walking and meeting her friends and She loves her hooman so much. She likes to be pat - especially on her butt – and always sleeps besides her hooman. She is doing her job out doors- moving her bowels. She is not a big fan of showering but she seems to bear it- She is so patient. We haven’t found any separation anxieties so far, She seems to be beyond happy when the owners come back home though. She is a little bit timid that she is afraid of some scary noise like vacuum cleaner, plastic bottle and so on. She has so much love in her. Be her loving family and she will be with you and adores you forever. Allergy/health issues: She has motion sickness. So It will help her if you let her doing her job_moving her bowels_ and keep her stomach empty before gettinng a car. *Please send all inquiries to @everlove8282. *Please submit your applications through the application form on our Instagram profile! Our team will carefully consider each of your applications to find the perfect forever homes for our dogs. *As all of our dogs are currently in South Korea, there will be an adoption fee of 700USD + customs fee (if applicable) for each dog. —> all details are on the poster! Please check it carefully.
