Meet Abby, Angel, and Petey — three adorable Rat Terrier mix puppies looking for their forever homes! At just 4 months old and around 10 pounds each, these little ones are growing quickly but will likely stay on the smaller side of medium when full grown, probably close to their mom’s size of 25–30 pounds. Dad is unknown, but whatever he was, these pups got all the cute genes!Abby and Angel, the two girls, are a bit shy at first but incredibly sweet. They may take a little time to warm up, but once they do, they turn into total cuddle bugs who love being close to their people. With a patient and loving home, their personalities will continue to blossom.Petey is the socialite of the group! He’s your classic playful puppy — happy, curious, and always ready for fun. He brings the energy and keeps everyone entertained. All three puppies are doing great in foster care, getting along well with other dogs and enjoying time with their humans. Like most puppies their age, they are working on house training and crate training and learning what life in a home is all about. If you’re looking for a sweet puppy to grow up with your family, one of these little ones could be the perfect match.Apply to meet Abby, Angel, or Petey at bcaaofnj.org. Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! Story
Marla is a beautiful Rat Terrier mix with a soft yellow coat, weighing about 21 pounds and around 7 years old. She ended up in an overcrowded shelter as an owner surrender, and while the chaos and noise of the shelter can be overwhelming for many dogs, Marla never let it dampen her cheerful spirit. Now safe in a foster home, Marla is doing great and learning the routine of home life. She is working on house and crate training and settling in nicely as she gets used to being part of a family again. She is a happy, friendly girl who loves attention and is ready to enjoy the good life she truly deserves. Her foster family can’t understand how anyone could give up such a sweet and lovable dog, but we know her perfect family is out there waiting for her.Marla is ready to leave her past behind and start the next chapter of her life filled with love, comfort, and plenty of happy moments. If you’d like to give Marla the wonderful forever home she deserves, please apply at bcaaofnj.org. Story
Adopt Jack : The 25lb Tornado of Joy!   Meet Jack — 6 years young, 25 pounds of pure muscle, chaos, and cuddles. Nicknamed  Jackass  (lovingly, we promise), this little guy is a one-dog comedy show with a high-jump that would make Olympic athletes jealous. Seriously, we’re not saying he’s part kangaroo, but we’ve never seen them in the same room…   Jack lives for walks, stuffed toys, and launching himself into the air like he just heard the treat bag open. He’s got the energy of a triple-shot espresso and the personality of that one friend who always ends up on the table at parties.   Important PSA: Jack takes his toys  very  seriously. Like, “not for sharing” seriously. So he’s not the best match for homes with small children who might try to borrow his prized squeaky dinosaur (RIP Squeaky #4).   But if you’re looking for a hilarious, loyal, and slightly dramatic sidekick who turns every day into an adventure —  Jack  is your guy.   Adopt him. You’ll never need a TV again. Please email us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com to find out if jack is the right one for you! (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US!  We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster. We cannot adopt to homes where electric-shock fencing systems or training collars are used. For more information on the dangers of electric-shock collars, please visit banshockcollars.ca/studies.php and http://www.hollysden.com/say_no_to_shock.htm (scroll down and click on the  "Invisible Fencing Systems" link). We do not have an online adoption application; to request an application, e-mail us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com. To speed e-mail processing time, be sure to note the name of the dog you are inquiring about in the Subject line. For Meet & Greet times and locations, visit our home page, where you also will find information on our adoption process and fees. FOSTER FAMILIES ARE LIFESAVERS!! Can you open your heart and home for a few weeks to homeless shelter dog? Remember, by fostering a dog, you save TWO lives — that of your foster dog, and that of the dog who takes his place in the shelter! Come to a Meet & Greet and find out if fostering is for you — there's no reward quite like the feeling that you've saved a life ... or two!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 8, 2026, 8:16 pm
