Story
We got Rin when she was 1yr old from Ginger’s Pet Rescue. Over the years we have acquired 3 cats all of whom Rin respects with indifference. She is almost cat-like in behavior because you will find her always snuggling next to you in a tight little ball. Her favorite thing is to just follow you around to every room you are in and just chill next to you. She visits our dog-friendly office and gets along with a variety of other dogs. We have realized over the years that we live too active a social life to keep leaving our dog in a crate so frequently. She is house broken and can hold it for 8hrs with no issue. We only crate her because if we leave her uncrated in the house she has a chance to pee near the door due to separation anxiety. When people dogsit her and she is left uncrated when they leave she doesn’t pee, so isn’t an age or bladder issue.

Story
Dapper 12-year-old Jax is an active and smart boy who will be a wonderful companion for the right person! Jax is a 25 lb. rat terrier. He is in excellent physical condition after beating cancer (a mast cell tumor on his belly)! Jax loves sunning himself, walking, jogging, playing with stuffed animals, and playing fetch. He gets along well with small dogs and calm large dogs. He has been very nice to his foster siblings but can be protective of his space and might correct another dog who touches or steps on him with a yowl and small snap. He is protective of his body and needs to wear a muzzle to be physically handled. Jax would be good as a single dog or with a respectful, smaller dog. Jax should not live with cats or other small pets. He also has a bit of anxiety, which has been greatly reduced with a stable schedule and increased exercise, but if unchecked can spiral into bouts of barking. Jax barks at the door when he needs to go out and is perfectly house-trained. He can be trusted to be free indoors and doesn't get into the trash, counter-surf, or chew items. Jax may seem tough, but he has a soft, loving heart for someone willing to take the time to understand him. Story
Meet the sweet little bug, Beetle! This 10 lb., 8-year-old rat terrier mix is looking for a home full of soft blankets and someone to snuggle with. You’ll fall in love with his crooked little smile and the way he wiggles into your armpit for cuddles. He greets his people with playful bows and cheerful tippy-taps, and his bright, enthusiastic personality comes with just the right amount of sass. Beetle adores people and happily trots up to everyone for hugs. At home, he follows his foster mom from room to room like a loyal, happy shadow. Everyone who meets him is instantly charmed. Beetle came to us from a California shelter, and we suspect he was an owner surrender -- he’s far too people-oriented to have been a long-term stray. In his past life, his jaw was broken and repaired with a plate. When he was rescued, the plate had failed, and he needed extensive surgery to remove it, along with screws and 21 teeth. He has recovered beautifully and is now healthy, energetic, and proud of his endearing snaggletooth and lopsided grin. Beetle gets along well with other dogs and cats. He’s affectionate, confident, and easy-going, and he enjoys walks without needing a lot of exercise. He’s crate trained (though he’d prefer your bed) and reliably pees outside. He usually poops outside too, though he sometimes mistakes rugs for potty pads—a habit that improves with prompt trips outdoors after meals. He’s missing part of one side of his jaw, but his vet says he should do perfectly well. Still, we recommend avoiding rough play with small children or rambunctious dogs. He’ll likely need soft food and ongoing dental care for his remaining teeth. Beetle can be mildly reactive on leash because he wants to meet everyone, and he shows a bit of separation anxiety, though it’s limited to brief crying. He also has a small inguinal hernia the vet says is not causing him pain.  See more photos of this special guy at  https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/beetle . Pablo is a sweet, friendly, loving dog. He just wants to hang out with his people. Loves to cuddle. Because he’s in his teens now he doesn’t need long walks but does love to go outside. He misses his people when they’re gone and can bark when left alone. A real sweetheart.
