Story
Dapper 12-year-old Jax is an active and smart boy who will be a wonderful companion for the right person! Jax is a 25 lb. rat terrier. He is in excellent physical condition after beating cancer (a mast cell tumor on his belly)! Jax loves sunning himself, walking, jogging, playing with stuffed animals, and playing fetch. He gets along well with small dogs and calm large dogs. He has been very nice to his foster siblings but can be protective of his space and might correct another dog who touches or steps on him with a yowl and small snap. He is protective of his body and needs to wear a muzzle to be physically handled. Jax would be good as a single dog or with a respectful, smaller dog. Jax should not live with cats or other small pets. He also has a bit of anxiety, which has been greatly reduced with a stable schedule and increased exercise, but if unchecked can spiral into bouts of barking. Jax barks at the door when he needs to go out and is perfectly house-trained. He can be trusted to be free indoors and doesn't get into the trash, counter-surf, or chew items. Jax may seem tough, but he has a soft, loving heart for someone willing to take the time to understand him. Story
Georgie is a 7.5 lb., happy and bouncy, but shy, 1-year-old rat terrier mix.   When he arrived at his foster home in March from a shelter in CA, he was terrified. He could not be handled, and hid for quite a while. He has made great progress since then, coming out of his shell to show his silly side. He still avoids petting or handling when he's up and about, or by those approaching him from above. But he's  snuggly in bed, and he will sometimes allow pets and snuggles while resting on the couch. He loves to play with toys, adores other small dogs, and would love to be friends with his cat siblings. He's curious about new people, but does not want them to touch him at first. Georgie follows his foster mom from room to room. While he can be timid and avoid hands, he also has the joy, energy, and curiosity of a puppy. He will hide your shoes, steal your yarn, shred your papers, bother your plants, chase all of the toys, and generally bring wonderful, joyful chaos into your home. Georgie adores his foster sister. He follows her everywhere, wishing she would deign to play, but is extremely respectful of her rebukes. He would love to live in a home with another confident small dog, ideally one who will play with him. He's been scared/upset about large (>30 lb) dogs in his space. He desperately wants the cats in his home to play with him as well. His sort of attention may not be for every cat. Georgie has not been tested with children. Georgie does not yet understand about leash walking, and it's pretty challenging to get one on him. He is working on house-training. He is potty-pad trained to some extent. He will happily go pee and poop outside almost immediately if taken out every few hours, but does not ask to be taken out for that specifically. He will need an extremely securely fenced yard at his new home with no small gaps, as it would be very difficult to get him back should he escape and become frightened. For a small dog, Georgie is super quiet. He gives an adorable tiny squeak when he really really wants something, and he play growls from time to time. He has only ever barked when large dogs have entered his space, and only for a short time. He is a true gentleman indeed and would make a wonderful addition to your family.   See more photos of him here:  https://hosting.imageevent.com/newrattitude/georgie If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. Nixie is very sweet and mild. She's about 8 years-old, fully house-trained, and weighs 17 lbs. She loves all humans and is very sweet and easy to handle. She hasn't tried to play with the other pups in her foster home, enjoys being around and cuddling them. She's very passive and tries to avoid conflict with other dogs and is well-behaved and quiet. She has lived with a cats before and gets along with them. Though house-trained, Nixie may need a bit of coaxing to go outside for potty if it's raining or cold. If she's on a leash, she goes right outside and does her business no problem. She's in excellent health and has even recently had a dental cleaning!    Nixie is a very good girl who is both social and calm -- the perfect combo. If you are looking for a beautiful companion who is house-ready and has a great temperament, look no further. Story
Welcome Atticus to CCPAL Rescue. Atticus is a Rat Terrier from the local breeder in Texas. He is a traditional Black and Tan Rat Terrier. He was born on March 12, 2026. He will be getting his vaccinations, neutered, dewormed and ready for his forever home. He will be a small dog full grown. 15 to 18 pounds or less. Atticus was really good in his photo shoot and sat like a big dog getting photos. Atticus is one of the middle-sized boys. He is playful and very sweet. The breeder for this litter is closing shop due to an illness. We have agreed to help get her population down starting with the puppies. This breed is smart, loyal and the puppies are affectionate. Someone who knows this breed would be best. They are energetic so a moderately active family or more active would be best for the Rat Terrier. Atticus would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Rat Terriers are great family pets and watchdogs for their family. Their training is easier due to their intelligence and a light touch is needed. They are a wonderfully sensitive breed and from experience want to do what you are asking. Atticus is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. We have an entire litter of Rat Terriers. They are from a breeder. We don’t have papers but they are considered pure bred pups. His adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See his cute video

Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around the US and Canada, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase Quick Pay via Zelle, PayPal, or cash. Poor innocent, sweet & forgotten about Gapy, was ready to be euthanized in a death camp of a scary shelter in CA. He had zero public interest & zero rescue interest on social media. An email went out for help & this beautiful boy was on that list. Yes, it appears at the age of 3 he was going to die which is absolutely unacceptable. We rescued this beautiful boy & 2 other sweet baby dolls out of that same kill shelter from that very same kill list all at once. That day was 1 very sad & joyous day all at the same time. Gapy who is now looking for his very own forever home who will never give up on him again & love him just as his foster mum & we do. After we got Gapy all his care with his amazing foster mum he will be bought back to WA state from CA where he can’t wait to find his loving forever home. We truly believe that Gapy was originally someone’s dog & they just did not want him anymore from his mannerisms & his behavior of knowing certain things. All this boy wants is to be loved & have a home to call his own. Disturbing to think no one wanted him & he was ready to die. The level of absolute madness here is so deeply sad for many of these beautiful souls out of CA kill shelters. When we got him out of the shelter his nails were so extremely long & his nails were clipped by our vets but will need to be & regularly dremeled to get them to a good place. Gapy at times can have a big personality & knows what he wants. He isn’t the biggest cuddler but enjoys being patted & being loved. He is a independent little man. That being said, Gapy is a good eater, he loves to eat & he is making up for lost time & put on weight instantly in his foster home. Gapy’s new forever home must have a fully fenced secured backyard. He also enjoys sunning himself in the backyard & also sitting on the couch & looking out the window, he really enjoys taking in the sites. But he will also do his own thing. Gapy has been great with his baths because he started having them with us the moment he was rescued so he is used to them. Gapy rides beautifully in the car & enjoys a good journey & still needs continued work walking on his harness & leash. But has done amazing in his foster home. We are looking for a forever home for Gapy where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them & there must be another dog in the home for him to thrive. Gapy loves other dogs & needs another dog in the home to play with. This is mandatory for his new home. This boy enjoys going into a crate sometimes so that tells us that someone used to call him to go into a crate. In his foster home he sleeps in the bed with his foster mum or will sleep on the dog bed. Gapy is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him. Gappy eats a clean diet, meaning raw fruits, raw vegetables, 70 % raw proteins, grains, fats & supplements. He also enjoys collagen sticks & bully sticks. All of his treats are homemade Gapy has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & was fostered in CA with other dogs & does well with them & enjoys their company. It’s mandatory for him to be in a home with a playful dog. Gapy is roughly just over 8 years old, 21 lbs and is perhaps a rat terrier mix & male. He had a dental & polish & we got him neutered. Gapy is, microchipped, heart worm negative, up to date on his shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, rabies & dewormed. Once these shots expire we do not redo them as we do not over vaccinate our beloved dogs & will only redo rabies. We have spent far more on Gapy, with all of his medical care getting him well thank his adoption fee comes close to covering with, neuter, paying his shelter fee to get him out of the shelter, shots, flea meds, dewormer, boarding, dental scale & polish etc. Gapy has been around cats since being in the rescue & did well with the cat in his foster home but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together. Just because he got along fine with the cat in the foster home doesn’t mean he will get along with all cats. We have not had him around small children so we do not recommend small children & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children. We were not there when Gapy was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Gapy’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Gapy potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Gapy has been through many traumas in his short time on this earth so when applying this needs to be kept in mind & for his care. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Gapy & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Gapy who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this spirited little chap. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Gapy has an adoption fee of $750 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

Karlota: Collector of KissesKarlota believes there are many wonderful things in the world.Toys are wonderful.Running is wonderful.Playing with sisters is wonderful.Putting her paws in the water is wonderful. But if you ask Karlota to choose her favorite thing, the answer is easy.Kisses.Karlota is a cheerful little puppy who approaches life with curiosity, enthusiasm, and a deep appreciation for affection. She loves games, adventures, and discovering new things, but she is equally happy being carried around and receiving little kisses on her head, which she considers one of life's greatest treasures. Those interested in contributing to Karlota's kiss collection may find additional photos and videos here: https://hope4lapawz.org/wp1/karlota-2026042D.When Karlota meets someone new, she can be a little shy at first. She prefers to take a moment to decide whether everything is safe and friendly. Fortunately, her investigation process is much shorter than it sounds. Before long, her sweet and loving personality begins to shine. She loves other dogs, enjoys running and playing, and would be delighted to have canine siblings to share her adventures with. In her opinion, every good home should include toys, friendship, and regular opportunities for fun.Like her sisters, Karlota's story began under difficult circumstances. She was found searching for food with her family, hungry and struggling to survive. Thankfully, those days are behind her now.Today, Karlota is focused on much more important matters: collecting toys, making friends, earning kisses, and finding a family to love.A family with plenty of affection would be especially appreciated. After all, every great collection needs room to grow. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

Story
✅Currently located in South Korea✅️💟Available to fly to SEA💟The prices listed are based on USD, and the adoption fee will be calculated in CAD according to the exchange rate.Meet Kangmin❤️💙 Name: Kang Min 💙 Gender: Male 💙 Age: Estimated 5 years old (Born in December 2020) 💙 Weight: 6.1 kg / 13.45 lb 💙 Adogs News Account: @_adogs_ 1️⃣ Health Condition * Neutered. * Microchipped. * Has been diagnosed through cardiac screening with a rare heart condition involving a membrane structure in the vessel running from the right atrium to the lungs, which currently requires regular monitoring. * Due to his heart condition, walks and strenuous physical activities are restricted, and careful management is needed to prevent him from becoming overly excited. * Recent medical evaluations showed an increase in pulmonary nodules, prompting a CT scan, which revealed myocardial thickening. A follow-up examination is scheduled for July 2026. 2️⃣ Rescue Story * Kangmin was found abandoned and was initially rescued by emergency services (119) following a citizen report. Before being transferred to the regional shelter, he was temporarily cared for at the fire station. Upon learning of his situation, Adogs stepped in to rescue him, recognizing that he required a more stable and specialized care environment. 3️⃣ Basic Information * With People: Tends to bark, show wariness, and appear intimidated around strangers. However, once he grows familiar with someone, he will approach them first and allow handling. Although he may flinch slightly at first, he genuinely enjoys being petted. Has not interacted with young children yet, so his reaction remains unknown. * With Dogs: Generally indifferent to other canine companions. Rather than mingling or playing with other dogs, he feels much more comfortable being on his own. * With Cats: Displayed no significant interest when encountering a cat within the kennel area. * Separation Anxiety: Remains calm and settled when left alone, showing no notable signs of anxiety. * Potty Training: Primarily prefers outdoor elimination, though he occasionally potties inside his kennel. Exhibits indoor marking behavior, so guidance and house-training will be necessary. * Hygiene: Due to his underlying wariness, he may let out a vocal protest or display mild, defensive mouthiness when subjected to hygiene care. However, he tolerates brushing very well. * Walks: Leash walks are currently restricted at our center to avoid overexertion and excitement, which could strain his heart. * Car Sickness: Showed no signs of motion sickness during vehicle travel. * Displayed no malicious aggression. However, he may exhibit mild, defensive nipping/snapping during veterinary injections, nail trims, or when having his tear stains wiped. * Barks watchfully when a stranger enters his space or when he hears external noises. Otherwise, he remains completely quiet at our center. * Is very fond of treats. * Feels uncomfortable when hands approach his face directly or when someone attempts to pick him up. Sudden, unannounced touch startles him. While he initially feared veterinary visits, his anxiety has improved significantly over time. * Maintains a low-to-moderate energy level. While he prefers his own company over socializing with other dogs, he is by no means entirely timid. Is a praiseworthy boy who is bravely opening his heart to the world, one step at a time.
