Shortly after being born at the shelter, the puppies were separated from their mother and left tied to iron chains day after day. Unable to leave them in such harsh shelter conditions, Adogs stepped in to rescue the whole family. 3. Basic Information ❗As a young puppy, she may need training in areas such as separation anxiety, potty habits, mouthing, nipping, whining, disorderly behaviors, howling, and barking. ❗It is difficult to predict her adult size or shedding level because her father is unknown. ❗️ Puppies grow rapidly during their first 10 months, so her current appearance may slightly differ from earlier photos. * With People: Gazes at strangers with curious eyes, and she may approach first and ask to play. When a child approached her, she flinched slightly but stayed calm and accepted being petted. On regular walks, she constantly checks in with her handler and matches their pace. * Car Sickness: While she actually enjoys getting in the car, she has recently gotten pretty car sick. Her foster parent is slowly increasing the length of the car rides to help her get used to it. * Biting: She mouths a bit due to teething. * Barking: Has shown no unnecessary barking or whining so far. * Personality & Preferences: Is remarkably intelligent, quick-witted, calm, and tidy. Although scared of sudden noises or new things, she has a lot of curiosity, preferring to sit still and observe until she feels safe before bravely taking action. Learns routines rapidly and will show wonderful adaptability in a new environment if you give her sufficient time. Never throws tantrums for things she wants, waits patiently, and drinks water so cleanly without spilling a single drop.

Georgie is a 7.5 lb., 1-year-old rat terrier mix. He has a quirky, spunky, and sweet personality that has utterly charmed his foster mom. When he arrived at his foster home, he was terrified. He was scared of being handled by humans, and hid for quite a while. He's made great progress since then, coming out of his shell to show his silly, confident, affectionate, and stubborn sides. Now, he stomps up on new dogs, leans toward new people on walks, follows his foster mom from room to room, and explores everything. He's curious about new sights, smells, and sounds. He loves toys, walks, his foster sibling, and snuggling with foster mom at night. He is very high energy and still puppy-like in his play and his love for chewing new things. He is independent and would like handling to be at his request. His request comes generally only when the human is lying down. You can't just lean down and pet him. Though when it is his choice, he can be quite snuggly. He gives the sweetest, gentlest little kisses that can ramp up into wild puppy-shark play bites. He sleeps snuggled tightly against his foster mom every night and wakes her up with cuddles and kisses. When human hands come at him not at his request, he merrily dodges them and scampers away.  He's not scared now so much as too busy for your nonsense, like a toddler who doesn't want mom's hugs until bedtime. Georgie adores his foster sister, follows her everywhere, and does whatever she does. They enjoy a vigorous wrestling match each morning, which Georgie would repeat hourly if she let him. He will do best with another dog in his new home to help him learn the ways of living with humans, and to keep him entertained. Georgie is friendly with other small dogs. Some larger dogs coming into his home have been scary to him. He will hide and shake and possibly even growl from a safe spot when confronted by a big dog. He's comfortable with the cats in his foster home, and can be respectful if they demand it. He will chase if they don't shut him down so he's not every cat's cup of tea. Georgie is working on house-training. He is potty pad trained, but his aim is poor, and his definition of potty pad may include various other soft objects on the floor. He's been known to mark table legs and objects that he perceives as high value. That is improving some now that he's been neutered. He will happily go pee and poop outside almost immediately if taken out every few hours, but does not ask to be taken out for that specifically. His new family will need to work on this with him and understand the challenges in making progress. Georgie does not yet fully understand leashes. Once captured and harnessed against his will, he does eagerly walk on one with his foster sibling, but he pulls a good deal. He's shown some signs of leash reactivity toward strange dogs. Nixie is very sweet and mild. She's about 8 years-old, fully house-trained, and weighs 17 lbs. She loves all humans and is very sweet and easy to handle. She hasn't tried to play with the other pups in her foster home, enjoys being around and cuddling them. She's very passive and tries to avoid conflict with other dogs and is well-behaved and quiet. She has lived with a cats before and gets along with them. Though house-trained, Nixie may need a bit of coaxing to go outside for potty if it's raining or cold. If she's on a leash, she goes right outside and does her business no problem. She's in excellent health and has even recently had a dental cleaning!    Nixie is a very good girl who is both social and calm -- the perfect combo. Welcome Blanca to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 2 year old Rat Terrier mix. She came in from a hoarding situation. We received 3 dogs from this case. One was adopted already and one had to go to a specialized trainer in another Rescue. Blanca has started opening up and allowing people to pet her and hold her. She never got any attention in her original home, the hoarder. She is good with other dogs and causes no issues. She is kennel trained and her response to being afraid is to run and hide. She is a timid girl and not the social butterfly. She would be perfect with a person that is more introverted and wants a pet that is also similar. Blanca would be satisfied being at home with you all the time. A small walk in the yard would be fine. She until now, has not walked on leash. She is learning to do it at our Rescue. She would like a patient owner and a quieter home. An older couple or older single person would be great. Someone with a quieter home. She would be fine kenneled away if you had a party or people over. She is not very vocal and prefers to blend into the woodwork. She is really a great dog for the right family. She is getting her vaccinations, nail trims and will be spayed soon and ready for her forever home. She could be adopted locally in Texas or we could work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Poor innocent, sweet & forgotten about Gapy, was ready to be euthanized in a death camp of a scary shelter in CA. He had zero public interest & zero rescue interest on social media. An email went out for help & this beautiful boy was on that list. Yes, it appears at the age of 3 he was going to die which is absolutely unacceptable. We rescued this beautiful boy & 2 other sweet baby dolls out of that same kill shelter from that very same kill list all at once. That day was 1 very sad & joyous day all at the same time. Gapy who is now looking for his very own forever home who will never give up on him again & love him just as his foster mum & we do. After we got Gapy all his care with his amazing foster mum he will be bought back to WA state from CA where he can’t wait to find his loving forever home. We truly believe that Gapy was originally someone’s dog & they just did not want him anymore from his mannerisms & his behavior of knowing certain things. All this boy wants is to be loved & have a home to call his own. Disturbing to think no one wanted him & he was ready to die. The level of absolute madness here is so deeply sad for many of these beautiful souls out of CA kill shelters. When we got him out of the shelter his nails were so extremely long & his nails were clipped by our vets but will need to be & regularly dremeled to get them to a good place. Gapy at times can have a big personality & knows what he wants. He isn’t the biggest cuddler but enjoys being patted & being loved. He is a independent little man. That being said, Gapy is a good eater, he loves to eat & he is making up for lost time & put on weight instantly in his foster home. Gapy’s new forever home must have a fully fenced secured backyard. He also enjoys sunning himself in the backyard & also sitting on the couch & looking out the window, he really enjoys taking in the sites. But he will also do his own thing. Gapy has been great with his baths because he started having them with us the moment he was rescued so he is used to them. Gapy rides beautifully in the car & enjoys a good journey & still needs continued work walking on his harness & leash. But has done amazing in his foster home. We are looking for a forever home for Gapy where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them & there must be another dog in the home for him to thrive. Gapy loves other dogs & needs another dog in the home to play with. This is mandatory for his new home. This boy enjoys going into a crate sometimes so that tells us that someone used to call him to go into a crate. In his foster home he sleeps in the bed with his foster mum or will sleep on the dog bed. Gapy is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him. Gappy eats a clean diet, meaning raw fruits, raw vegetables, 70 % raw proteins, grains, fats & supplements. He also enjoys collagen sticks & bully sticks. All of his treats are homemade Gapy has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & was fostered in CA with other dogs & does well with them & enjoys their company. It’s mandatory for him to be in a home with a playful dog. Gapy is roughly just over 8 years old, 21 lbs and is perhaps a rat terrier mix & male. He had a dental & polish & we got him neutered. Gapy is, microchipped, heart worm negative, up to date on his shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, rabies & dewormed. Once these shots expire we do not redo them as we do not over vaccinate our beloved dogs & will only redo rabies. We have spent far more on Gapy, with all of his medical care getting him well thank his adoption fee comes close to covering with, neuter, paying his shelter fee to get him out of the shelter, shots, flea meds, dewormer, boarding, dental scale & polish etc. Gapy has been around cats since being in the rescue & did well with the cat in his foster home but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together. Just because he got along fine with the cat in the foster home doesn’t mean he will get along with all cats. We have not had him around small children so we do not recommend small children & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children. We were not there when Gapy was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Gapy’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Gapy potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Animal Information: Peanut is a 4-month-old terrier mix who came into rescue locally after his owner experienced challenges with their mental health and a care provider stepped in to help. Peanut was purchased when he was only a couple of weeks old, much too young to be separated from his mother. He was sent home with a finger glove of mother’s milk and became a bottle baby. Because he was raised as a singleton puppy without the opportunity to learn from his mother or other puppies, Peanut is still learning important social skills with other dogs. When introduced to other dogs, including puppies, Peanut was a little fearful at first but showed that he is resilient and willing to learn. He is now headed into foster care with an experienced foster and a balanced pack of dogs who can help teach him all about being a confident, well socialized puppy. Peanut loves to play, is eager to engage with his people, and is already started on his crate and potty training journey. Needs about a week to adjust and build trust with a new human. After opening his heart, he becomes very affectionate and comfortable with touch. * With Dogs: Coexists peacefully with other dog friends. Once bonded with her foster parent, she transforms into a total Velcro dog who follows closely to watch even during workouts. She loves sleeping right at her handler's feet, greets mornings with happy smiles and tail wags for pets, and zooms around with joy when her handler wakes up! * Interaction with Dogs: She loves dog friends and possesses great social skills. She shows gentle curiosity toward new dogs, either approaching first or waiting patiently. She offers playful bow signals to resident foster dogs and approaches smaller dogs with extra care and gentleness. With her sweet nature, she is a sweetheart who even yields treats or toys to her dog friends. * Interaction with Cats: While she previously showed mild fear when encountering cats on walks, she now passes them calmly. * Separation Anxiety: She shows zero separation anxiety. However, during an outdoor picnic, she barked at an unfamiliar adult male who repeatedly approached her mat area, showing more vocal reactivity outdoors than usual. Her barking habits in unfamiliar outdoor locations will need further observation. * Personality & Tendencies: She is cautious yet full of curiosity and love for humans. With her gentle nature, she is wary of unfamiliar environments or handling at first, but opens her heart quickly once accustomed. Once trust is established, she rubs her face against your hands to show deep affection. As a young pup who just turned one, she will grow into an even brighter, highly sociable companion as she gains diverse new life experiences!

Despite his immense pain, he was full of affection on the day of his rescue, approaching volunteers to ask for pets. Touched by his sweet nature, Adogs immediately stepped in to save Roha. ​3️⃣ Basic Information * With People: Has no shyness around women; confidently approaches them, turns his back toward them, and asks for pets. Once bonding with someone, he welcomes them enthusiastically, wagging his tail so hard it looks like a butt-wiggle dance, and accepts all the physical affection. Although this is improving, he may growl in warning if a stranger approaches with their hand stretched out. When a young girl approached him, he showed zero wariness and sweetly asked for pets. * ​With Dogs: Out for a walk, he ignores other dogs passing by, but will growl or bark if they get too close. At the playground, if a dog approaches slowly, he approaches calmly and lets them sniff. However, if they're overly energetic, he tends to growl and stay away. * ​With Cats: Inside the playground yard, he barked and tried to chase cats when he spotted them. However, didn't pay much attention to them during walks. * ​Separation Anxiety: Seems to get anxious when left alone. Isn’t whining as much as before, but waits at the front door until his foster parent returns home so he needs training for separation anxiety. * ​Potty Training: Potties outdoors. * ​Hygiene: Enjoys being brushed. * ​Walks: Behaves gently and stays calm while getting his leash on. At the start of a walk, he might spin in circles out of pure excitement, but settles down quickly. Tends to walk a little ahead but does not pull on the leash.
