Story
Handsome 7-year-old Jax is an active boy, who loves all kinds of physical play and activity (jogging, playing ball, running with stuffed toys, and taking long walks). The 25-lb. rat terrier needs a lot of stimulation and exercise to quell his anxiety, which often takes the form of repetitive barking if his activity needs for the day are not met.  Jax can be a little reluctant to meet new humans and doesn't like to be touched by them. Once someone has earned his trust, he is very sweet and likes pets and spending time in their presence. However, he doesn't like to cuddle or to be picked up at all and will bite if picked up or touched in a way that is painful or threatening. He likes to sleep close to humans and other dogs but does best in his own bed. In his foster home, Jax has adjusted quickly and follows the lead of his canine foster siblings. He doesn't directly interact with any of them but proceeds throughout the day based on what they are doing. He has shown protective behavior of his food and sleeping area and will get in minor scuffles to protect his resources. He would be good in a home with another dog who is detached and independent or will at least mind his space. He would also be good as a single dog but may take longer to settle in. He hasn't been around cats but would probably be incompatible with them (or any small animals) as he has a moderate prey drive. Jax is fully house-trained and has never had an accident in the house. Plus, he's super healthy except for an allergy to chicken that manifests in ear infections and body rashes. On walks, Jax does pull on his leash a bit and loves to stop and sniff, but on jogs, he stays to the right and keeps pace well. He rides nicely in a car but doesn't like to be in a crate at all (even in the house). Indoors, he doesn't participate in naughty behavior like raiding the trash, counter surfing, or chewing on people's possessions. He's neither a digger nor an escape artist; he IS a neatnik, who keeps his toys in one place. (Now THAT's worth points!) You can see more photos of Jax at https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/jax . Our adoption fee is $200 for adult dogs or $250 for puppies under 6 months old. If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. Story
Hello, I'm Dolly!Let me introduce myself - I'm a young, trusting puppy with a heart full of potential and boundless enthusiasm! While I may appear a tad nervous around new faces, I'm learning to build my confidence day by day, and it's such an exciting journey!I'm the kind of pup who would thrive in the company of adults who lead a slower-paced life and appreciate stability. Predictability and a calm environment are right up my alley, and that would make me sooo happy!Recently, I've been embracing my playful side more and more, and it's a delightful transformation to witness as I become more comfortable! Woohoo! One of my absolute favorite activities is going for walks; they fill me with joy, and I can't wait to share those moments with you! 🐾 However, when we're just hanging around at home, I'd prefer to be inside where there are fewer scary noises and sudden movements. Safety first, right?!I must say, when I'm feeling scared, I become incredibly cute and cuddly! It's my way of seeking comfort and reassurance, and it's pretty irresistible! 🐶💕I have a deep affection for dogs; their company warms my heart, and I can see us being the best of friends! 🐕 On the flip side, I can't resist the urge to chase cats, so households with feline friends should take note – it's just in my nature! 🐱Here's a little secret: I'm highly motivated by food, and mealtime is an absolute delight! This trait can be a valuable asset when it comes to training and bonding! Let's share some treats and have a blast together! On the practical side, I'm already crate trained, and I'm well on my way to being completely potty trained – yay! That's one less thing for my future family to worry about, and it's fantastic news!If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion who's making strides in overcoming her shyness, then I'm the one for you! Simply complete the application, and we can arrange to meet, perhaps over Zoom, and start our joyful journey together! Can't wait to meet you!Warmly,Dolly To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. There you will see any videos, more photos and details.

Story
Hi, I am Morita, As you can see, I am just a puppy, who is a little shy for strangers but once I know you, you will see my confidence shine through. I was rescued with my 3 siblings, and I love to play with them all day long. Like a toddler, I am learning a lot about how to be a good dog. But I will need a lot more training before then. Some of that training will need to be how to walk on a leash, potty outside, and basic commands.A good home for me would be one that has another dog that I can learn from and be best friends with. A home where my people can spend time teaching me things I need to know and where we could go for long walks. I am good with kids and cats so if you have them we would get along. If you are looking for a puppy to love, then I am ready! Just fill in the application and we can meet over Zoom.Lots of love and sloppy kisses to give,Morita To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. Hi my name is Mostaza, That means mustard in Spanish. I am not sure why my foster mom gave me that name but maybe because I am a little bit spicy and a little bit sweet.I have had my share of health problems since I was rescued but I recovered nicely and now I am ready to meet my forever family. I am a curious and fairly active puppy. Since my surgery to remove the head of my femur I have been taking things slowly to be sure I am fully healed. Now I am sooo looking forward to a great run. If you are looking for an active, sweet, and loving gal in your life then I could be just the one for you. Story
Sweet Bella Bella is very kind and loving. She needs her people and likes to be with them. She likes other dogs, as long as they aren't too wild, as she does not like the "party animal" type of crowd. She would make a great pet for a family who is low key and likes taking simple walks and play. Bella will be fully vetted and microchipped prior to adoption. She is available to you with ground transportation, which will be included in her adoption fee.

However, there are times where he barks at dogs who are too aggressive or dogs who bark at them. ▶ Relationship with cats: Hasn’t been in same space with cats, but barks at cats passing by the fence. ▶ Relationship between people: Loves human and being alongside for long period. Loves meeting people when going for walks. Mary sticks her head towards people, as if wanting to be seen. Loves human more than other dogs. If other dogs run towards her owner or seems to bother them, she would bark at them to stop. ▶ Leash training: She is family and doesn’t have aversion towards harness; she enjoys them since she know it means going for a walk. Special note: As a side effect from measle, has tic symptoms, weak front legs and inablity to produce tears. Due to weak front legs, may have some amount of shaking but has no problem at all to go for a walk. Slippery floors may casue her to slip some times but other than that, there are no problems. Mary's left eye has a bit of murky makrs which are improving over time. She has been puting artifical tears to help it. Mary used to have a paralysis on left part of her, but she was desperate to heal, that she overcame it. Her strong will is making her healthier daily.

Story
Meet ChoRong🩷 She was brought to Korean city shelter after a 119 emergency report. She had a collar on her neck, so it seemed that she had her family somewhere but no one came looking for her. She had broken toes and tail most likely from being hit by a car, and her eyes did not look well. With so many health issues, she was promptly rescued to start treatment. After a checkup, we discovered Chorong had lost sight in both eyes from advanced cataracts. She is currently recovering from her surgery on her toes and tail. * She loves people so much! She reacts to sounds and scents and wags towards people. * She loves playing with toys. 🧸 * She gets along very well with other dog friends at the center! * She is blind, but she doesn’t have much difficulty doing normal indoor activities!

Story
Meet Young Sim🩷 She was attacked by another dog at a shelter and severely injured her right rear leg and her tail. Her injury was severe resulting in amputation.😢 After surgery, she ended up on the euthanasia list, and we Adogs stepped in to rescue her. After going through heartworm treatment and possibly due to stress, she gained a lot of weight. She’s on a diet and losing weight gradually!!💪🏻 Please reach out to our Young Sim who is bright and full of love despite missing one leg. * Despite missing a leg, she walks very well with her three legs! * She loves people. 💕 * She gets along well with other dogs in the center! 😊 * After surgery, she developed a habit of occasional barking or biting the amputated area. 😭 We don’t know if this is from stress or trauma. However, her behavior has been improving gradually. 💙 Health issues : She recently gained a lot of weight and the extra weight puts stress on her remaining legs and affects her health, so diet is absolutely necessary. 🙏🏻
