Story
Dapper 12-year-old Jax is an active and smart boy who will be a wonderful companion for the right person! Jax is a 25 lb. rat terrier. He is in excellent physical condition after beating cancer (a mast cell tumor on his belly)! Jax loves sunning himself, walking, jogging, playing with stuffed animals, and playing fetch. He gets along well with small dogs and calm large dogs. He has been very nice to his foster siblings but can be protective of his space and might correct another dog who touches or steps on him with a yowl and small snap. He is protective of his body and needs to wear a muzzle to be physically handled. Jax would be good as a single dog or with a respectful, smaller dog. Jax should not live with cats or other small pets. He also has a bit of anxiety, which has been greatly reduced with a stable schedule and increased exercise, but if unchecked can spiral into bouts of barking. Jax barks at the door when he needs to go out and is perfectly house-trained. He can be trusted to be free indoors and doesn't get into the trash, counter-surf, or chew items. Jax may seem tough, but he has a soft, loving heart for someone willing to take the time to understand him. Story
Georgie is a 7.5 lb., happy and bouncy, but shy, 1-year-old rat terrier mix.   When he arrived at his foster home in March from a shelter in CA, he was terrified. He could not be handled, and hid for quite a while. He has made great progress since then, coming out of his shell to show his silly side. He still avoids petting or handling when he's up and about, or by those approaching him from above. But he's  snuggly in bed, and he will sometimes allow pets and snuggles while resting on the couch. He loves to play with toys, adores other small dogs, and would love to be friends with his cat siblings. He's curious about new people, but does not want them to touch him at first. Georgie follows his foster mom from room to room. While he can be timid and avoid hands, he also has the joy, energy, and curiosity of a puppy. He will hide your shoes, steal your yarn, shred your papers, bother your plants, chase all of the toys, and generally bring wonderful, joyful chaos into your home. Georgie adores his foster sister. He follows her everywhere, wishing she would deign to play, but is extremely respectful of her rebukes. He would love to live in a home with another confident small dog, ideally one who will play with him. He's been scared/upset about large (>30 lb) dogs in his space. He desperately wants the cats in his home to play with him as well. His sort of attention may not be for every cat. Georgie has not been tested with children. Georgie does not yet understand about leash walking, and it's pretty challenging to get one on him. He is working on house-training. He is potty-pad trained to some extent. He will happily go pee and poop outside almost immediately if taken out every few hours, but does not ask to be taken out for that specifically. He will need an extremely securely fenced yard at his new home with no small gaps, as it would be very difficult to get him back should he escape and become frightened. For a small dog, Georgie is super quiet. He gives an adorable tiny squeak when he really really wants something, and he play growls from time to time. He has only ever barked when large dogs have entered his space, and only for a short time. He is a true gentleman indeed and would make a wonderful addition to your family.   See more photos of him here:  https://hosting.imageevent.com/newrattitude/georgie If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. Story
Nixie is very sweet and mild. She's about 8 years-old, fully house-trained, and weighs 17 lbs. She loves all humans and is very sweet and easy to handle. She hasn't tried to play with the other pups in her foster home, enjoys being around and cuddling them. She's very passive and tries to avoid conflict with other dogs and is well-behaved and quiet. She has lived with a cats before and gets along with them. Though house-trained, Nixie may need a bit of coaxing to go outside for potty if it's raining or cold. If she's on a leash, she goes right outside and does her business no problem. She's in excellent health and has even recently had a dental cleaning!    Nixie is a very good girl who is both social and calm -- the perfect combo. If you are looking for a beautiful companion who is house-ready and has a great temperament, look no further. Story
Welcome Tova to CCPAL Rescue. Tova is a Rat Terrier from the local breeder in Texas. She is a rare blue Rat Terrier. She was born on March 12, 2026. She will be getting her vaccinations, spayed, dewormed and ready for her forever home. She will be a small dog full grown. 15 pounds or less. The breeder is closing shop due to an illness. We have agreed to help get her population down starting with the puppies. This breed is smart, loyal and the puppies are affectionate. Someone who knows this breed would be best. They are energetic so a moderately active family or more active would be best for the Rat Terrier. Kota would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Rat Terriers are great family pets and watchdogs for their family. Their training is easier due to their intelligence and a light touch is needed. They are a wonderfully sensitive breed and from experience want to do what you are asking. Tova is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. We have an entire litter of Rat Terriers. They are from a breeder. We don’t have papers but they are considered pure bred pups. Her adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See her cute video

Story
✅Currently located in South Korea✅️💟Available to fly to SEA💟The prices listed are based on USD, and the adoption fee will be calculated in CAD according to the exchange rate.Meet Kangmin❤️1️⃣ Health Condition Neutered. Microchipped. * Was diagnosed with a rare heart condition where there is a membrane in the blood vessel leading from the right atrium to the lungs. Is currently being monitored regularly and treatment may be necessary if symptoms appear later. Has a rare heart condition now, so we're keeping walks to a minimum. It's important to keep him calm because getting too excited can put a strain on his heart.2️⃣ Rescue Story Kangmin was found abandoned and was rescued by the fire department following a report. Before being moved to a shelter, he was temporarily cared for at the fire station. After hearing his story, Adogs decided to rescue him to provide more stable care and protection.3️⃣ Basic Information With People: Barks at strangers and can appear intimidated or cautious. Once he gets used to you, he approaches first and allows touching! Is a bit flinch at first, but he actually loves being petted once he warms up. His reaction to children is unknown as he hasn't met any yet. With Dogs: Tends to be mostly indifferent to other dogs. Prefers being alone to getting together with them. With Cats: Didn't really show much interest when he ran into a cat in the kennel. Separation Anxiety: Stays calm and shows no signs of anxiety when left alone. Potty Training: Mostly does outdoor potty. Occasionally urinates in his kennel. Hygiene: Due to his cautious nature, he may show mild defensive nipping or yelp when being handled for hygiene. However, he tolerates brushing well. Walks: Overexcitement can be hard on his heart, so we're keeping walks to a minimum. Car Sickness: Does not show symptoms of motion sickness during car rides. No aggressive biting. However, he may nip defensively/weakly when getting shots at the vet, having his nails trimmed, or trying to wipe away his tear stains. Barks defensively only when strangers enter his territory or when he hears external noises. Loves treats. Feels uncomfortable when hands approach his face or when someone tries to pick him up. Is afraid of sudden touches. Was scared of vet visits at first, but he’s getting a little better now. * Doesn’t have a high energy level. Rather than hanging out with other dogs, he feels more comfortable being on his own, but he's not just shy. Is such a brave boy, slowly opening up to the world at his own pace.
