Story
Debonair 11-year-old Jax is an active and smart boy who will be a wonderful companion for the right family! Jax is a 25 lb. rat terrier.  He is in excellent physical condition after beating cancer (a mast cell tumor on his belly).  Jax loves sunning himself, walking, jogging, playing with stuffed animals, and chasing a ball. He gets along well with small dogs he's introduced to in his home environment. He has been very nice to his foster siblings but can be protective of his space and might correct another dog who touches or steps on him with a yowl and small snap. Jax would be fine as a single dog or with a respectful smaller dog.  Jax should not live with cats or other small pets. He does also have a bit of anxiety which has been greatly reduced with a stable schedule and increased exercise.  Jax barks at the door when he needs to go out and is perfectly housetrained. He can be trusted to be free indoors and doesn't get into the trash, counter surf, or chew items. Jax might have a tough exterior, but he has a soft, loving heart for someone who is willing to take the time to understand him.See more photos of Jax at https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/jax .If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. Story
Cherri is a sweet and energetic girl who would love a family of her own! She is about 1 year-old and a svelte 20 lbs. She's very energetic but so sweet and loves other dogs and humans too. She does have a strong prey drive and chases small animals and is likely to chase cats. Cherri loves to run and explore, though she can get a bit excited and bark and pull, so she'll need a bit of guidance on walking etiquette. When inside, Cherri isn't destructive at all and just wants to sit in a human's lap for cuddles. Cherri can become very excited around food -- she might jump up and down at dinner time but she is eager to learn nice manners! Cherri is lovely young girl who is already house-trained, and she would surely make a great companion for an active person or family. For more photos of Cherri, see https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/cherri !  If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. Story
If you are looking for a total love bug, Cedar is your perfect girl. Weighing close to 15 lbs., 9-year-old Cedar enjoys snuggling with her people, napping in the sun, and exploring her fenced backyard. She's crate-trained but also loves to burrow under blankets and sleep close to her person in bed. She greets the day with requests for tummy rubs and happy bounces when it's time for breakfast. Cedar is 100% house-trained. In Cedar's past, she had limited experiences or positive interactions with humans, so she is very shy and skittish. But she's treat-motivated and warms up pretty quickly with some patience and gentleness, especially if she's in an environment where she feels safe. She does prefer women to men, and her primary person should be a woman. She has not minded attending her foster-grandparents' family dinners, and low-key dinner parties in her own home. As long as her primary person is nearby, and people take it slow with her, she does just fine.  In her own yard, she's a happy, exploring girl. She likes running around with her foster siblings and barking at wildlife. She startles easily, so she prefers her out-of-yard walks be in a quiet environment. This girl is just a bit of a homebody, though that circle can certainly expand with care.   Cedar gets along great with her foster siblings. She likes and is comforted by her dog friends and does not mind cats at all. She doesn't really understand play, but she never has an unkind word for anybody. Cedar has a wonderful, sweet personality, is a low-maintenance dog, and has been a joy to her foster family. See more photos of this sweet girl at https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/cedar . Story
Sweet Pixie is an adorable, tiny rat terrier mix at only 5 lbs.! Since moving in with her foster, Pixie has adjusted to life in the Pacific Northwest well and is ready for her forever home! Pixie is estimated to be 1 year-old and is very shy with humans. However, she loves other dogs and will play and run around for hours when she is in the company of a friendly and playful dog. For this reason, she would do best in a home with at least one canine sibling. She'd likely be good with cats or smaller animals as long as there are other dogs present since she often follows the lead of other dogs.   With little Pixie you can have it all -- she is young and puppy-like but she is also full house-trained and well-mannered! If you can provide the stable family that Pixie so craves, please apply to give her a new life and a forever home today.
