Story
We got Rin when she was 1yr old from Ginger’s Pet Rescue. Over the years we have acquired 3 cats all of whom Rin respects with indifference. She is almost cat-like in behavior because you will find her always snuggling next to you in a tight little ball. Her favorite thing is to just follow you around to every room you are in and just chill next to you. She visits our dog-friendly office and gets along with a variety of other dogs. We have realized over the years that we live too active a social life to keep leaving our dog in a crate so frequently. She is house broken and can hold it for 8hrs with no issue. We only crate her because if we leave her uncrated in the house she has a chance to pee near the door due to separation anxiety. When people dogsit her and she is left uncrated when they leave she doesn’t pee, so isn’t an age or bladder issue.

Story
Dapper 12-year-old Jax is an active and smart boy who will be a wonderful companion for the right person! Jax is a 25 lb. rat terrier. He is in excellent physical condition after beating cancer (a mast cell tumor on his belly)! Jax loves sunning himself, walking, jogging, playing with stuffed animals, and playing fetch. He gets along well with small dogs and calm large dogs. He has been very nice to his foster siblings but can be protective of his space and might correct another dog who touches or steps on him with a yowl and small snap. He is protective of his body and needs to wear a muzzle to be physically handled. Jax would be good as a single dog or with a respectful, smaller dog. Jax should not live with cats or other small pets. He also has a bit of anxiety, which has been greatly reduced with a stable schedule and increased exercise, but if unchecked can spiral into bouts of barking. Jax barks at the door when he needs to go out and is perfectly house-trained. He can be trusted to be free indoors and doesn't get into the trash, counter-surf, or chew items. Jax may seem tough, but he has a soft, loving heart for someone willing to take the time to understand him. See more photos of Jax at  https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/jax   If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. NewRattitude.org/adopt/  From there, you can access our adoption application or contact our Adoption Team for more info.October 1, 2025, 10:00 pm

Story
Meet Tina! She is a 1 year old rat terrier/heeler mix rescued with her mom, sister and younger siblings after being dumped in a bad area of town. She is very submissive and a little shy at first but wants she warms up she loves belly rubs! She get's that from her mom! She is great with other dogs of all sizes but prefers medium and small dogs. The bigger dogs make her a little nervous. She is working on leash walking, potty training and crate training. She is currently 23 lbs with long legs. She is just a sweet girl looking for love and a place to lounge around! Tammy is available for adoption with Saving Grace Dog Rescue of San Antonio. The adoption fee is $195 local or $395 out of state with transport. An adoption application and adoption contract are all required. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations appropriate for their age, microchipped, and wormed for internal and external parasites. If you would like more information please email us at sgdrsa@outlook.com. An adoption application can be completed online at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SGDR/Dog Please note that visual breed identification in rescue dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only GUESSING at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Story
Welcome 4-year-old Bowser to CCPAL Rescue. Bowser is a Rat Terrier mix. We think he is mixed with Dachshund. He appears to be house trained because he doesn’t like to go in his kennel even though there is a wee pad. He is smart. He is adorable and weighs about 15 pounds. He is good on a leash and knows the sit command. He is lower on the shedding scale. He loves car rides and if he is off leash and you need him to come, you can open the car door and he will jump in. The only thing he isn’t great at is nail trims. He doesn’t like them, so we let the vet techs do that at his appointments or his groomer. He would be a great walking companion. He has lived in a home with small children and did great. We would like all the children to be 8 or older. He is very affectionate and liked it when Colin held him today. He can run very fast and he comes when you call. He is good with other dogs, even when bigger than himself. He isn’t over vocal and will bond deeply to his human. Many people love the Rat Terrier breed because of their loving nature. He is currently in Texas at the CCPAL Rescue. He is getting his vaccines topped up and will be ready for his new forever home as soon as we find his placement. We think a moderately active family would be best. He is loving and cuddly but will need a yard to play in or a walk daily to get his exercise in. He is a Rat Terrier so he will have fun checking the yard for rodents. He can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Porltand, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.  Roscoe is a fun, lovable, young guy looking for people committed to him for life!  He is very affectionate and lovable and he's great with other dogs, especially if they like to play a bit harder and wrestle.  He looks like a chihuahua, and rat terrier so may have either or both in his gene pool.  Darling little tri color regardless!!!  He's making progress with his housetraining as long as he gets fairly regular trips outside.  When he came in, he religiously soiled in this crate and we believe someone got him as a baby who worked full time and thought a baby would just self train while being crated for 10 hours a day.  That just makes them believe the crate is their toilet.  So he may do better with someone who just doesn't believe in crating a dog.  He loves toys, play time and giving or receiving affection.  Who's looking for a doll like Roscoe? Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 16, 2026, 3:50 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Chimenea! If I had to describe myself, I would say I am funny, playful, and happy. I love going for walks, playing with stuffed toys, running, and even car rides. I dream of finding a home where I get lots of love, regular walks, and maybe even a friendly female dog as a companion. I do best in a home without small children, and I am ready to give all my love to the right family. I was rescued after wandering the streets for many days, and now I have been waiting 2 years for someone special. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

Story
PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. To see more pictures of this dog, please visit our Facebook page and look under “photos” and then “albums”. 4-year-old male Manchester Terrier, about 20 pounds. Prince lives up to his name. He really is a little Prince. He loves to play, take walks, run in the yard, sleep under the covers, and snuggle. Prince truly is a lap dog. He is a very good boy and loves being told so. When you tell him he is a “good boy,” he gets super excited. He is a great listener and takes commands very well. He is exceptionally smart and capable of learning most anything. Currently, he knows come, sit, and laydown. We have been working on “place,” but are not quite there yet. He also knows how to use a doggy door. He is very food motivated, which has been great for training. He also gets lots of compliments on walks for just how pretty he is. He is a handsome boy. Prince is one of those dogs that is energetic but also knows how to relax. A bed is his third favorite place to be, just behind laying outside on the grass in the sunshine or sitting on your lap. Prince would do best in a house with adults only, a yard to play in and walks, daily to a few days a week. Prince is a bit of an escape artist. He will need a home with a securely fenced yard. We are talking 5-6 foot fence with no escape routes, including gaps near the ground or any thing he can use as a boost. He is very savvy and curious about the world outside of your home, which is also why he loves walks. While he does not bark a lot, he does if he sees a neighbor, especially one with a dog, and delivery folks, so shared walls may not be ideal if you live in a busy area. He is great with other dogs. We have 5 others with him now of varying sizes, ages, and attitudes, and he does well with them all. He is very respectful of other dogs’ boundaries and needs. But he would also be a great only dog. He loves to be the center of attention. He has been in rescue ever since he was given up as a puppy, which means he is still learning how to socialize best with humans. This is really only an issue with brand new people and strangers. He will need to be slowly and carefully introduced to new people at first. He is very protective of you and your home. Once he gets to know you, however, you become his favorite person in the world. Prince wants nothing more than to please those he loves. Prince really is a super sweet, loving boy that with a little more training and patience will be the perfect companion. Story
PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. 3.5-year-old female Manchester Terrier/Min Pin mix, about 16 pounds. "La La Lasagna Pasta Face", as her foster calls her, is a sweet and loyal girl. She loves to cuddle and follow you around the house. She is timid with new people but warms up quickly. She does fine with other dogs that ignore her and she tends to stick to herself in the yard. But she is very protective of HER person and doesn't want other dogs nearby. So being an only dog in the house will suit her just fine. Or you can train her to share! She can scale a 4-foot fence, but not to run away, just to find another way into the house when HER human is inside. She will go out to do her business and want to come right back in to snuggle or play. She has some energy and would love to go for a walk. It is likely that a cat might get chased and she really needs to be in an adult only home. To request an adoption application, email smidgetrescue@hotmail.com Adoption contract and fee applies.
