Story
We are a retired couple. We have been traveling extensively and just bought a home in Gulfport. All the traveling is hard on Chachi, he needs a place to be without moving around so much. Chachi is a loving little dog who loves to snuggle with you. He can be on his own at home. He likes his "home" kennel. He is good with people once he gets to know them, same with kids. At first he can be very nervous and barking at strangers. He is good on walks and is overjoyed to ride in the car. He is mostly good with other dogs, sometimes barks at larger black dogs. He came from Texas where he was raised by a family that could no longer keep him. We have had him three years and we do love him, but think he needs a more stable home life. Not so much traveling around.

Story
Jax is a 4-month-old, 12-pound Rat Terrier mix with the cutest little stubby tail — he was just born that way! His litter was born stray in a trailer park, and he’s the last one still looking for his forever home.Jax is a sweet, gentle soul who’s a little skittish at first, but once he warms up, he’ll be your shadow. He loves being near his people and craves attention, affection, and cuddles. He plays wonderfully with his foster siblings and enjoys soaking up the sun outside. He’s also just starting to discover the fun of toys!Jax is ready to trade in his rough start for a life full of love and belly rubs. Could you be the one he’s been waiting for?IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
Hello there, I’m Hot Dog! But you can call me Hot Digity if you’re feeling extra friendly. I’m a senior fella, 13 pounds, 15 years old, and I’m looking for a quiet, loving home where I can relax, snuggle, and be the good boy I am.I’ve had a bit of a rough start, coming from a hoarding situation, but I’m healthy and happy now, thanks to my wonderful foster mom. I’ve had a couple of surgeries recently—cherry eye surgery, a dental cleaning, and some extractions, but don’t worry, I’m feeling good! I eat soft food and small kibble just fine, and I’m pretty easy-going about it all.I may be an older guy, but I still enjoy meeting new people (humans, that is—I’m not too sure about other dogs, especially if they don’t understand my cute little grunt-growl when I’m getting all snuggly). My foster mom’s dogs don’t really get me, but I’m cool with other dogs as long as they’re respectful of my personal space. I like to take it easy, resting and enjoying my snuggles, but I do bark when someone unfamiliar comes by. That’s just my way of saying, “Hey, who’s there?”I’m crate trained and a good listener, very attentive to my foster mom’s requests. I’m still working on my potty training, but I’m making great progress. I walk well on a leash now, and I love to meet new humans. My foster mom says I’m a good dog and that she wishes we had more one-on-one time, but I’m happy with whatever I get, as long as I get my snuggles!I’m heartworm positive, and doing the slow kill method so it’s easier on me. I just want to live out my golden years in a clean, loving environment where I can feel safe and cherished. So, if you’re looking for a quiet companion who just wants to be your best friend, I might be the one for you. I’m ready for my second chance. Could you be my person?*My adoption fee is partially sponsored to help me find a loving forever home!*IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
Weight: 11 lbs Dog Friendly: Yes Cat Friendly: Unknown Kid Friendly: Yes, older considerate kids will be best Crate Trained: She feels safest & does best in an x-pen with her kennel within it Potty Trained: Very Close! REQUIREMENT: Confident companion dog within the home & a secure physical fence Meet Miss Panda! She may not remember her birthday, but this little 11-lb cutie plays like a pup and has the energy to prove it! Panda is likely a Cattle Dog/Rat Terrier mix—or maybe just 100% “happy and energetic.” Panda is joyful, curious, and always up for an adventure (as long as it’s not too chilly—she’s not a fan of cold weather). Everything seems new to her, so she bounces between brave explorer and cautious cutie, which only adds to her charm. She LOVES cuddle time, puzzle toys, treat searches, and learning new things—especially with a confident dog buddy to show her the ropes. She’s great with small dogs, likely fine with big ones, and warms up to kind, respectful kids. If you’re looking for a snuggly, playful sidekick who’s equal parts sweet and silly, Panda might just be your perfect match! Adoption Fee: $595
