I am about a year old and come in at around 11lbs. I had been tested positive for Heartworms but have had the immiticide treatment and am now ready for that thing everyone says is soooo wonderful....a family!!! I am a tad bit shy at first meet that will need a few NY minutes to start feeling comfortable. I have really come out of my shell at my foster home and have found out I really really love cuddles and those pawsome things called treats!! Once I feel safe I have a very sweet loving temperament that does well with people both tall and small and other pups. I even do great with the resident kitty. I am house and crate trained making it easy for us to get right to the fun stuff...right away. I'd love to share all your daily going on's. We are a retired couple. We have been traveling extensively and just bought a home in Gulfport. All the traveling is hard on Chachi, he needs a place to be without moving around so much. Chachi is a loving little dog who loves to snuggle with you. He can be on his own at home. He likes his "home" kennel. He is good with people once he gets to know them, same with kids. At first he can be very nervous and barking at strangers. He is good on walks and is overjoyed to ride in the car. He is mostly good with other dogs, sometimes barks at larger black dogs. He came from Texas where he was raised by a family that could no longer keep him. We have had him three years and we do love him, but think he needs a more stable home life. Not so much traveling around.
