Meet Poundcake! Poundcake is a sweet, friendly little guy who is absolutely dying for love. He loves people, does well with kids, and is happiest when he can be close to his person. He loves treats, mealtime, playing fetch with his toys, and being part of whatever you’re doing. He walks beautifully on a leash, stays nicely to the right, and is very attentive. He can be leash-reactive toward other dogs, but he is already improving with treats, praise, and positive redirection. He is also very respectful of the resident dog in his foster home, and they are gradually becoming more comfortable with each other. Poundcake is a enthusiastic greeter—he can jump surprisingly high and sometimes gently “gums” people to say hello, so his jumping manners are still a work in progress. His nails can be sharp, too! His housetraining is coming along. With regular walks he usually holds his urine very well, although he may have an occasional nighttime poop accident and doesn’t always quite make it onto the pee pad. Overall, Poundcake is a loving, playful, affectionate little companion who wants nothing more than to belong to someone and be loved right back.

Hi, my name is Peek and I am from Alabama! Peek is deaf and only has half his vision, but that doesn't slow him down! He loves playing with other dogs and kids. Since he can't hear he can get startled, but his trust comes quickly! Peek loves to play tug of war and is always interested in a chew toy! When he gets tired he always looks for a lap to snuggle in. While he doesn't love going into his crate, he settles down quickly and sleeps quietly all night. Peek would do well with another active dog who can help him. He also has a high pitch whine when left alone, so someone who is home often or doesn't have shared walls would be a better fit.
