Welcome 4-year-old Bowser to CCPAL Rescue. Bowser is a Rat Terrier mix. We think he is mixed with Dachshund. He appears to be house trained because he doesn’t like to go in his kennel even though there is a wee pad. He is smart. He is adorable and weighs about 15 pounds. He is good on a leash and knows the sit command. He is lower on the shedding scale. He loves car rides and if he is off leash and you need him to come, you can open the car door and he will jump in. The only thing he isn’t great at is nail trims. He doesn’t like them, so we let the vet techs do that at his appointments or his groomer. He would be a great walking companion. He has lived in a home with small children and did great. We would like all the children to be 8 or older. He is very affectionate and liked it when Colin held him today. He can run very fast and he comes when you call. He is good with other dogs, even when bigger than himself. He isn’t over vocal and will bond deeply to his human. Many people love the Rat Terrier breed because of their loving nature. He is currently in Texas at the CCPAL Rescue. He is getting his vaccines topped up and will be ready for his new forever home as soon as we find his placement. We think a moderately active family would be best. He is loving and cuddly but will need a yard to play in or a walk daily to get his exercise in. He is a Rat Terrier so he will have fun checking the yard for rodents. He can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Porltand, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Hi, my name is Sloan and I am from Georgia! From his foster: Sloan is a one-of-a-kind pint-sized clown. He looks like a golden retriever/dachshund/terrier mix, but also has a strip of curly fur down his back. He is 100% adorable and pretty darn perfect! Currently about 20 lbs., he will likely end up around 24-30 lbs. Sloan is a confident and exuberant guy, good with all people, kids, and dogs alike. He hasn't met any cats yet, but he'd likely get along with a dog savvy feline. He is a big fan of food and is fun to train. He is doing well with housetraining, but is still making friends with his crate. Though he loves to play and go for walks, he is happy to settle down for some couch time too. He loves to stay close to his people and is hoping for a home where he can sleep in the same room.

She’s a happy, playful girl who greets life with enthusiasm and confidence. Ginger loves people of all ages, gets along well with other dogs, and has been fine around cats too. She has a friendly, social personality but also has an independent streak that makes her fun and entertaining to watch. She has basic training, walks well on a leash (though she may still polish her manners), is crate trained, and does great in the car. Ginger is intelligent, eager to please, and always up for playtime. She has moderate energy and enjoys being active, followed by relaxing on her own terms. She’s the kind of dog who keeps you smiling just by being herself. One important thing to know about Ginger: she’s an excellent climber and a bit of a wiggly escape artist. Chain-link fences won’t hold her, and she should be contained in a secure kennel rather than a pen if confinement is needed. She’s clever and determined, so a home that understands her adventurous nature and can provide safe containment is a must. Canica is sweet and friendly after a little time to warm up and see new things. She is good with other dogs. She is living with cats and doing just fine. We always recommend proper intros when meeting new feline friends. Canica is fully house trained and is crate trained. She does fine confined in an area with things to do during a work day. All new dogs may have accidents in a new home. Canica loves toys and plays fetch. She even enjoys playing outside in the snow. Canica likes to wear clothes and would do great learning to wear boots too! Because she is a bit of a wallflower, Canica would do great in a basic training class to help bond with a new family too.
