Story
We are a retired couple. We have been traveling extensively and just bought a home in Gulfport. All the traveling is hard on Chachi, he needs a place to be without moving around so much. Chachi is a loving little dog who loves to snuggle with you. He can be on his own at home. He likes his "home" kennel. He is good with people once he gets to know them, same with kids. At first he can be very nervous and barking at strangers. He is good on walks and is overjoyed to ride in the car. He is mostly good with other dogs, sometimes barks at larger black dogs. He came from Texas where he was raised by a family that could no longer keep him. We have had him three years and we do love him, but think he needs a more stable home life. Not so much traveling around.

Story
Chachi is a great little guy, but he needs a stable loving home. We are traveling too much. He has become nervous and barky at strangers. He is good on walks, walking by anyone and outside. He is good at home alone. He likes his kennel. He is a very good dog. Healthy. Is good with our grandkids, but he needs to warm up to strangers and his barking might scare a younger child. He needs a stable loving environment. He has done well with traveling but is getting nervous around strangers . He barks at them.

Story
Chachi is a great little guy, but he needs a stable loving home. We are traveling too much. More than 14 places in 4 months, he has gone with us and does well. He has become nervous and barky at strangers. He is good on walks, walking by anyone and outside. He is good at home alone. He likes his kennel. He is a very good dog. Healthy. Is good with our grandkids, but he needs to warm up to strangers and his barking might scare a younger child. He has done well with traveling but is getting nervous around strangers . He barks at them. He loves to snuggle. Loves riding in the car. He does not bark at home with us or when we leave him on his own for a bit. He is housebroken. No bad habits. We have been home now for awhile and he is calmer, perfect if strangers do not come in the door. But barks at them if they do. He could be a good watch dog. He is quiet otherwise. We would love to see him go to someone who will love him. Contact cbcrna1@yahoo.com

Story
Snapshot of Bolt: Size? Shmedium (I'm bigger than a small dog but leaner than a medium dog!) Activity Level? I LOVE to play and run around. But also have a cuddly side! Noise Level? I'm pretty quiet unless I need something or the other dogs are barking. Good with Dogs? Yes! Good with Cats? Yes! Good with Kids? Yes! But I might knock them down if I get really excited. Good with Strangers? I love everyone! Potty Trained? I need a little time to adjust. But then I'm a pro! Crate Trained? I don't really like my crate. Shedding? Minimal About Bolt: Hi there! My name is Bolt and yes, the name fits my personality! Much like the dog from the 2008 movie of my namesake, I believe that I'm a superhero. I may be small, but I wrestle my 60 pound friends with a gusto far exceeding my size. I came to TCPR after I found myself at local animal control and no humans came to get me. I'm a really great guy so I'm not sure why nobody came to get me. But I have been loving my time at TCPR! I'm still technically an older puppy so I have the energy of an energizer bunny but I'm potty trained! I currently live with other dogs, cats, and kids. I love EVERYONE! Chasing the dogs around the yard and then eventually wrestling with them when we've grown bored of running is my FAVORITE thing! I also love nyla bones, stuffies (without the stuffing because my foster mom prefers that I don't throw stuffing everywhere), Kong toys with peanut butter. They help keep me busy when the other dogs want a nap but I still want to play. I mostly ignore the cats in my foster home unless I'm overflowing with energy. I'll try to plan with them and then they hiss and I back off. The kids are great and I want them to throw a ball or pet me anytime they get the chance. But I can sometimes knock them over if I run by them really fast. My adult foster parents keep a close eye on me when we're all running around! I also try to run out the front door sometimes so its important that my humans keep a close eye on me when they're entering and exiting too! Eventually I get my energy out and will snuggle up with my humans while they lounge on the couch. I'm a total cuddle bug when I'm not trying to run or play! I do well in the car and sleep contentedly in my crate at night. While I don't like to be crated when my people leave, I've learned that I get delicious treats when they go! I whine a little, but it doesn't last long, especially when I see that the other dogs are still with me. I'm making strides and getting used to it. I really enjoy my daily walk and am still practicing my etiquette on a leash. I know my perfect person or family is out there, and I'm so excited for a second chance. My ideal family would be active, have another playful dog, and will be patient with me while I settle into my new home and routine. I would love someone who could teach me to walk better on a leash (I pull a little, but its nothing crazy!) so we could go on long walks or hikes! I would make the perfect companion for someone who is looking to add a second (or third!) dog to their active lifestyle. Bolt is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations for his age. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Bailey is a sweet, 3 year old mixed breed, guesses on the breed mix, Rat Terrier or JRT/Beagle/Whippet? (guessing!) She is a very sweet girl, has lived with other dogs, but is better with dogs her size or bigger and maybe better to mix with males. She was a little dominant with a smaller, meeker female than her (Terrier!? ) So best with perhaps male or larger, males or can be a solo dog. Interested in adopting? Please complete an appropriate application at   https://redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=4003   *Adoption fees range from $525-$650 + tax, depending on details of the individual animal* redemptionroad.mn@gmail.com http://redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org https://www.facebook.com/RedemptionRoadRescue  All animals fully vetted appropriate for age: Spayed or Neutered Rabies vaccine DHPP vaccine 4DX test (@12 months or older) Microchipped Dewormed Flea/tick prevention  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 11, 2024, 10:40 pm
