Story
Hello there, I’m Hot Dog! But you can call me Hot Digity if you’re feeling extra friendly. I’m a senior fella, 13 pounds, 15 years old, and I’m looking for a quiet, loving home where I can relax, snuggle, and be the good boy I am.I’ve had a bit of a rough start, coming from a hoarding situation, but I’m healthy and happy now, thanks to my wonderful foster mom. I’ve had a couple of surgeries recently—cherry eye surgery, a dental cleaning, and some extractions, but don’t worry, I’m feeling good! I eat soft food and small kibble just fine, and I’m pretty easy-going about it all.I may be an older guy, but I still enjoy meeting new people (humans, that is—I’m not too sure about other dogs, especially if they don’t understand my cute little grunt-growl when I’m getting all snuggly). My foster mom’s dogs don’t really get me, but I’m cool with other dogs as long as they’re respectful of my personal space. I like to take it easy, resting and enjoying my snuggles, but I do bark when someone unfamiliar comes by. That’s just my way of saying, “Hey, who’s there?”I’m crate trained and a good listener, very attentive to my foster mom’s requests. I’m still working on my potty training, but I’m making great progress. I walk well on a leash now, and I love to meet new humans. My foster mom says I’m a good dog and that she wishes we had more one-on-one time, but I’m happy with whatever I get, as long as I get my snuggles!I’m heartworm positive, and doing the slow kill method so it’s easier on me. I just want to live out my golden years in a clean, loving environment where I can feel safe and cherished. So, if you’re looking for a quiet companion who just wants to be your best friend, I might be the one for you. I’m ready for my second chance. Could you be my person?*My adoption fee is partially sponsored to help me find a loving forever home!*IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
We are a retired couple. We have been traveling extensively and just bought a home in Gulfport. All the traveling is hard on Chachi, he needs a place to be without moving around so much. Chachi is a loving little dog who loves to snuggle with you. He can be on his own at home. He likes his "home" kennel. He is good with people once he gets to know them, same with kids. At first he can be very nervous and barking at strangers. He is good on walks and is overjoyed to ride in the car. He is mostly good with other dogs, sometimes barks at larger black dogs. He came from Texas where he was raised by a family that could no longer keep him. We have had him three years and we do love him, but think he needs a more stable home life. Not so much traveling around.

Story
Ranger is a 4-5yo mixed breed~ Shes super sweet with alot of energy Shes a amazing dog but with recent health issues i can no longer care for her and give her the time shes needs. She has alot of training but i have slacked on it due to my health problems. She needs a high energy yet calm demeanor household, someone who dose alot of activities or can give her plenty of daily exercise and walks.

Story
Hi there! I’m Dottie, a lovable little lady with a heart full of sweetness and the cutest one-up, one-down ears you’ve ever seen (at least that’s what my foster mom says)! I’m already house-trained and know to ask at the back door when nature calls—what a good girl, right? I love exploring the fenced backyard, sniffing all the exciting smells, and occasionally breaking into a case of the zoomies! Going for walks is another favorite of mine—it’s just more places to sniff and sights to see. At bedtime, I curl up in my own cozy bed right next to my foster mom’s. I’d happily snuggle in her bed if she let me! We both sleep through the night without any accidents or potty breaks. I haven’t had the chance to meet many other dogs, cats, or kids just yet, but I’m excited to learn more about the world around me and find my perfect match. If you’re looking for a sweet, curious, and cuddly companion, I might just be your girl. I can’t wait to meet you! Dottie is estimated to be 1 year old and 25 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested.  If you are interested in meeting this dog please complete the adoption application on our website at https://safehandsrescue.org/adoption-process/ and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting. We are also holding the following upcoming adoption events! Saturday, May 10, 12:00pm-2:00pm, Forgotten Star Brewing, 38 Northern Stacks Drive, Fridley, MN 55421 https://www.facebook.com/events/1659388531595938  Saturday, May 17, 11:00am-1:00pm, Bachman's Cedar Acres; 23004 Cedar Avenue Lakeville, MN 55044 https://www.facebook.com/events/2123807798055837 Animal attendance is subject to change based on their availability. Please check our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/safehandsrescue/ for confirmed attendance the morning of the event.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Pepito found himself unwanted and on death row in a high kill shelter in West Texas.  He loves adult humans, he can be dog selective. No cats or kids.  He is typical JRT and has energy and needs to be kept busy.  All dogs and puppies require supervision and training.Pepito is a very sweet Jack Russell Terrier mix who is about a year and a half old. He is fully grown and weighs only 22 pounds. Pepito can be dog selective, especially with larger dogs. He would be best with a home that has a dog near his size or is the sole dog. The energy of smaller children frightens him, so that should be avoided. He walks well on a leash, is kennel trained, and is a great cuddler and gives the best hugs. First priority will go to someone who lives in the twin cities metro in order to bring to a vet visit early May.  Please put in your application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 17, 2025, 5:52 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Guess what? I will be at Orvis, 5001 Excelsior Blvd, St. Louis Park, MN 55416 (Next to Miracle Mile Shopping Center) for an Adoption Event on Saturday, May 4th from 12:00-2:00 pm. Come and meet me!!! Please email inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com for questions regarding the dogs. Introducing Pippi, the delightful Parsons Russell Terrier mix puppy who proudly holds the title of the biggest girl in her pack! With a heart as big as her appetite, Pippi is often the first or second to dash to the food bowl, ready to savor every tasty morsel. Despite her eagerness for mealtime, she has a gentle soul that shines through in her affectionate nature. Pippi loves to receive soft kisses and adores using your arm as her favorite pillow, finding comfort and warmth in your company. With her charming personality and loving demeanor, Pippi is sure to fill your days with joy, cuddles, and plenty of happy moments! I’m a growing puppy and I have not yet had a lot of experience with crates, kids or cats and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hoping for a family who will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build confidence and dog skills. Ideally my forever home would need to be home during the day to help me with my potty training and not leave me for breaks longer than 3 - 4 hours. If you are looking for a best friend, please fill out the puppy application. The more info you include on the application the better so I can find a good match for my forever home. Get your toy box ready! **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! P lease note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   This puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion. Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
