Meet Justin (he's a lover boy, as he knows no strangers). Everyday this enthusiastic boy wakes up eager to meet the next new person, dog or even a cat! Adorable, goofy, bouncy, happy-go-lucky, he becomes bffs with any pup or person who happens to be in the park. Justin will adjust his energy to theirs. Fetch is a favorite (actually brings the ball back to you) for as long as you can throw it or kick it. This pup's mid-to-spirited energy makes everyone smile and/or laugh all day long, and then he enjoys winding down for a good cuddle at night (we’ve caught him watching TV). Rhoadie is a very sweet, loving and intelligent pup. His favorite activities include sunbathing, cuddling, running with his foster sister, and playing with his favorite toys. This boy is very active and would be a great running or hiking partner. Rhoadie is a mix, so we don't know how big he will be when full-grown. As of May 2023, he weighs approx. 40 lbs. Although he is a quick learner and knows commands (sit, come, bed), Rhoadie does pull on the leash and will require obedience lessons so that he can continue to gain confidence and flourish. While in the car, he sometimes refuses to sit face forward and therefore can get car sick – must be at least some stubborn Ridgeback genes in him ;-). Rhoadie eats well, loves his blanket and walks around with it. He likes to be right next to his person(s), cuddling on the couch, in a seat…basically everywhere. He is a bit timid but friendly with strangers, and warms up after they get down to his level to let him sniff. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. DangDang was rescued in 2017 from the Dog and Cat Meat Trade, Yulin Festival. After being rescued he stayed at a China Shelter for a few years until it was his turn to be transported to the US. Most animals who are rescued from the trade have some emotional scarring due to the torture and experience they lived through. DangDang is slow to trust and takes time to open up, but when he does bond with his humans, he is extremely loyal and comfortable. Dang Dang is a 5 year old, 50 lb Shep Mix. He is a playful and gentle pup who loves to make new furry friends! This silly boy is always up for a game of chase and will playfully bow and boop his nose to get your attention. He would do best in a home with another dog to make him more comfortable and to give him a built in furry BFF, Dang Dang is crate and potty trained and will even walk himself to bed if you ask him nicely. Although he can be a bit timid around new things, he quickly warms up and shows his sweet and calm personality. If you're looking for a furry friend to help shine, Dang Dang is the one for you!
