Gypsy has been the best dog i could have asked for being a single mom. She is patient, loving, funny, and sweet. My son was raised around her for the past five years, and she has been so patient with him learning boundaries, as well as acting as a mother to my cat I took in after the mother abandoned her litter. I love her to pieces but unfortunately I can no longer afford to keep her healthy as she now requires a prescription food for a reaccuring uti issues. I also have had to start working more often with the cost of living and I am just not home enough for her and she deserves so much more. I really just want her to find a home with people who will love her and have time for her where I cant, and who can spoil her like she deserves.

While he hasn't been around young children, his gentle nature suggests he would be great with them. We don’t know how he is with cats, but he gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Buddy’s favorite toys are anything soft and squishy, and he enjoys the simple comforts of companionship. Fun fact: Some 45-pound dogs are convinced they`re lap dogs. Tiger is one of them.This friendly Catahoula mix (DOB 1/29/24) walks beautifully on leash, and has never met a person he didn`t want to be best friends with. He arrived as a stray, but he`s ready for a life where the only wandering he does is straight into your lap. He gets along great with other dogs. Introducing Auburn! Auburn is a beautiful Cattle Dog / Heeler mix who is approximately 3 years old and currently weighs 30 pounds. We rescued this gorgeous gal from the Hondo, TX shelter and although we don’t really know much bout he background, it is clear that people have not always been very kind to her. During her spay surgery, our vet discovered that she had been shot in the leg with a pellet gun. All of that is behind her now and we are excited to help this sweet girl find the loving home she deserves. Auburn is a gentle and curious. She needs someone who will go slow with her so that she can feel comfortable knowing that she will be treated kindly. Once she feels safe, she loves getting attention and affection. She gets along well with the other dogs in her playgroup and is happy and playful! With patience and lots of love we know Auburn will blossom and become a wonderful, loving companion to her new family. She is just waiting for that special person to understand her! She has a heart of gold and shows ZERO aggression of any kind. Sweet, submissive and needs one on one time and love, that we cannot give her here at the rescue. Auburn is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas. She is spayed, up to date on all shots, microchipped and her adoption fee is $325. She is available for a meet and greet with an approved application. Auburn tested positive for Chagas disease and has started her treatment. This is completely curable after treatment and dogs can go on to live long and happy lives. Our rescue is one of the first to do Chagas testing for all of the dogs in our care and is having measurable success in the treatment protocol. We are also focused on continued education and awareness of Chagas to help even more dogs.
