Meet Max! He is a 1 yr old neutered male German Pinscher/Doberman Pinscher that weighs 66lbs. He came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 10/14 as an owner surrender. Reason given was he had too many animals, and Max was a big pup. He has been very well cared for, clean soft fur, and may be housetrained. He is an extremely handsome boy, and always has a smile on his face. Despite being left at the shelter, he has an upbeat, happy go lucky personality. And such a silly playful side too. He found a stuffed toy and he threw it up in the air and bounced around the shelter yard. He walks well on a leash and takes treats gently. On occasion he does get excited and will try to jump, yet he can be quickly redirected with the sit command. Very smart pup! He hopes he can find a loving family with a secured yard, take him for walks and enrichment, shower him with plenty of stuffed toys and be close and cuddly with his human companions inside on his own dog bed. Tho he had no reaction to other dogs barking at him, we do ask if there is another dog in the home please ask the shelter for a dog test. Come meet this wonderful boy!!

Duke is a sweet protector! Really calm dog indoors as long as he doesn’t hear knocks on the door then he will bark till you answer it per usual. Will sleep on you all day if you let him. He is potty trained. Just keep your trash can out of his reach, he is a little dumpster diver. I can no longer care for him, he still has a lot of life left and would hate for him to be put down.

Bleu is a 1.5-year-old, 70 lb Rhodesian Ridgeback mix with a heart as big as his paws. With his playful energy and loving nature, he's the perfect companion for someone whoâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s ready for both adventure and snuggles. Bleu was rehomed after his previous family realized they didnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t have the time to give him the attention he deserves. Since then, heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s been thriving in foster careâ&#194&#128&#194&#148loving life, learning quickly, and waiting patiently for his forever home. This affectionate guy is happiest when heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s with his humansâ&#194&#128&#194&#148whether itâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s playing fetch, tug-of-war, rolling in the grass, or simply relaxing with some belly rubs. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s incredibly social and gets along well with other dogs. He currently lives with two foster dog siblings (a dachshund and a chow chow!) and loves romping around with them in the yard. Bleu is crate-trained, house-trained, and making great progress on leash walking.
