Duke is a sweet protector! Really calm dog indoors as long as he doesn’t hear knocks on the door then he will bark till you answer it per usual. Will sleep on you all day if you let him. He is potty trained. Just keep your trash can out of his reach, he is a little dumpster diver. I can no longer care for him, he still has a lot of life left and would hate for him to be put down.

Meet Max! He is a 1 yr old neutered male German Pinscher/Doberman Pinscher that weighs 66lbs. He came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 10/14 as an owner surrender. Reason given was he had too many animals, and Max was a big pup. He has been very well cared for, clean soft fur, and may be housetrained. He is an extremely handsome boy, and always has a smile on his face. Despite being left at the shelter, he has an upbeat, happy go lucky personality. And such a silly playful side too. He found a stuffed toy and he threw it up in the air and bounced around the shelter yard. He walks well on a leash and takes treats gently. On occasion he does get excited and will try to jump, yet he can be quickly redirected with the sit command. Very smart pup! He hopes he can find a loving family with a secured yard, take him for walks and enrichment, shower him with plenty of stuffed toys and be close and cuddly with his human companions inside on his own dog bed. Tho he had no reaction to other dogs barking at him, we do ask if there is another dog in the home please ask the shelter for a dog test. Come meet this wonderful boy!!

Meet Lucy! Lucy is a very high energy, fun-loving, loyal sweetheart. She is very playful, loves to run, and is VERY social. Lucy can be pretty strong-willed, but she is also very smart. She knows her training, but is too stubborn sometimes to obey. She really needs someone to bond with, that will give her the time and devotion she needs. She definitely needs a lot of training, as she is still under 1 year old and we cannot afford the proper training she needs. She also needs a LOT of space, as she LOVES to run and play catch! A fenced in yard, and a very active owner would be best for her. We rescued her at 2 months old from a local shelter but we live in an apartment in the city, and due to heath issues, I cannot keep up with her energy. Even though its hard, we have accepted that we are not the best fit for her, and have chosen to see if we can find someone who can truly give her what she needs! She is so sweet, and the biggest baby, and has so much potential to be your best friend!

Meet Marley, an adorable and insanely handsome boy. Marley is 1 year old, around 40 lbs mixed breed pupster. His beautiful tan coat, big brown eyes and pointy ears make him hard to miss and forget. Just look at him! Marley was found as a stray in June 2024 and brought to Dallas Animal Services shelter at only 4 months old. Luckily, he was adopted the very next day and has been living with his current family ever since. Marley is a pup of a medium temperament and energy level. He enjoys walks, chasing balls, playing outside with toys but he is also perfectly happy to chill, cuddle and have a quiet movie night with his family (hint- he likes dog movies!). He is a very loyal dog and a great guardian of his humans and his household. He loves kids! While Marley currently lives with his two furry brothers, he prefers to fly solo and to have an undivided attention of his humans. This amazing boy is full of love and craves human affection. Meet Luna, lover of walks, food, and stuffies. She is an active 5-year-old labrador/black mouth cur mix that weighs about 50 pounds. She has beautiful golden eyes with amazing built in â&#194&#128&#194&#156eye-linerâ&#194&#128&#194&#157. She also has some battle scars from rough encounters with other dogs, leading her to being very dog selective. She has a sensitive tummy, requiring a low-fat diet, and early signs of hip dysplasia. Both are controlled with inexpensive medication and supplements. She is up to date on all of her vaccines, she is spayed, and microchipped. Luna is high energy, so she is always up to go for a walk, but also enjoys a good nap. She likes to engage in zoomies and serious sessions of play to burn energy. She would like a home where she can be the one-and-only pet. Small children stress her out, so we'd want to make a match with kids thoughtfully. She is good with older children and teens who can respect her boundaries. Luna is housebroken, leash, and muzzle trained. She likes to sleep in her kennel at night, but prefers a little more space when left at home alone. She is a smart girl who knows a variety of other commands including; sit, stay, lay, spin, hug, place, out/in, shake, touch, and come. She has a very strong nose and loves a game of hiding and finding treats. We have made the heartbreaking decision to rehome our girl because as our baby becomes more active, she is becoming more stressed.
