She was found as a stray with injuries to her legs and feet, but thanks to a wonderful foster family, she healed both physically and emotionally. During her time in foster care, she proved to be incredibly affectionate—she loves people, enjoys snuggles, and plays wonderfully with children.Now living at our facility, Summer continues to work on her manners. She’s doing great with her leash training, is learning not to jump when excited, and already knows commands like `sit` and `no.` She’s eager to please and very smart, which makes her a great candidate for continued training in a patient and loving home.Summer loves doing zoomies in the yard and spending time outdoors. She’s made some doggy friends here with slow, proper introductions, and would thrive in a home that can continue supporting her socialization.This sweet girl is ready to leave her past behind and start a new chapter with a family who will give her the love, structure, and security she deserves. Weighing in at around 64 pounds, George is not only handsome—he’s also incredibly gentle and sweet-natured. Though the shelter environment makes him a bit shy at first, George warms up quickly once he feels safe. He let us examine his teeth with no fuss, showing just how well-mannered and trusting he can be. Sweet, handsome, fun-loving Blake is 2 years old and weighs 50 lbs. We think he is a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Black Mouth Cur mix. He is affectionate and loves to give kisses and cuddle with his people. He is friendly with every person he meets, but he can be a little picky about his dog friends. Blake is an excellent choice for someone wanting an only dog, but we think he would be ok in a home with smaller dogs. He loves to play fetch, and any old ball will do, but he hasn't quite mastered the part of bringing the ball back! Blake is very athletic and needs his daily exercise. He loves taking long walks. He is crate and potty trained. He won't be a good fit for apartment life. Blake will be a super loyal and loving companion. To meet Blake, please submit your application, and an adoption counselor will contact you.
