Story
Summer was born approximately on July 7th 2021. She was found as a stray with open wounds on her legs and feet. Her owners were never found. She spent some time healing at a foster home and she did great. Friendly with people and children. Loved spending time with the family and snuggling and playing with them. She has been at the facility for some time now all healed and working on manners. She is improving her leash training and learning not to jump. She knows sit and understands the command NO. I love doing zoomies in the yard and spending time outdoors. She has made some friends at the facility. Slow introductions would be recommended. Summer is very smart and would be amazing once she gets in a home with a family that trains her and shows her love and security.Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heart-worm preventative, heart-worm test if over 6 months, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided. If you are interested in adopting, please complete our Pre-application: https://form.jotform.us/asr628/ShortAdoptionInquiry

Story
Mac is a 10 year old, 66 lb Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. Yes, Mac is a senior gentleman with a distinguished gray muzzle, but he is still young at heart! Mac loves everyone, including his tiny human sister and his four legged brothers and sisters, and he play chase with one of the resident dogs. He's faster than you would think! He likes to bring his toys to his soft bed for nap time. He loves going on car rides and stopping at Sonic for his favorite doggie treat. Mac likes his routine, so he needs a calm, quiet, low activity home. If you are interested in an amazing dog who is beyond the challenging puppy stage but still a lot of fun, Mac just might be the guy for you! Mac qualifies for our senior adoption fee of $125.00. Please submit your application at www.humanetomorrow.org, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Story
Sweet, handsome, fun-loving Blake is one year old and weighs 40ish lbs. We think he is a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Black Mouth Cur mix. He is affectionate and loves to give kisses and cuddle with his people. He is friendly with every person he meets, but he is not a fan of other dogs. If you are looking for an only dog situation, Blake is an excellent choice. He would love to get all of his people's love, attention, and play time. Speaking of play time, he loves to play fetch, and any old ball will do, but he hasn't quite mastered the part of bringing the ball back! He is crate and potty trained. He won't be a good fit for apartment life. Blake will be a super loyal and loving companion. To meet Blake, please submit your application, and an adoption counselor will contact you.

Story
PLEASE READ ABOUT PAXTON We are searching for a family for Paxton who can foster him until he's ready to be adopted. Paxton will need a family who has some dog experience and who can handle a big, strong boy. He's very well-behaved and loving and snuggly. His only vice is the leash. He likely had some traumatic experience before he came to us and he's not a huge fan of having a leash on or having it taken off. He's been staying with one of our training teams, and they've made huge progress with him. He has come so far, but he'll need someone who can continue working with him. Without the leash, Paxton is a big ol' goofball. He loves belly rubs and is such a sweetheart. He enjoys playing with toys, and he's a huge fan of snacks. Paxton is a handsome boy and just wants to be your best friend. We would like to find a family who would like to foster Paxton while he finishes up his training and care. He will be able to be formally adopted once he's finished everything ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://iamdogrescue.org/adoption-application/ ***IMPORTANT- PLEASE READ*** Our adoption fee is $175. We require an application to be completed prior to setting up a meet-and-greet. We do not offer "on-the-spot" adoptions. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. We do our best to match dogs with families that will be a good fit to help ensure a successful adoption. We reserve the right to decline any application for any reason. Due to the nature of our adoption process, our fosters are usually only able to consider forever families within a reasonable driving distance of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. A vet reference is required, and a trial period will be completed before finalizing the adoption. Thank you for your understanding.

Story
Rocky is a friendly, happy, and snuggly dog who is always eager to meet new people. His positive energy is evident in everything he does, and he’s an absolute love bug who thrives on attention and affection. Here’s a breakdown of his current behavior and some important notes: Body Language: Rocky passes by kennels and play yards with confident and good body language. He is relaxed and comfortable around other dogs. Leash Behavior: Rocky is always excited to go for walks! He does tend to pull on the leash, but we’ve worked with him a bit and he’s made noticeable improvements. With continued training, he’ll become even better on walks. Training: Rocky is very smart and already knows how to “sit” on command. He’s eager to learn and always happy to engage during training sessions. Size: Rocky is a big guy! His head is about hip-height on me, and he has large, sturdy feet. He’s got the presence of a big, strong dog, but his sweet demeanor is his true charm. Snack Time: Rocky can be a bit jumpy when it comes to snacks, but his enthusiasm is just part of his lovable nature. Personality: This guy is handsome and snuggly—he absolutely loves attention, and all of us gave him some love, which he happily accepted and enjoyed. His kennel tech loves him too, and it’s clear that Rocky has a lot of love to give. Escape Artist: Rocky is quite the clever guy! He can scale a 6ft tall wooden plank fence, so he should never be left outside unsupervised unless he’s on a tether or in a covered kennel. This makes him a great candidate for agility sports! With his intelligence and athleticism, he’d thrive in that type of environment. Overall, Rocky is a sweet, affectionate, and energetic dog who just needs some guidance and supervision in the right home. He’s ready to bring joy and love to a family who can match his excitement and energy.

Story
We have had him since he was a puppy and he grew up with our pug so he seems to act like he is a small breed dog and doesn’t understand his size. He was born outside, but prefers to be indoors like our pug as well as wants to be in our bed, on your lap and will trample our little children without hesitation due to his size and stature. He really means well and would do best with someone who can give him all the undivided attention he craves as well as an environment without small children or cats. He already hurt one of our kids unintentionally as well as attacked and eaten a neighbor’s cat that wandered into our yard one day, plus we are moving to a smaller house as well as having another baby so we just can’t have him around anymore because he has become more of a hazard in our home.

Story
Coco is a very sweet girl. She is great with our Pyrenees and her puppies. She is not fixed and had a litter of 10 puppies. We still have two puppies that we are trying to find homes for also. She has a lot of energy and would be great on a farm or a big yard. One of the main reasons we are trying to find her a home is because we don’t have the space for her. We just have a very small yard. I also cannot get her fixed at this time.
