Abigail was picked up as a stray and we were all surprised when no one claimed her during her 10 day stray hold. It was hard to believe anyone would dump her off but apparently that was her story. She is sweet, loving and full of personality! Abigail is spayed, HW tested negative, UTD on all age appropriate vaccines and microchipped. We have aged her at just one year and she still acts like a puppy. We are only guessing about her breed mix but she has a distinct ridge down her back and she looks like a mini ridgeback. We feel like Abigail would love a fairly active family with older children and a fenced yard to run and play in. She is fine with smaller dogs that do not jump on her at first. We have not had her around cats but probably best a no cat home. She does like to jump and will need some training but she is a lover! The ideal home for Abigail would be an only pet home with a young couple/person that loves to hike or go on long walks. She has a lot of energy and would not do well in a low activity home. Marshall is in Warrenton and available for adoption from SweetPups Nation Rescue and Sanctuary. If I had to pick one word to describe him it would be “soft”. He has the softest coat, he is very kind hearted and just has a light way of moving around. Absolutely no idea on breeds but can make a case for Ridgeback or various sight hounds. He hasn’t displayed any sent hound traits yet but could certainly be some. He has just been chilling here for a few weeks, he did go to Tractor Supply on Sat and he was good, nervous but good. He loves his crate and sleeps quietly. Has been no issue with cat or kids so far. He needs to work on learning to potty on a leash so that is our goal for this weekend. Yes I am using a flexi leash to allow him space. If you feel the need to comment on that. Don’t. So far I would classify him as a lower medium energy, he’s around 15 months old so probably full size but definitely has some filling out to do. I can see him being a fantastic couch potato and bed warmer and working in a variety of homes. He is fully vetted, had a ProHeart shot and is current on Nexguard and is microchiped. https://form.jotform.com/232467665004153

Age: 10 months as of 4/28 Size: ~30 lbs Estimated breed: Black mouth cur mix Holly would be happiest with at least one friendly resident pup in the home!   Update from my foster 2/17: Holly and her brother Buddy came from a property of over thirty dogs in rural Texas. Holly would be happiest with at least one friendly resident pup in the home! Holly is suspected to be a Black mouth cur mix and is 7 months old. She has been already been spayed and is up to date on all her vaccines. Holly has learned a few tricks such as place (she will go into her crate), is crate trained, housebroken, will go potty on the "empty" command, knows sit, and is working on down. She loves to play hard and nap hard and once she gets comfortable with you she will nap between your legs and show affection by sniffing and nuzzling you. It takes her some time to warm up to new people but once she does, she is your very best friend. Holly would love a home with a patient owner willing to earn her trust and at least one friendly resident dog in the home to show her the ropes.    Holly and her brother Buddy came from a property of over thirty dogs in rural Texas. The owner of the property unfortunately passed away and understandably, his wife could not keep up with the care of the thirty dogs. The shelter reached out to rescue partners and asked if they could take the dogs directly from the property so they didn't have to end up in the already overcrowded shelter. We immediately said "yes" to helping these two puppies find their new forever homes!    As of 10/28, Holly is 4 months old and around 9 lbs. At best guess, she is some kind of black mouth cur mix, but we can never say for sure! Like all puppies, Holly loves playing hard and napping hard. She is learning all her manners in her foster home and can't wait to continue her training with her forever family. She has done well with all people and dogs. We have not seen her around cats or kids.
