Duma is an affectionate, friendly 11-year-old neutered Ridgeback/Hound mix (65 lbs.) looking for an adult-only home. He loves people, enjoys walks, is house-trained, walks well on leash, and knows many commands. He’s healthy aside from arthritis, which is managed with gabapentin and supplements, and is current on all vaccinations. Duma would do best as the only pet in a home without children. Over the past year, he bit our young child twice after being unexpectedly approached from behind—once while lying down and once when hugged around his hindquarters while standing. Because of these incidents, we can no longer safely keep him in our home. Despite this, Duma is a loving, loyal companion who thrives on attention and enjoys being with his people. We know the right adult home will give him the chance to enjoy his senior years surrounded by love, comfort, and plenty of walks.

If youre the type who respects a slow warm-up and then welcomes the most loyal sidekick you’ll ever meet, Ive got your back (and your couch). Im still in Qatar, but can be transported to an approved foster or adopter. I cant wait to meet you!
