Story
Blue is 4 years old and has been with our family since he was a puppy. Breed is unknown as we got him from the shelter in Arizona where we used to live. He has been an indoor dog his whole life, but he has lots of energy and we walk or jog with him daily. He loves being outside as well. He is crate trained for sleeping at night and is obedient, mostly. He would probably make a great hunting dog with some training. He rarely barks, but has become more protective lately and once every week or two will bark if someone approaches the house. He has been trained with the Invisible Fence and does well staying in the yard with it on. He does get excited to see us and sometimes jumps up on people. This has become a problem for us and the neighbors and is one of the reasons we have decided to find a new home for him.

I’m an 8-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback/Boxer mix with a big heart and an even bigger love for my people. My life was turned upside down when my old family left me at a high-intake shelter, but my foster mom helped me heal, feel safe again, and remember what it’s like to be loved. Now I’m ready to find a forever family who won’t ever give up on me. I’m a polite girl with great house manners — I only chew on my toys (never shoes!), and I absolutely love squeaky toys and cozy donut beds. I’m also a champion sleeper and perfectly happy to snooze in with you on quiet mornings. Walks are one of my favorite things! Long, sniffy walks make me so happy, and I’m a wonderful adventure buddy. Sometimes I get a little reactive when I see other dogs on leash, but I’m learning every day. With some patience and positive training, I might even enjoy living with another dog after slow introductions. I adore people and I can’t wait to become someone’s loyal best friend. Bikini came to us from a small rural shelter where her chances of getting out were very slim. She is a 3 yr old pit/catahoula mix and don’t let her breeds fool you. She’s a total couch potato! She has her moments of zoomies but they don’t last long. While she does live in a foster home with other dogs of all sizes, she is the queen bee and can be a little bossy so she is looking for a home with no other dogs. She loves all people she meets and she is a very sweet girl. She has good doggie manners but needs some work on her leash training. She is a puller on the leash but we’ve seen a lot of improvement with the ez walk harness. Bikini is located in Texas. Her adoption fee is $195 local or $395 out of state with transport and includes current shots, microchip, heartworm test and spay. Current Location: Sykesville, MD Meet Scully 💕 1 to 2 year-old, handsome, sweet guy. He's got a big heart and a happy-go-lucky attitude. He is a silly boy that loves to play with anyone or any thing that will play with him. Even though Scully is an adult dog he acts like a 50 lb puppy. So he will need an active family and maybe another dog to play with. He likes walks, is friendly to EVERYONE he meets, does well in public places, and love to play with toys. He is great in his crate and snores the night away inside. He is also crated during the day without issue. He has been a big brother to several puppies in his foster home and is always gentle with them. He even lets them win at tug o' war. He is best in a home with another smaller dog and with a fenced yard as he needs to run and play. We are working on him NOT jumping on people, and he can be very mouthy especially when excited. He will need consistency in training to stop these 2 behaviors. He would do best in a family with older children as he does not realize his size or strength. So if you want a "Big Boy" who will happily ride in your truck and hang out in the park or cafe with you, then adopt this sweet, trusting, ingenuous dog today. - Good with dogs, puppies and little dogs - Good with cats - Crate trained - Potty trained - Very lovable and playful - Would do best in a home with a fenced yard - Prefers smaller dogs to be friends with (bigger dogs kinda scare him...lol)
