Story
Draco is a very affectionate and bubbly dog. He is a 3 year old adventure dog who loves going on walks and does amazing playing fetch outside! If you want a companion to go on hikes, road trips, or spending time outdoors with, Draco is great with his recall and has a blast outside! He does best as a family dog, I am a single dog owner with a busy schedule. Having a dog like Draco has been a blessing but I believe he would do great with lots of love and attention! Draco is the ultimate snuggle bug, when its time to unwind, Draco loves to come cuddle up next to you or at your feet. Draco and I have a nightly routine where he will sit up from above my pillows and rest his head on my shoulders and we would fall asleep like that every night. Truly a dog that loves to stay by your side, a mans best friend!

Story
Indio was around the shelter for two years, neglected by his former owners, we decided to give him a space in the shelter when he started playing among the cars on the road. In the midst of danger we were able to get him to safety, and he currently has his full vaccination schedule, microchipped and neutered, ready for his new home. He is a very faithful, intelligent, calm and very sociable dog. He was raised with other dogs and cats, so he makes him a good companion for any family, he likes to go for a walk on a leash, cuddles, receive prizes and learns very quickly. He is an affectionate companion, ideal for a family with children and cats, who wants to give him the love he deserves. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Story
Meet Toffee (brindle) and Heath (white), a bonded pair of one-and-a-half-year-old Catahoula mix brothers with an unshakable connection. These two grew up side by side and have been inseparable ever since. Toffee is hearing-impaired and looks to Heath as his guide and emotional support, while Heath takes that role to heart, always looking out for his brother. Both boys are friendly and affectionate, though they can be a bit timid in new situations. Once they warm up, their personalities shine—Heath is the energetic social butterfly, always ready for playtime or a walk, and Toffee brings a gentle, calming presence with his sweet, soulful eyes. They love running and playing together, whether it’s chasing each other around the yard or stretching out in the grass for a good nap. Their bond makes them the perfect team—Heath gives Toffee confidence, and Toffee keeps Heath grounded. They’re looking for a home that will embrace their unique connection and give them both the love, patience, and space to thrive. With Toffee and Heath, you’re not just adopting dogs—you’re gaining a loyal duo that will fill your life with double the love and twice the tail wags. Story
Animal Information: Cowboy is a 2-year-old, 100-pound sweetheart (his ideal weight is around 80 pounds) who came to Washington after being adopted directly from a Texas rescue. He has a rock-solid temperament and is friendly with dogs, people, and other animals. Unfortunately, Cowboy’s previous placement wasn’t the right fit. He was adopted by an elderly woman in her 80s who wasn’t able to walk or exercise him. As a result, Cowboy gained weight and wasn’t getting his needs met. After evaluating this beautiful boy, we committed to helping him find a more suitable home where he can truly thrive. Despite his size, Cowboy is easygoing and not difficult to walk. He’s a gentle, affectionate dog who enjoys companionship and would make a wonderful addition to the right family. His ideal home would be with someone who has experience with large breed dogs and lives in a single-family residence. While Cowboy hasn’t lived with children during his time in Washington, he has met several and consistently displayed soft, relaxed body language. Cowboy is ready for a fresh start with a family who can give him the exercise, structure, and love he deserves. Foster Profile: Cowboy is a lovely goofy guy who would love kids of all ages -- but he's a big guy so could knock down a little kid inadvertently--and he's social with dogs too. He's a really nice mix of energy and snuggle and rest -- take him for a nice hike and then snuggle and watch tv when you get home! He does get excited about rabbits and squirrels on walks, and we are working on that (and can help you learn how to keep working on that). He's a fast learner! He is crate and potty trained and an all around great guy! Cowboy would love a dog buddy in his new home, but would also be ok as a single dog. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was surrendered to our rescue after he was adopted directly from Texas to a home that was not a match, arriving to foster care on 4/17/26. He will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.October 7, 2026, 3:55 pm

I'm named Tuffy but what I really am is a big Softy. I'm an active, sweet boy and kind of a goofball. I came from a very nice couple who loved me very much, however, they were homeless. I am learning manners and making ALL kinds of friends at the rescue, but I am waiting for the SPECIAL FRIENDS who will give me my WILDEST DREAM- A HOME! SO, look me up, don't wait... APPLY!!!! Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Miso! Miso is a 1.5-year-old, 79 lb Rhodesian Ridgeback/Shepherd mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. This big, goofy boy is quite the handsome guy! Miso is sweet, spunky, silly, and full of personality. Miso does well with other dogs and enjoys playing with his canine friends, although he prefers slower introductions so everyone has a chance to get comfortable. He’s a big boy who can be strong and enthusiastic, so he’ll need a confident handler who is comfortable managing a large, athletic dog and is willing to continue working with him on his manners. Miso is smart and treat motivated, which makes him a great candidate for continued training. He’ll thrive with someone who enjoys working with their dog and can provide him with structure, consistency, and plenty of mental enrichment. This boy is built for adventure! Miso would love an active family who enjoys hiking, long walks, exploring, and getting outside. He’ll need daily exercise and opportunities to put all that young-dog energy to good use. A standalone home with a securely fenced yard would be ideal, giving him plenty of room to stretch those long legs and enjoy some outdoor time. Miso is a big, lovable goofball who is ready to find someone who can appreciate his size, strength, intelligence, and wonderfully sweet personality. If you’re looking for a hiking buddy with a giant heart and an even bigger personality, Miso might be your guy! Miso is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $550.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDEDMeet Rucker!Rucker is a 5-year-old, 90 lb Black and Tan Coonhound/Lab mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter. He’s a super sweet, happy, goofy guy who is ready to find a family of his own!Rucker is treat motivated and already knows sit. He loves going for walks and exploring, and he definitely has that classic hound spirit—curious, independent, and occasionally a little stubborn when he has his own ideas about where the adventure should go! He has the hound personality without the hound volume though—Rucker isn’t a big baying or noisy guy.Rucker came to us overweight, so he’s currently working on getting into healthier shape. His future family will need to be committed to continuing his weight-loss journey with regular exercise, appropriate portions, and a healthy lifestyle. Daily walks and adventures would be right up his alley. He has done well with other dogs and would enjoy having a compatible canine companion, although he’d also be happy being his people’s adventure buddy as an only dog with continued socialization. Rucker is a big, strong guy, and will need an adopter who can handle the strength that comes with a larger pup.Rucker is a sweet, goofy, good-natured boy who is ready to trade shelter life for a family that will get him out exploring, help him reach a healthy weight, and give him plenty of love along the way!Rucker is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.
