Story
Meet Clint! Clint is a hero in his own right, named after the legendary Hawkeye himself. He is a 3-year-old Catahoula/Pit mix who is athletic, handsome, and always ready for his next mission. He is a high-energy guy who would thrive with active adults (kids 12+) who enjoy hikes, adventures, and keeping life moving. True to his Hawkeye spirit, Clint is agile, strong, and loves to play, especially with confident, social, easygoing dog friends after proper introductions. Clint is deaf and has a visual impairment, so patience and consistency are key. The good news? This smart pup already knows basic commands using sign language and is highly food-motivated, making continued training both fun and rewarding. He may take a little time to warm up, but once he trusts you, he's incredibly friendly, affectionate, and more than happy to roll over and show you his belly as a sign of true friendship. Clint is housetrained, crate trained, and has been around cats without showing a strong prey drive. He is the kind of dog who bonds deeply with his people and will stick by your side like a true Avenger. If you're looking for an adventurous, loyal companion who just needs the right teammate to help him aim true, Clint Barton is ready to join your squad. He can be vocal because he can't hear himself and it can be hard to give him signs from a distance due to that as well. Overall he is a very sweet and playful boy.  Clint is vaccinated, neutered and chipped. His adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Bikini came to us from a small rural shelter where her chances of getting out were very slim. She is a 3 yr old pit/catahoula mix and don’t let her breeds fool you. She’s a total couch potato! She has her moments of zoomies but they don’t last long. While she does live in a foster home with other dogs of all sizes, she is the queen bee and can be a little bossy so she is looking for a home with no other dogs. She loves all people she meets and she is a very sweet girl. She has good doggie manners but needs some work on her leash training. She is a puller on the leash but we’ve seen a lot of improvement with the ez walk harness. Bikini is located in Texas. Her adoption fee is $195 local or $395 out of state with transport and includes current shots, microchip, heartworm test and spay. If you are interested in adopting Bikini complete the adoption application at the link below. Ally was found as stray in a busy street and owners were not found. She is 10-11 months old and will weigh around 55lbs when full grown. She is a little shy first but then warms up quickly, she is house and crate trained but will need more positive reinforcement. She does get along with other dogs and walks well on a leash. She is spayed, current on vaccinations, dewormed, and microchipped. She has a clean bill of health. The adoption fee includes her transport to your area and she is being fostered in Houston TX. Story
Hi, I’m Esperanza! But my foster family calls me Spranza. Let me guess, my eyes caught your attention, didn’t they? Yeah, I get that a lot. One blue, one brown. A little wild, a little soulful. Just like me. I’m roughly a 6 year-old Catahoula/Husky mix with a love for the outdoors and an even bigger love for you. I’m the kind of girl who wants to be where the action is, hikes, walks, backyard zoomies, but after that I’ll happily melt into the couch with my head in your lap. I’m equal parts adventure buddy and couch potato extraordinaire. I’m crate trained, housebroken, and I know a few commands like “sit,” “shake,” and “kennel.” I also know how to get extra treats with "the look", you’ll see. I’m great with other dogs after a little decompression time, and I’ve even made peace with the chickens here. I just need someone who gets me, someone patient, active, and familiar with dogs who have a little independence and a big heart. I’m not a fan of apartment life. I’ve got a voice, Husky, remember? And a nose that likes to follow where it leads. I’d do best in a home with a secure, fenced yard where I can stretch these legs and then crash on your sofa like a queen. Small kids? Not really my vibe. I’m polite, but I prefer calmer, more predictable environments. Older kiddos who respect my space? We can talk. If you’ve been searching for a smart, snuggly, loyal, and slightly dramatic best friend, I might just be your soul dog. Let’s go home, yeah? Love, Spranza 🐾 If you're interested in adopting me please fill out an application, https://form.jotform.com/theZOEYgroup/ADOPT

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌸🐾 Meet Shirley — A Soft Soul with a Big Heart (and a Little Extra Fluff) 🐾🌸 Shirley is a June 2023 baby, weighing in at about 60 pounds — though her ideal weight is closer to 50 (she’s currently rocking that “well-loved” look 😄). She’s spayed, fully vetted, and comes with what can only be described as an impressively solid resume for a family dog. Shirley checks all the important boxes: ✅ Good with other dogs ✅ Great with kids ✅ House trained ✅ Up to date on vaccines ✅ Loyal, loving, and well-mannered ✅ Professional belly-rub enthusiast At first, Shirley can be a teeny bit shy — the kind of girl who likes to observe before jumping in — but give her a moment and she’ll melt right into you. Once she trusts you, she’s all about the belly rubs, quiet companionship, and loyal sidekick energy. She’s sweet, gentle, and has a calm presence that makes her a joy to be around. She’s the kind of dog who doesn’t need to be the center of attention — she just wants to be near her people, soaking up love and offering it right back. Whether it’s lounging at your feet, joining you for a walk, or quietly supervising household activities, Shirley is happy just being part of a family. And yes… she could stand to lose a few pounds — but honestly, that just means more motivation to strap on that fitbit and getting your steps in... together, right? 😉 Shirley is ready for a home where she can feel safe, loved, and cherished — a place where she can finally settle in and be someone’s “good girl” for life. Apply today at haydudeequine.org and give Shirley the forever home she so deeply deserves. 🐾💖

Story
Animal Information: Cowboy is a 2-year-old, 100-pound sweetheart (his ideal weight is around 80 pounds) who came to Washington after being adopted directly from a Texas rescue. He has a rock-solid temperament and is friendly with dogs, people, and other animals. Unfortunately, Cowboy’s previous placement wasn’t the right fit. He was adopted by an elderly woman in her 80s who wasn’t able to walk or exercise him. As a result, Cowboy gained weight and wasn’t getting his needs met. After evaluating this beautiful boy, we committed to helping him find a more suitable home where he can truly thrive. Despite his size, Cowboy is easygoing and not difficult to walk. He’s a gentle, affectionate dog who enjoys companionship and would make a wonderful addition to the right family. His ideal home would be with someone who has experience with large breed dogs and lives in a single-family residence. While Cowboy hasn’t lived with children during his time in Washington, he has met several and consistently displayed soft, relaxed body language. Cowboy is ready for a fresh start with a family who can give him the exercise, structure, and love he deserves. Foster Profile: Cowboy is a lovely goofy guy who would love kids of all ages -- but he's a big guy so could knock down a little kid inadvertently--and he's social with dogs too. He's a really nice mix of energy and snuggle and rest -- take him for a nice hike and then snuggle and watch tv when you get home! He does get excited about rabbits and squirrels on walks, and we are working on that (and can help you learn how to keep working on that). He's a fast learner! He is crate and potty trained and an all around great guy! Cowboy would love a dog buddy in his new home, but would also be ok as a single dog. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was surrendered to our rescue after he was adopted directly from Texas to a home that was not a match, arriving to foster care on 4/17/26. He will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.August 4, 2026, 1:53 pm

Indio was around the shelter for two years, neglected by his former owners, we decided to give him a space in the shelter when he started playing among the cars on the road. In the midst of danger we were able to get him to safety, and he currently has his full vaccination schedule, microchipped and neutered, ready for his new home. He is a very faithful, intelligent, calm and very sociable dog. He was raised with other dogs and cats, so he makes him a good companion for any family, he likes to go for a walk on a leash, cuddles, receive prizes and learns very quickly. He is an affectionate companion, ideal for a family with children and cats, who wants to give him the love he deserves. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. MEET HOWIE! This happy, gentle Lab-Ridgeback-Pit mix is a loverboy! Howie is 6 years young and has a heart full of love to give. He was rescued from a California shelter in very rough shape - he had major skin issues/hair loss and had clearly been neglected, but now he looks so much better, and continues to be on good salmon food and supplements. He's appreciative of love and attention and is a very affectionate boy. Howie is a big snuggler and will want to share your bed! He loves going for walks and other outings. He is good with some dogs but not others, so would probably thrive as the only dog in the home, or with a submissive female. He's been waiting a long time for his own home, and we're hoping he can find a home by the end of the year. Howie currently needs a foster or forever home. He weighs about 55-60 lbs., and is still in California, but can be transported to you in Washington. Please email for an application.

KIM: The Professional Cuddle EnthusiastSome dogs enjoy affection.Kim has turned it into a full-time profession. If Kim could design her perfect day, it would include a nice walk, some playtime with other dogs, a few snacks, and an unreasonable amount of cuddling. In fact, if there were an Olympic event for receiving affection, we believe Kim would be a serious contender for a medal. What makes Kim especially remarkable is how quickly she decided to trust the good things in life. After spending much of her life surviving on the streets, one might expect her to be cautious, uncertain, or reluctant to adapt. Kim apparently disagreed with that plan completely.Instead, she embraced home life as though she had been practicing for it all along. She learned to walk on a leash, enjoys spending time indoors, comes when called, and loves being close to her people. Not near them. Not in the same room.Close.Kim firmly believes that humans were invented for petting dogs, and she sees no reason to question this conclusion.Additional photographic evidence supporting Kim's theories about humans and petting can be found here:https://hope4lapawz.org/wp1/kim-2026040dShe also loves other dogs and would be delighted to have canine friends to play with, provided they are as friendly and respectful as she is.At heart, Kim is simply a dog who wants to love and be loved. After everything life has asked of her, she remains gentle, trusting, playful, and endlessly affectionate. These days, Kim isn't looking for much.Just a family who enjoys walks, believes in regular cuddle sessions, and doesn't mind having a loyal little shadow following them around.Honestly, she has been preparing for that role her entire life. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.
