Story
Meet Pancake! Pancake is a sweet, curious pup who just wants love and companionship from her humans. Once found alone, shivering under a tree, she’s now thriving in her foster home and learning how to navigate the world with confidence. This smart and active girl loves to keep both her mind and body busy. She already knows to sit, lay down, and "boop" (touching your hand with her nose!) and is doing great with potty training through positive reinforcement—especially when treats are involved! Pancake can be a little pushy with other dogs, so she’d do best with a confident, patient furry sibling to show her the ropes. She’s kennel-trained, enjoys enrichment toys before bedtime, and loves belly rubs, couch snuggles, and trying new treats—blueberries, mango, and chicken are her favorites! She’s still learning to play with kids and manage her excitement during playtime and meals, but she’s just a baby with so much potential. At around 5 months old, Pancake has a lifetime ahead to grow, learn, and love. Adopt Pancake, and you’ll gain a devoted, playful, and loving best friend for life.

Meet Clint Barton! Clint Barton is an extraordinary dog with a heart full of love and loyalty. This remarkable boy is crate trained and potty trained, making him a seamless addition to your home. Though Clint is deaf, it doesnt hold him back from being an incredible companion. Hes adapted beautifully to his unique perspective on the world and responds well to visual cues and hand signals. With resilience and a willingness to learn, Clint is mastering basic obedience and leash walking and is eager to expand his skillsespecially with hand commands. Weve also introduced a vibration collar to help get his attention from a distance, allowing him to safely run and play while staying connected. Clint can be a little shy when meeting new people, sometimes even trembling with uncertainty, but he warms up quickly with patience, walks, and plenty of treats. He thrives on clear communication and structure, which help build his confidence and make him feel secure. Clint is available for foster-to-adopt, offering a wonderful opportunity to see how well he fits into your world before committing to adoption. Deaf dogs may require some adjustments in training, but the rewards of sharing your life with this resilient and loving companion far outweigh the challenges. As with all our dogs, we provide ongoing support and training to ensure you and Clint start off and stay on the right path to happiness. If youre ready to open your heart and home to an extraordinary dog, Clint Barton is waiting to meet you! Clint Barton is UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. ADOPTION DONATION: $600.00. Story
Meet Bronco! Bronco is an amazing pup, estimated to be between 1–2 years old, and he’s still very much in that playful puppy phase. Curious about everything, he loves exploring the world around him and discovering new sights, smells, and adventures. Bronco gets along wonderfully with other dogs and currently has three foster siblings he enjoys playing and lounging with throughout the day. He is also potty trained, and he is currently working on becoming fully kennel trained. This sweet boy is quite the talker—Bronco loves to express himself with silly grumbles, playful barks, and funny little sounds, especially when he’s excited or vying for attention. He has a big personality and an even bigger heart. While he can be a bit skittish at first and sometimes thinks he’s in trouble when you approach, he is quickly learning that people can be kind and gentle. Each day, he grows more confident, more trusting, and more affectionate. In the evenings, Bronco enjoys curling up on a cozy dog bed, and he’ll occasionally trot over to give you a soft “boop” as his sweet way of asking for pets. He also has great protective instincts—if he hears a strange noise outside, he’ll be the first to investigate and alert his people. Bronco is well on his way to becoming a loyal, loving, and devoted companion. With continued patience, reassurance, and love, he will blossom into the incredible dog he is meant to be. He’s ready to find a forever family to adore and protect. Bronco is being fostered in a home in Seguin, TX but can be transported to the PNW and NE United States after adoption. Story
Meet Toffee (brindle) and Heath (white), a bonded pair of one-and-a-half-year-old Catahoula mix brothers with an unshakable connection. These two grew up side by side and have been inseparable ever since. Toffee is hearing-impaired and looks to Heath as his guide and emotional support, while Heath takes that role to heart, always looking out for his brother. Both boys are friendly and affectionate, though they can be a bit timid in new situations. Once they warm up, their personalities shine—Heath is the energetic social butterfly, always ready for playtime or a walk, and Toffee brings a gentle, calming presence with his sweet, soulful eyes. They love running and playing together, whether it’s chasing each other around the yard or stretching out in the grass for a good nap. Their bond makes them the perfect team—Heath gives Toffee confidence, and Toffee keeps Heath grounded. They’re looking for a home that will embrace their unique connection and give them both the love, patience, and space to thrive. With Toffee and Heath, you’re not just adopting dogs—you’re gaining a loyal duo that will fill your life with double the love and twice the tail wags. Story
Welcome Reba to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 1-year-old Shepherd/Greyhound mix dog. She weighs about 65 pounds and is long and leggy. She is a great dog and would make a good running, jogging or walking companion. She has long legs so she could keep stride. She has tons of energy so she would be best with an athletic and active family. She could go with children. She is active so 8 or up would be best. Her best home would be with a fenced yard and time to finish off her training. She was probably gotten as a puppy and put in the backyard. She now is dog sized but has puppy skills. She is a wonderful dog and with some training will make a wonderful family pet. She was rescued from one of the local high kill shelters that are over flowing and asking for help. CCPAL stepped up for her. She is healthy, vaccinated and will be spayed before she leaves the Rescue. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 250 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
MEET HOWIE! This happy, gentle Rhodesian Ridgeback/pit mix is a loverboy! Howie is 5 years young and has a heart full of love to give. He was rescued from a California shelter in very rough shape - he had major skin issues/hair loss and had clearly been neglected, but now he looks so much better! He's appreciative of love and attention and is a very affectionate boy. He's a big snuggler and will want to share your bed. He loves going for walks and other outings. He is good with some dogs but not others, so would probably thrive as the only dog in the home, or with a submissive female. He's been waiting a long time for his own home, and we're hoping 2025 is his year! Howie currently needs a foster or forever home. He weighs about 55-60 lbs. Please email for an application.
