Story
Hello out there, this beautiful girl is Lady Bird. She's an active doggy but is also known as a 'super hugger'. She does well with on-leash walking. Even though she is full of energy, she promises to be a very well-behaved girl, as long as you remind her of that from time to time. There's lots here to love and she's ready to go. Please feel free to contact the shelter for more information. See more on all the ODCHS pets on our Facebook page: Ozark-Dale County Humane Society

Story
I got Jax in October of 2018 when I was living in El Paso, Texas. I got him from a shelter and his age was unknown. They guessed he was around 6 months old. Life has taken us all over the country. He has always been happy-go-lucky. A loyal companion through my many moves and cross country road trips. I got pregnant and had my first baby in August of 2023. I moved into my boyfriend’s apartment and Jax stayed with my parents. Jax is wonderful with my now 2 kids, but I cannot bring him into my apartment and my parents work schedule have him alone a lot of the day. It breaks my heart to have to find him a new home, but he is alone most of the day and I will not be able to provide him with a bigger space for awhile. He does great with my parent’s cat and with my kids. He is happy, goofy and loyal.

Adoption Application adoption application >>>  Meet Maximus – The one year old, 50 pound Ultimate Cuddle Buddy! Maximus (aka Max) is one of the friendliest dogs you’ll ever meet! This lovable boy appears to be a Rottweiler mix, with striking Rottie coloring. Max has a heart full of love, and he absolutely adores cuddling on the couch with his favorite humans – especially the ladies! Max is great with other dogs, getting along wonderfully with the three pups in his foster home, and he loves to play tug-of-war and wrestle with his lab foster brother. While he hasn’t been around young kids yet, he’s shown no signs of aggression and would likely be an amazing companion for children. Max is kennel trained and perfectly content in his space – no whining or crying here! He knows how to sit on command and is still working on perfecting his “stay.” Max’s enthusiasm extends to cats too, and he’d love to make some feline friends, though he might need a little training to get the hang of that. If you’re looking for a playful, friendly, and cuddly companion, Maximus might just be your new best friend! Our adoption fee is $175 and includes age appropriate vaccines, neuter, microchip and a heartworm test. He is negative. If you would like to meet Max, please complete the application listed in the comments below https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=DMBCNVSTVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 26, 2025, 9:46 am
