Meet Willow, a sweet adult dog who is as independent as she is brave. She's incredibly smart, which shines through in her playful antics and loyal demeanor. Willow thrives in a quiet home environment where she can enjoy her own space and time and would do well with a mature adult person or couple and no young children. She gets along well with cats, but can be selective with her canine companions so being an only dog is an option. Willow is eager to be part of a family again and have her own home, and she is a good watchdog who will alert you if a stranger comes to your home.. Willow lived her first few years with a retired couple and slept in their bed with them. Sadly her daddy became ill and they had to rehome her. Despite her independent spirit, Willow still loves to engage in walks on her leash and other fun activities and to show her affectionate side to those she trusts. She will spend her day on your lap watching tv. She is housetrained and knows how to use a dog door to let herself outside to potty, lay in the sun or play in the water in her kiddie pool. She would make an ideal companion for those seeking a loyal and playful friend. Willow's unique blend of sweetness, friendliness, and independence, coupled with her bravery and loyalty, makes her a wonderful choice for adoption. Adoption fee is $250. I had a rough start in life and was found abandoned in the mountains in Sonora, Mexico (hence my name) with a head injury and very sick as a puppy. Some vacationing hikers found me and brought me back to the US to take care of me. I'm healthy now and ready for adoption.I'm not always the easiest dog to manage, but I've had formal training and a few foster families to help me learn how to behave in a home. I've learned a lot, but still have some learning to do. I'm very smart so I know I can continue to learn more.I love running around, cuddling and playing with other dogs. I'm very high energy, love to go on walks, but can be reactive to triggers when on leash. Another dog in the home would be great, but that dog would need to be able to handle my energy level. I need a yard to get my daily zoomies in.If I'm going to be left alone, I need to be confined in a dog proof area or in a crate. I'm not suited for apartment life. I can be shy with strangers at first, but I'm quick to fall in love with most people. Although I've been supervised around young children and did great with them, I tend to jump and play nip when excited so would do best in a dog experienced adult home.I might do ok with cats. A couple of the foster homes had cats and I ignored them or left them alone, but I was never unattended with them.If you're looking for an active great gal and can give me the structure and environment that I need to thrive, please put in an application to meet me. Frankie has been with us since she was a puppy. She is a curious and energetic little girl that loves tug of war and belly rubs. Since she has gotten full grown she has begun to have issues with our older dog. Despite lots of training we have not made the situation better and have decided finding her home without another dog is best for her. She is high energy and needs lots of exercise. She loves kids but can get a little too excited for little ones. She is a Rottweiler/Pitbull mix with some terrier but as you can see in her photos she looks for like a golden.

Update 9/9: Samson has been enjoying his time in foster to decompress! His favorite activities have been sunbathing and rolling around with a toy. He did well meeting another dog!Samson’s stress has been increasing lately in shelter and we are looking for an urgent foster, adopter, or rescue! He`s been seen circling in the kennel, pacing, panting excessively, and seeming generally more frantic than we`ve seen him. :( Samson does great playing with other dogs, but unfortunately does not have this outlet right now due to a recurring limp that has been tricky to heal in shelter. He has done well meeting people/ here and will sit and present his paw for treats, but was reported to be a bit more nervous in a previous home.
