Meet Queen, a 4-month-old Rottweiler mix who acts like any admirable queen would — by staying cool, calm and collected in the chaos. Queen is completely unbothered by the things that send other dogs into a frenzy. The dogs at her foster home are barking at the mailman, and Queen could care less! At a recent adoption event, the dogs next to Queen set off the alarm bells when another dog walked by … meanwhile Queen remained perfectly composed and quiet. Nothing fazes her! While being easygoing might be her most impressive quality, Queen is also sweet, smart and completely endearing. She’s very easy to love! According to a breed test done on Queen’s brother, Queen is half Rottweiler and the other half is made up of 16 different breeds! The second highest percentage is Labrador retriever, but she also has small percentages of some fluffy dogs like golden retriever and husky. Queen is extremely soft! Queen is currently perfecting potty training and crate training in her foster home. She sleeps quietly in her crate throughout the night. Queen is food motivated and eager to please her human. She’s looking for a forever home that will appreciate her already stellar qualities and do just a little work to perfect them. She loves other dogs and plays well with her 3 foster siblings. She loves a good game of chase, and she loves to chew on antlers and toys that squeak. Coco gets excited to go on car rides and is ready to go whenever you pick up the keys. She rides very well in the car. She has had some training and is great with 'sit' and 'down' and offering her paw. She is working on reinforcing the 'stay' and 'come' commands with her foster parents. She would do best with a fenced yard and supervision (at first anyhow). Her previous family reported a tendency to run off. Her foster family has seen no such behavior. Coco is housetrained and is a bit afraid of her crate - which is being worked on. She sleeps all night on her dog bed in the master bedroom. She is a cuddler and wants to be close to her people. Brutus's Story Brutus There’s no pre-heating needed to get this guy to warm up to you! Brutus has a sweet disposition and is friendly and affectionate with people right from the start. He’s easygoing, too – 30 minutes after we met him, he curled up and relaxed on the floor while the humans chatted around him. Rescued after being abandoned behind a restaurant, Brutus is estimated to be two to four years old. He is a good-size boy, weighing about 60 pounds, but is gentle and aware of his size. He takes well to being handled and groomed with a brush. Brutus walks nicely on leash and seems to be good around other dogs, showing interest and keeping calm.
