Story
Please note that we are a TX based rescue. We transport our dogs to new homes once adopted. All our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. Our app can be found at haydudeequine.org **Hi. I’m basically a tiny velvet hippo with legs.** I’m about 4 months old, and I was found abandoned on a rural ranch—which sounds sad, but don’t worry… I’ve decided my life story is actually a glow-up story. I’m expected to be around 45–50 lbs when I grow up, so right now I’m in my “perfectly portable but still squishy” phase. Also important: my coat is ridiculously soft. Like… *velvet soft*. People can’t stop petting me, and honestly? I support that. **Here’s what you should know about me:** • **Velvet Queen** – pet me once and you’ll understand • **Food Motivated Scholar** – I will learn *anything* for snacks. Sit? Yes. Stay? Probably. Taxes? Let’s talk treats. • **Dog-Friendly** – I love having buddies to play with • **Cat Approved** – yes, I can coexist with the mysterious house tigers • **People Lover** – I come pre-installed with affection for everyone • **Playful + Sweet** – I’ve got zoomies *and* snuggles I’m still a baby, so I’m learning all the good house manners, but I’m smart, eager, and very into positive reinforcement (especially if it’s edible). **My dream home:** Someone who wants a loyal, loving, slightly goofy best friend and doesn’t mind having a soft little shadow following them around. If you’re looking for a sweet, social pup with a heart of gold and a coat you’ll never stop touching… I’m your girl. Apply now. I’m cute and I know it. 🐾

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.Maximus is a giant puppy stuck in a big, Big, BIG dog’s body.  He doesn’t understand that he’s 94 pounds and will routinely play with his whole body coming at you.  He is 2 years old and may increase his weight to at least 100 pounds.  He is generally outgoing and loose bodied, walks happily on the leash (very strong and does pull), takes directions well and has been friendly with everyone he’s met. He rides in the car without getting sick.  He is treat motivated and very easy to train.  If you had some treats with you when you walk, he will stick by your side.  Maximus originated from a rural country shelter originally because his young owners did not have any Rottweiler or large dog experience.  He is the kind of dog that needs to be stimulated and allowed to run off his energy by having “play time” outside.  Maximus is a very sweet and trainable dog - but wasn’t given much direction early in his life.  He is very active and loves, loves to play.  It is like he is trying to talk to you begging you to play.  He definitely has something to say!  He has good recall / knows how to “sit, stay, bring it “and has a true desire to play and learn.  His foster mom is working with him daily on redirecting his playful attention to some downtime behavior. Through our interactions it seems like he was not given enough time, attention, or stimulation to keep a dog of his size and breed stimulated.  And like a true Rottweiler he loves to play in water.  If you do not own a pool in your home, I would recommend getting a kiddy pool so he can lounge around as well as happily play with his toys in the water.  In the home he has experience with kids, another dog, and is crate trained and is very comfortable with a living indoors setting.  Small children who don’t understand boundaries though are probably not recommended as Maximus might accidentally knock them over.  We recommend that he be adopted into a home with kids over 12 years old.  MAXIMUS is very toy oriented.  He does not resource guard and he does let go when commanded but it is an understatement to say he LOVES his toys. We are not sure how he gets along with cats as he has not been in a situation to observe him.  Maximus is a big sweet boy hoping to finally find his loving and capable home with a family who is experienced with Rottweilers and love the breed and understand that they are NOT a bully breed but more of a big baby who would be a devoted and loving pet.  If you are interested in adopting Maximus, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you.  www.roxysk9rescue.org   ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         May 1, 2026, 8:46 am

Story
My pet is 7 months old, his birthday is September 10, 2025. I acquired my pet from an Amish breeder in PA. Gunner is energetic/hyper, curious, playful, affectionate/loving, and goofy. Over the past month, due to some unfortunate life changes, we're no longer able to give Gunner the time and stability he needs, and we're looking for the right home for him. Also, Gunner does have a mild heart condition called left ventricular outflow tract obstruction with mild mitral valve dysplasia. Sounds super scary, right? It can be, which is why I neutered him to make things easier on his heart long-term. Gunner can still enjoy a normal puppy life without overexertion, regular monitoring, and no weight gain. So we're just looking for an experienced home who can give him the love and time he deserves and needs.

She's quiet, submissive, respectful of people and pets. Not fearful or shy. Josie lives in a home with a senior mom and daughter, an elderly dog, a pitbull and a bulldog, a couple of Chihuahuas, her sister and two cats. She is crate trained and doing wonderful in the home with house training. She is a super nice dog! She would love a home with kids. She's been around young children.
