Story
Meet Chanel (ACCT-A-211361)! This lovely lady is looking for her forever home and could be the perfect addition to your family. Chanel is a friendly dog who seems to enjoy gentle interactions. She's treat-motivated, taking them gently from your hand (though can get a little snatchy once she’s more comfortable!). While she might be a little shy at first around new people, especially in busy environments, she warms up quickly with treats and positive attention. She walks well on a leash and responds to gentle guidance. She previously lived happily with children and even cats! While she can be a little unsure around new dogs initially, she's shown the ability to be tolerant and even playful after she feels more comfortable. Her previous owner described her as a playful and spoiled dog who still thinks she's a baby! She's used to being indoors and is crate trained. If you're looking for a loving companion who will bring joy to your home, Chanel might just be your girl. Meet her at ACCT Philly any day from 10am-6pm! Additional Notes: Behavior Eval 02/08/2026: Kennel Presentation: Greeted me with a calm and patient body and soft eyes. I put my leash in and allowed her to sniff it for a minute and then I moved it towards her to leash and she backed away. I dropped a few treats and then let her sniff my hand and I leashed her with a big loop with no issue. Leash Skills: On leash, she walked forward hesitantly and responded to my leash pressure. Sociability: In the play yard she had very comfortable and loose body language with me and came right up to me to take treats! She takes them super gently out of my hand. Didn’t seem to know any tricks. She did not actively solicit any pets from me, but was very comfortable in my presence. A little snatchy with treats once more comfortable. Was a little shy when we got to the volunteer office with many new handlers but got much more loose with treats! Super treat motivated! Play: She showed some very mild interest in toys, however never really chased after them, she just watched where they went when I threw them. Dog Interaction: We did a dog meet with a pretty high energy smaller dog. Chanel was conflicted however interested in the interaction. She did some bows, however when they got face-to-face, she will freeze. She doesn’t have a full tail, but it seemed to be in the upright position. As the interaction went on, she got more comfortable, and she was pretty tolerant with the other dog jumping up towards her. However, body language remained tense. Return to Kennel: For returning to kennel she went in easily then tried to back away for unleashing. Color Level: Giving her gold due to some mild fear at first Recommendations and considerations: Video: Chanel hanging out in the room with Sergeant: https://youtu.be/8kU33VuVT3I Chanel takes treats: https://youtu.be/s52NC-U7zrc Sergeant Duke / Chanel pt 1 https://youtu.be/TMVsuGbOhfsSergeant Duke / Chanel pt 2 https://youtu.be/p3WsLtsNyiU Dunkin Midnight / Chanelhttps://youtu.be/icPkUh8Rrgw ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in Philadelphia. Barkley is a sweet 5 yr old rottie mix. She has been in rescue over 3 years. She needs to find her forever home. She does have a high prey drive, so no cats or small dogs. She has done absolutely fine with older children. She has not been exposed to smaller kids other than walking through the store and did fine. She has been completely vetted and is house and crate trained. She loves her belly rubs and will often wait for you to give her one before coming inside. She has no issues

Story
Hi!  My name is Dulce I am looking for a forever home.  Me & a few of my friends were rescued from a pretty bad situation where we lived outside all of the time in a small pen and we were all pretty emaciated and missing most of our hair.  Our initial foster home spent a lot of time doctoring us and giving us lots of good food so now we look really good.  She then reached out to BCAA to see if they could help us all find good homes and they said yes ... yeah!  I appear to be possibly a rottie-hound mix but no one knows for sure as while I weigh a little over 46lbs at around 2 years old, I have short legs so don't look real big when you meet me.  I now have a beautiful black and tan coat which is really thick and has grown back beautifully.  When I first meet new people or go into new situations, I am shy; however, with the 3 T's (time, TLC and treats) I start coming out of my shell and learning I can trust, then I love getting attention and am a "leaner".  I enjoy playing with the other dogs and haven't paid much attention to the cats I've encountered.  I have done really well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of my bed.  I'm starting to get the leash thing down as I have figured out it means I can be out with you and going on an adventure but some additional training wouldn't hurt.  And talking about training, I really, really love my food and treats which you can use to help me learn new stuff.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter. Story
Meet handsome Zeus. He came in with her housemate Bolckka when their owner became too ill to care for them. We can tell you these 2 incredible dogs were absolutely loved and having to rehome them wasn’t an easy decision. The love shows in their personalities. Zeus is a very sweet affectionate dog but does play rough. He loves snuggles and belly rubs so much sometimes its hard to keep him upright when petting him. We know he reportedly got along well with Blockka. Reuniting this pair at the shelter has been unsuccessful so therefore they will be adopted out separately and Zeus will need to be an only dog. Zeus walks nicely on leash and is eager to please, he is crate trained and well-mannered in the home He does take treats a bit rough and has guarding tendencies with his food bowl so we will not be adopting him out to a home with kids and recommend feeding in his crate.

Story
My family is currently going through an extremely emotional and difficult time. Because of this situation, we can no longer provide the care our dog needs. Rocky is a 5-year-old male Rottweiler, he's a wonderful dog loved by all of our friends and family. We went through a lot of training with him and he does not have a mean bone in his body. We can no longer fulfill his needs so we want to be sure he gets the proper care and attention. He is up to date on shots, well cared for, and I have all of his paperwork and medical records. It breaks our hearts, but we want him to have the best possible life and a safe place where he won't be at risk of being put down. One last thing, if you do adopt him... if possible, I would need access just one more time so that my daughter can say goodbye when she returns from college.

Story
This adorable spirited little boy and his siblings came in to rescue last winter after they were dumped on a back country road. Their mother was found deceased, so we took the puppies in to try to save them. They were very sick initially but are very healthy now. Barnabas is a gentle little boy, but dose love to run and play with other dogs. He has done amazing with his house and crate training. He is so deserving of a wonderful home to call his own. She is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions.
